This blog is the home for all things Reign of Chains-related on Tumblr!

Reign of Chains is a series set in a world of fantasy with an all-furry cast. Currently it contains the comics Broken Crown and Chosen One which are both written and illustrated by myself, Kaikree.

Reign of Chains is rated 16+ and contains mature themes including but not limited to violence, adult language, abusive situations, and other sensitive topics.

Art Delays

Hey guys, I've got some bad news. Since last Friday I have pretty much lost the functionality of my Cintiq tablet. I've tried multiple solutions but the best guess I currently have is that a recent Windows 11 update made the tablet driver incompatible. The only solutions to that are to reformat my laptop to a previous Windows (and hope that is in fact the problem), get ahold of a laptop with a previous Windows installed, or get a new tablet that is compatible with Windows 11.

All of these solutions are possible, but none are immediate. I have an ipad that I am going to continue working with, but that comes with its own issues. The ipad is older and runs on a 'lower' CSP license that lacks some of the functions I have on my computer. My brushes and assets (both custom and accumulated) that I rely on to work quickly are only on the computer. The file sizes of in-progress commissions are rough for the ipad to deal with while I'm working on them, which isn't... Ideal. Sending WIP updates to folk takes a bit longer as I have to transfer files from the ipad to my laptop. I am not listing these issues to complain but to offer a look at why I beg for leniency and patience!

I am going to try and get this problem fixed whatever way I can as quickly as possible, but my speed is going to take a massive hit because of the extra steps that using the ipad puts into the process.

To summarize, all uploads and artwork are going off schedule and will be completed as quickly as I am able to do so! This includes comic pages! I won't put dates to anything at the moment as I have never needed to rely on the ipad to do pieces completely and don't have a point of reference yet on how long it will take in comparison to my usual speed.

I want to apologize to you all who are waiting for orders and updates to the story, and a massive thank you to all the support that you've given me thus far!!

If Sarafina already has feelings for Tsirava and Takasa, will tsirava continue to be jealous of them or will she no longer be jealous knowing that her feelings are reciprocated?

If this were more a slice-of-life story this is the part where I'd probably spout some 'wait and see' but aahhh

I love talking about the characters and I don't want their relationship to be mistaken as cheating or a love triangle

Balancing the pacing between interpersonal character relationships and the overall plot is a tough scale to weigh

so to hell with it, I'll answer pretty much anything that isn't plot-relevant

Tsirava's jealousy becomes more of a non-issue now that Fina is aware of her feelings.

The biggest part of Rava's problems were that she likes Fina but is in a position where getting caught even expressing a desire to be friendly can trigger her mother's abuse. There's a lot going against her having a healthy, not-emotionally-confusing approach towards Fina. She's young! Fina has been her only serious crush since childhood! She's never had a close relationship with any adults who are in loving dynamics that she could learn from!

The shortest answer is that Tsirava is no longer in a position where she can't shoot her shot with Fina at all, which is what was fueling a lot of that jealousy.

I was reading the toyhouse characters and-

Empress Dani and Siba seem to have similar backstories almost like the two parallel each other.

Or perhaps I misread the two's characterization in which case my apologies

Siba is actually not mine, so I can't talk on her characterization!

She belongs to mDaisystar732, though she does exist canonically as one of Thiqa's daughters.

Sometimes I remember finding a reddit thread about someone who made a whole fantasy escape world in their mind based on this comic. It makes me happy to think that there was something in the story that someone liked so much that they wanted that, even if it's shown in a way that I personally can't fully understand. I understand enough to get that it means a lot to that person and that
