At the message, a series of short chirps and coos are heard from his comms.

It might seem meaningless, unless Cirrus happens to understand some form of Cybertronian morse code. The chirps and coos could then be read as

"-.-- . …"

No response from Smokescreen, but the bird sure seems to have a lot to say. He's not sure what normal bird communication is like, so maybe this is just normal? But a bird comming him through a friend's frequency definitely isn't!

Something about these chirps itch at the back of his processor. There's something familiar about the pattern, almost reminding him of....

"Hey, uh, could you repeat that?"

Maybe he imagined it. Maybe the bird won't even understand. He's pretty sure they don't speak English or Cybertronian, or any language he knows, but... well, it can't hurt to ask.

Through the commline, there is a series of pigeon cooing, somehow.

Cirrus.... stares into the empty space in front of him. Baffled.

Huh?

How is... is that a bird? How does a bird have his commlink? Huh?

It takes him an embarrassingly long time to even think to check the frequency. When he does, he's not sure if the fact that he recognizes it makes it better or worse. Smokescreen.... Did something happen to him?
