Over the past few weeks, I wanted to test my video skills. So I made a music video for myself and my partner, whom allowed me to use her character, Levi/Wrynn. This story has already concluded a couple years ago, but I wanted to make a memento of one of my biggest stories that I hold dear for her.
As for why I’m sharing it here: I think it’s pretty cool! Maybe someone will like watching it, which would be amazing. 🤣 And I’d like to keep it somewhere for posterity.

Sharing some behind the scenes. The many clips you see allows me to use the overabundance of animations I had sitting around. Heck, I included my own personal paintings/drawings by recolouring CC at some frames. I still don't know how to make a standalone recolour.
I’m by no means a professional -- I accidentally left my mouse cursor in some clips lol -- but it’s honest work. And I’m proud of how far I came since I dabbled in my first video in 2020 (which is way too cringe for me to share here lmao)

This hair was commissioned by the sweetest human being @reeyalstate ! For their lil apocalyptic guy (hence the uneven hair coloring)
This hair comes with an ombre accessory which will be compatible with all future hairs of mine. (Plus my link hair)
And it also comes with metalic and matte hair tie overlays! I'm not 100% happy with the specular on the metallic version, so the metal colors are also available in matte.

I asked @electricwhims if I could commission them for his hair and they graciously agreed (and I heard they'll be opening soon, check them out!). As I did with Z'riwyn, I gave my concept sketch (under read more) to them and they brought Sebastian's hair to life. I couldn't be more happier and grateful to them.

Magana Hair Concept → Process
I figured to make it very clear of what I want; a messy, short-med hair where the dude had no access to a professional stylist, so he relies on box-dyes and fails to dye everything successfully lol! I took pictures of my bald sim and drew on top of it before passing it on to electricwhims.
The sculpting process! They asked for the sim because they sculpt around them, which I thought was a great idea. Electricwhims allowed me to post their WIPs. ✨ He looked pretty good in pink, ngl.
The ombre process. It looked great! Then we did a slight change at the end to make sure the ombres are staggered to achieve the messy "the dude missed this spot" look at some strands.
The QA part (or as electricwhims said: "the bug reports!"). While I loved that they sculpted around my sim, I tested to see what happens if it's on a bare sim with no cc/sliders at all - and saw the little strands poking from the neck.
And then that's it! Electricwhims has been such a joy to work with. For being a beginner, they are already improving so fast! Please give them some love when they open up. ♥
