Reki practises late at night, constantly falling, injuring and hurting himself— instead of getting help or anything, he degrades himself in his head. When Reki skates and falls, he lands on his left wrist. In the show we see how he always injures that wrist, or how it hurts. But he never gets help for it. Reki always gets hurt while skating, but he doesn't do anything about it— instead he thinks he deserves the pain. For example when Reki got beaten up in the alleyway. He got punched and kicked by several intoxicated men older than him, but instead of getting up or calling for help, he sat there for hours— thinking he deserved the pain while thinking negative thoughts. He sat there in pain and thought "this feels good" Or when Reki got hit by a car (and got kidnapped to a love hotel despite being a minor), he didn't tell anyone. Only Takashi and God as his witnesses. No one knew about him getting ran over or beaten up because he didn't tell anybody. He doesn't think he's worthy enough to tell somebody, he doesn't think he's worthy enough for somebody to care. He constantly injures himself throughout the show, be it in beefs or by practising, he just always brushes the pain off, making the excuse that he deserves the pain to be better or simply because he just doesn't care enough. Reki $H's in a way where he injures himself but not directly from a bl@de or anything, but instead from skateboarding, and when he receives an aching pain in his body- he endures it, thinking it's the right thing for him. He doesn't care about his injuries, only about getting good- and because of that, he constantly gets hurt. It's almost like he hurts himself on purpose- not the typical getting hurt from learning tricks but instead the getting hurt from practising for hours on end. He doesn't care if it hurts. He $H's in a way he doesn't even realize it's $H.
