Wilderness = Time to grow. Embracing your purpose in life is not limited to your comfort zone. The wilderness is a place where you may be uncomfortable physically, spiritually or psychologically. Yet, this may be the place where your future is determined. Your purpose is tested and strengthened during these times. The wilderness is a place where you have all your T’s crossed and your I’s dotted so that your great purpose can unfold. Often, we are convinced that we are forsaken and forgotten during this time. Sometimes we may only see a few steps ahead. By taking the few steps we can see, we discover the next steps that we do not see. During this wilderness time, surround yourself with quality people who come to your cause and not just those who come to your success! Happy Mother’s Day! This day is a time when we honor mothers. Many of these unsung heroes shaped the lives of multitudes and affected the culture for generations. Mothers are often women of courage! It takes great courage to help children navigate through life. It takes tremendous courage to take a stand for biblical values rather than follow the voices of current philosophies. For mothers who gave up their child for adoption or lost a child, you are honored. The very fact that your womb was used to carry a child required great courage. Elenore Roosevelt said about courage. “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” Let this be a time when you honor your physical mother or your spiritual mother. These are women who shaped your life. If your mother was not the kind of mother you felt you needed, honor her anyway. Do the thing that you think you cannot do.
