Stanley, my newest plushie. He's a warden/lekkeen hybrid.
I don't know much about him yet other than he's shy and likes gyros.
"You…wanted to see me?" the hunched over, mossy haired creature asked nervously.
"Yes, Terry, right? My miners said you were looking for employment. From my understanding, you are a refugee from Blockadia. Is that right?" the alien CEO known by all as Solaryan replied.
"Yeah…I'm a rascal. Most of us had to leave when humans brought back the sniffers from extinction. I, I have a lot of experience mining, hehe!"
Solaryan was quiet for a moment. She lightly ran one tentacle tip across an ornate urn with a striped star design on it.
"I've heard of rascals. You know the mines and biomes better than anyone, you can see in the dark, and quite good at hide and seek."
Solaryan turned to Terry.
"My sister is hiding in Blockadia and I need you to seek her," Solaryan explained, "At first, I had no idea where she was. Blockadia is divided into realms, and each realm is close to infinite. However, recent order for a pair of prosthetic allay wings alerted me to the realm she is in, at least."
Solaryan paced back and forth, trying to remain stoic.
"My sister Lunaryan is very…friendly towards wardens. She started a new life treating them after…
….
Anyway, those mindless cave beasts WILL be the death of her if I don't get her home."
"Wait, WARDENS?!" Terry exclaimed, shuddering.
"Don't worry, you aren't fighting them and I'll be sure you are well equipped to defend yourself should you encounter one. You'll have everything you need for dealing with wardens, pillagers, zombies, bears, factions…you name it. I am willing to fund this effort, I do not…I CANNOT let anything happen to Lunaryan. We're…the last Tessers left."
Solaryan looked at the urn once more.
"Will you help me find her?"
"Yes, I'll do it," Terry agreed.
"Excellent," Solaryan said, shaking Terry's stubby hand with one tentacle, "Welcome to VaporCorp."
This is Dr Tesser, but... I'm going to retcon her. I think I'm going to redesign her to be an allay. I woke up and realized how cringe it is to use my own creatures here :/
This year, I've decided not to do Inktober because of their stance on AI and art theft...plus the prompts are mostly hiking themed. None of the other challenges really spoke to me, but I still want to do a daily challenge in October.
These are 31 words that came to mind when I thought of vaporwave. When I draw them, they won't be vaporwave styled or themed, unless that happens to be what I want. I might get some good ideas to replace some of these, but by Sept 15th, I'm locked into them.
Day 9: Statue
A naked statue of Starsong was built in a park as part of a fountain. Some of the more prudish citizens want it removed, but it still stands. Ducks and pigeons gather around the statue.
Day 4: Mall
Twin Palmz, the sentient shopping mall, once saw a tinkaton that was badly defeated fighting a battle she was vastly outmatched in. The tinkaton's bravery and tenacity impressed Twin Palmz, so they granted the tinkaton the power of a god and gifted her the powerful hammer known as "Mallnir".
Day 1: Nostalgia
I get nostalgic for big lollipops and carousels because that's what I'd do/get on vacation when I was little.
Starsong in her hatman form. I uh, tweaked her design a little.
