Ponnish is a palmkind supersoldier that was cloned by scientists. Unfortunately, they used questionable DNA and expired ingredients and she was born with some facial deformities. She is still ridiculously powerful, though. Because she struggles to chew tough meat, her brother makes her a dish called "chaliapin steak". I made chaliapin steak for dinner in celebration of finishing her plushie. Ponnish will be available for attack during Artfight.

Quickie pen pic of a palmkind. Their leaves look like banana leaves, but don't ever tell one that. They will get mad.

Drawing this made me feel like perhaps I should be getting ready...possibly for a fight of some sort? A fight of the art variety?

Also, I was testing my watercolor of the month club. This month was blueberry, and I also got white for signing up.

Ponnish is a palmkind hybrid that was artificially made to be a supersoldier. However, they used expired materials and questionable DNA from an extinct creature (called a rubberfaced umagorn). As a result, Ponnish was born missing most of the bones in her face. She can only chew very soft things, which is a problem because palmkind are carnivorous. Her brother, Degrence, makes her a dish called chaliapin steak (I've made before, it's a steak tenderized by a mallet and by using natural enzymes in grated onions).

The Thalasin siblings, aka the "Dumpwater 10". They are a group of palmkind hybrids that were supposed to be genetically engineered super soldiers, but the engineers used expired materials and they came out...different.

My palmkindsona (very early version, will update) is breaking down. Starsong offers comfort.

I drew this because I was in a rough depressed episode. It felt like I was a shrew piloting a mech suit made of lead, with only a single AA battery to power it. Playing my theremin (Starsong) helped.

"Catamount"

Catamount was a palmkind at one point. A palmkind that could turn into a cat. Everyone loved the cat form, so much that Catamount spent more and more time in that form. In addition, she grew more and more powerful, which caused her to grow more fronds. Eventually, she had so many fronds that they covered her whole body in palmkind form and in cat form. She spent so much time as a cat that she forgot how to change back and now exists as a mass of fronds with a cat mouth.
