i ate bacon (on an egg and cheese biscuit) for the first time in ??? and now my tummy hurts

#is it the bacon? the heat? or the fact the biscuit was the size of my head?#all 3? who knows #but this is dumb and now i’m laying down about it

josie needed to get some energy out and i didn’t exactly want to sit home all day so we drove an hour away to raleigh so she can smell new smells and i got a fun coffee and then came home (we only walked like 2 blocks in the city, it’s 100° after all and she doesn’t have puppy shoes)

today’s run felt really good despite the heat and i saw 3 deer

#i *only* did 2 miles #if next week feels like this week felt i’ll do a 5k friday

i refuse to believe “heat training makes you faster in the fall” i think it’s more so “i consistently trained thru one season so the next one showed my improvements”

my headphones died as i started lap 4 (of 8 - 2 miles) of my run so i cut my losses and only finished the mile bc i don’t love running enough to do it with just my demons and no music to drown them out

#also trying not to beat myself up for *only* doing 1 mile #bc a year ago i couldn’t even do that

i think my nextdoor neighbors rooster either died or they got rid of it bc i havent heard it’s annoying ass in a couple days

in an effort to idk meet someone in the wild? i’m trying to do more in store activities v just online shopping and my god are the pickings slim but also ew people

#also not to be that person but why am i always the hottest person in the grocery store #i went to 5 stores in person while running errands and browsing and all i did was get annoyed at children and everyone else’s first day

i don’t think i’ve ever been more disappointed in a book series

like shit just …ended. the first several books made it seem like SO MUCH was about to happen and then like the big moment came and everyone was all “ok yup, you’re right, bye!” like ?????

#don’t waste your time is what i’m saying #it’s a 10 book series that fizzles out after book like 4? 5?#but i was in it for the long haul and im mad about it now

i forgot to pack salad dressing and no one in this damn office has any

#there is every other condiment you can think of tho #i might get desperate and concoct something

i need to talk to someone who has read the off campus books and also seen the show. i read them years ago and loved them (they got me back into reading) and i need to either complain or get my memory checked (maybe both?)

instead of being in raleigh celebrating the hurricane’s stanley cup win, i worked overtime this morning (blocking roads for a juneteenth 5k) and now im spending like $350 on car maintenance (also did an amazon return and got fun coffees for my troubles and will pick up my local bookstore subscription when i leave here)

#oil change and new air and cabin filters and a coolant flush or something like that?#my ac went out last weekend when driving and i didn’t just spend all that money last summer fixing my ac for old coolant to take it out #at least i don’t have a car payment #will drive my 2010 rav4 until it explodes on me #i paid it off like 7? 8? years ago and haven’t even LOOKED at another car #idk why im defending my car in the tags but here i am

learned that 30 min is about my max on a treadmill run until that weird dizzy nauseous feeling hits when i get off it
