I love how squall was like in the first book “kidnap you? This isn’t a kidnapping it’s your first lesson on how to be a Wundersmith” basically saying I’m not kidnapping you to Morrigan and then in Silverborn when Morrigan asks how he knows about her mother or something he says “you don’t think I do background checks before attempting to kidnap people” basically admitting that he kidnapped her. So what is it 😂😂

ok so when squall says “there is black ice at the heart of you” I don’t think he means that she’s inherently evil. Black ice is clear and thus makes it tricky to see on roads. I think he is saying that Morrigan has a bravery and willfulness about her that most will not see at first and thus underestimate her. She’s not ms nice person either which I love unlike a lot of middle grade protagonist. A lot of what squall says about her is true and yes she does have potential I believe to have chosen the “evil” side because of everything that has happened to her in her life but she doesn’t. I don’t know what squall is planning but I don’t even think he wants an “evil” heir, but a willful, stubborn, powerful, emotional, one of a kind girl that is Morrigan. Ok that’s enough of that lol

do you think in future books that Morrigan will join squall in his plan? Not in a way where she helps him take over Nevermoor but in a sense where she is betrayed by others and he is her only option? Maybe she gets sent back to the republic?
