What Energy does this moon phase bring?
I hope you’re ready for the passion to be at an all time high this upcoming new moon! With new moons being a time of new beginnings, it’s a perfect time for manifesting rituals and welcoming in new blessings. I know this may sound contradictory because Scorpio is a fixed water sign and the new moon is welcoming in new blessings (change). However, this new moon also involves a Uranus/Saturn square, helping to bring in more variety to our lives. Scorpio is all about passion and sex, but also jealousy and suspicion. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, moon phases affect everyone in some way (regardless of your sun sign ☀️). However, Scorpio ♏ and Sagittarius ♐ will be affected most by this new moon. Now, if you’re more sensitive, whatever happens in the cosmos is usually felt a few days before it actually takes place.
What can you expect during this time?
Due to Scorpio’s sensual nature, don’t be surprised if you find yourself craving more passion. Passion not only in your sex life and romantic relationships, but passion in your life in general. This includes the urge to seek interests in new and interesting hobbies that make you feel alive. This new moon will pick up where the previous full moon and retrograde left off to help transform you further. In the midst of this “plandemic 😒”, this energy is well overdue and much needed, so embrace these urges to spice up your life.
What should we watch out for during this time?
Although Scorpio energy brings passion and excitement, it also can bring in feelings of jealousy, suspicion, and a drive to “get to the bottom of things”. “What goes on in the dark, will come out in the light” and this new moon could be a perfect example of that old saying. During this new moon, you may find out secrets, discover lies, or just simply feel the need to ask “why”. If you’re hiding something, it may be found out around this time, and if you feel the urge to go snooping… well, be careful because you might find exactly what you’re looking for.
Now that we’ve gone over what this new moon energy will bring, let’s discuss new moon rituals. During the moon cycles, we should all take advantage and really take in the lessons she has for us. I personally like to do my own new moon rituals during this time. Since this is a time to manifest what we want and welcome in new blessings, I like to write what I want to manifest on a bay leaf and burn it or write what I want to manifest on a piece of paper and fold it toward me. Folding paper towards you brings whatever you’re manifesting to you. I also meditate and connect with Spirit during this time. For cleansing, I like to either take a shower with GemHealings body scrub or take a cleansing bath with their bath soak. both products are made using dead sea salt, himalayan sea salt, and flowers. The salts previously mentioned help to draw impurities out of the skin and are great for exfoliating the skin while also cleansing the spirit.
