i think we as a society need to use cell phones/laptops/cars/backpacks to flesh out characters

like. a character has a cracked phone screen and a dozen stickers and a glittery case and a photo of their dog as a background. that says so much

or a character has a completely plain phone with no decorations and a default home screen and all the contacts are people's first names with no profile photos. except for one contact which is a stupid nickname and a shot of someone taken at a very unflattering angle. you know?

or cars!!! someone who has a disgusting car, with trash everywhere and mud caking the seats, but the passenger seat is always clean, because someone else always cleans it for them.

i do think it’s funny when you’ve been into a thing long enough that you’ve done all the serious analysis you can do so now you’re mostly just thinking up looney tunes scenarios to put the characters in

Thank you! The original premise of One Bar was that Phil's five minutes of wifi would be used to answer tumblr asks. ...But now it's been a year and a half, and I still haven't published the last part of the "introduction". So. Now they're more like two parallel stories.

In retrospect, having Phil on a rooftop for every update would be boring to look at. I think I lucked out!

I don't advertise the ask blog side of things much because my free time is quite limited, and I want to make sure I can get to everything in a sensible timeframe. But rest assured I'm always happy to get them.)

(i regret to inform that paul blart mall cop 2 is, in fact, real. i remember more of it than i do the first movie. this is not a compliment.

all you need to know is that it's 4% fat jokes, 95% advertisement for a casino, and 1% paul blart's mom getting vaporised by a milk truck. thats not a joke btw i think the actress just wanted out of her contract)
