back in my day, taylor swift used to do very personally charitable shit like buying a house for a pregnant fan and paying $30,000 for a fan’s college tuition. venue employees used to say that she would leave aside extra tickets for people who had accidentally bought scam/fake tickets. her albums used to be complete pieces of art and not cash grabs that you had to buy 10+ versions of to get every track from the album

god. sorry for not being on this blog much lately but it’s so hard to post anything positive about taylor when she’s acting like this

palestine is unfortunately my final nail in the coffin with this woman. i have adored her for well over a decade, ive collected cds, vinyls, clothes, seen her live, but i literally cant do this anymore. its spineless, greedy behavior and its gotten to a point where i cannot in good faith say i can support someone who is not only silent about genocide, but who still rakes in so much money with no thought to the climate in which she is making these announcements. she ran from tumblr for being called out about her silence years ago, and she ran from twitter when swiftiesforpalestine was trending, and im just done. i cant. and it fucking hurts so bad because i genuinely love her music with every fiber of my being. i love her story telling and her joy and her stage presence and her lyricism. but if i cant look myself in the mirror after standing for my own convictions, then its just not worth it. and after how she lashed out at fans for being mad when she dated a homophobic racist??? to the point where she cut long live to sing a song calling us vipers dressed in empaths clothing to our FACES????? i cant do this anymore, and im heartbroken about it.

i saw that she stopped posting her tour posts on twitter and just laughed in disbelief.. like she ran from tumblr because we said her silence on blm was fucked up, now she’s running from twitter because they’re saying her silence on palestine is fucked up. so she’s keeping her shit to instagram where she can turn off comments and the only person in her feed is herself.

i’m just so disgusted and furious with her at the moment i don’t even know what to do with it.

talking about Palestine, talking about celebrities needing to speak up about Palestine, has never and will never be "fandom drama" btw. that is such a fundamentally ridiculous sentiment. do not lose sight of what is important here, which is and ONLY is Palestine. we want celebrities like taylor to speak about Palestine because it would create real tangible help FOR PALESTINIANS. this isn't about anything else. so respectfully, if you even for a second treat this as fandom drama, you are missing the entire point, and are choosing to make this about yourself, which is beyond words for how unacceptable that is.
