By the reaction that was written on Remis face, it wasn’t something that she would do. He didn’t blame her. It took alot of courage to get out of the comfort zone and do something that was scary. Like flirt with someone they didn’t know. Or just start randomly talking to anyone. “I can understand that. It can be nerve wracking to step out and talk to someone new. I’m sure that you have some flirting skills. A little hair flip? Cute eyes? Flirty look?”he smiled. Ryder nodded. That was true. They had a bond that was just like blood family. “You’re right it is. Cause we are there for each other just like a normal family and we would do anything for each other.”Ryder led them over to the table. He sat down looking out the window before focusing his attention back on her. “Well as a firefighter we see some crazy calls that even stump us how they did this. But, people watching its not too crazy but it would have to be someone singing as loud as they can, music full volume, and almost walked into a pole because they weren’t paying attention. They were feeling the music and dancing and singing their hearts out. How about you?”

Even just the idea of trying to be cute and flirty brought an embarrassed laugh out of Remi who shook her head quickly in dissent. "I uh - no, you know. I don't think I have like any skills. At all. It's actually rather pathetic how quickly I turn into just...a dumb puddle," she admitted with a light shrug of her shoulders. It had been one aspect in life that Remi had just never grown into. As much as she loved the idea of going out there and having the confidence to flirt, when it came time to try and talk to a pretty girl, it was all over. "That's like really cool, though. Found family is a pretty great thing. And with all the stuff you guys do and the danger, I mean, it's got to be pretty special." She could only imagine the type of things they saw on a regular basis and had to go through together. Even if they weren't blood family, they were about as close to it as they could get. Chuckling as he talked about his funniest people watching memory, Remi let her head tilt to the side for a moment in thought. "Oh, man, mine probably...oh, I've seen some pretty wild stuff on the yachts I worked. Got to watch a proposal happen and the girl got so pissed because it wasn't the exact ring she wanted. She threw it off the boat. It was a very expensive ring, so that was like. Total chaos."

The arrival of the new baby to the Elliot family had been nothing short of exciting and Remi had been over to help whenever she could, doing whatever little things she could to make things easier on Hudson and Lexi. Things had settled to a bit of calm, Beckett asleep in the crib next to them as Remi and Hudson hung out. "You ever just like look at him and think how crazy it is that a bald wrinkly baby is cute, but when you look like that in a few years you'll just be a weird looking old dude?"

Living in Hawthorne Heights, it was easy to tell when cars were approaching. The gravel crunched as tires rolled across them. Abraham hadn't been expecting anyone but that was merely the nature of the business. The barn held set hours for both visitors and those boarding their horses at the property, so unless someone explicitly told them that they were coming, Abraham was often surprised by it. He didn't recognize the vehicle, but he did recognize the young woman that stepped out of it, the vehicle making its descent down the driveway afterwards. "Remington," he smiled pleasantly, wiping his hands on his jeans, "to what do I owe this honor?" It seemed the Elliot siblings were making a habit of showing up at the estate lately.

Since her last talk with Georgia about her intended future with Abraham, it had been on Remi's list of things to do to go seek the man out for a chat. She knew him a little bit, but most of the time spent with him had been when she'd been far too young to really remember much of it. With no real plans for the day, she'd caught an Uber out to Abraham's business, figuring she would catch him there and hang out for a bit before hiking her way back home. Walking over with a bit of a hop to her step, Remi offered a wide smile before she paused abruptly, brow lifting dramatically. "Oh no. Georgia didn't remind you?" she began, biting at her lower lip. "It's Elliot Day. You're supposed to be ready...it's...you know. Sort of a big deal." There was, of course, no such thing as Elliot Day, but if she didn't show up with a full plan to harass Abraham, she would have been disappointed with herself.

"It's easy to do." she nodded. "I was watching a video about a cold case one time and the next thing I knew I was getting videos of dolphins in the ocean, both two entirely different things." she sighed. "Still not sure how my social media algorithm got so messed up, but -" she shrugged. "It happens to all of us I guess." At the other's question, Gia smiled a little wider. "I'd love to walk that direction and tell you a bit more about the band and how we got started." she admitted. "It's a great conversation to have while walking." she nodded. "And to look forward to potentially seeing porpoises in the end? Count me in." she nodded, waiting for the other to lead them in the direction they needed to go. Something Gia still was learning about this town was how to navigate it. "I actually created the band for my high school talent show." she admitted. "My dad was a musician and I've always known I kind of wanted to follow in his footsteps. Music has been my calling since I was tiny." she admitted, exhaling. "So it started as a talent show gig, we ended up winning which landed us the chance to sign an EP with a recording label and well, here we are." she stated. "Still feels kind of surreal, but, I've loved every part of it." she admitted. "I'm Gia by the way, lead vocalist and bass guitarists incase you were curious. My sister Frankie is our drummer, and then we have our other two friends here as well, both on backing vocals all living under one roof." she paused, realizing at this point she were rambling. Something she could really do when it came to talking about the band. As the other admitted that six months was basically still new, Gia laughed. "My plan is to be here permanently, at least for awhile." she nodded. "If there's ever an opportunity to move onto something better I can't say we won't take it, but, for now, this is home." @remingtonelliot

"Totally messed up, but somehow it always still knows exactly what you want to watch. It's lowkey a little creepy," she said with a quick laugh and a shake of her head. As often as it switched things up on her, she couldn't deny that most of the time when she got lost in the algorithm it was all things that she couldn't stop watching. Her head bobbed enthusiastically, motioning for Gia to follow her so they could walk and talk. "Yeah, it's not too far, so easy walk and talk." The sea life at the end of the walk only made it all the more worthwhile. Taking off, Remi started to navigate her way down towards the small area where the porpoises often were found, head tilted towards Gia to listen as she talked about building the band. "So, you're basically living the dream, then? That's so cool," she hummed, a hint of admiration in her voice. As someone who had failed at every turn to pursue her own passions, Remi always found it inspiring to see people actually out there pushing to make their dreams come true. "Gia, okay, yeah, good to meet you. Totally armed to impress the rest of the band now that I know the whole backstory." She didn't think she'd met any of the others yet, but with her job at the cafe she did meet quite a lot of people in passing. "I'm Remington, though, uh, no musical talent whatsoever, but a decent tour guide." They'd come down by that point towards the water, Remi's eyes scanning the inlet for just a moment before she spotted the familiar cresting of the porpoises not too far out. Her hand lifted to point towards them, grin curling across her lips. "It's not so bad here. I've left and come back a lot, but uh, it's always a good spot to land."

"Okay so we've got every streaming service under the sun," he took the remote and turned the TV on before looking at his sister. "And we have almost every candy known to man," he looked at the stash on the coffee table before them before looking at both dogs and wagging a finger at the them to behave. Having his baby sister over was something he liked to do as often as he could, something he and Georgia both took to heart was to take care of their siblings. Remi, being the youngest just so happened to fall under the category of who to take the most care of. Riley definitely took his brother duties very seriously, having a dynamic with each of his siblings, and cherishing each relationship he had with them.

Plopping down onto the couch, Remi sank down into the cushions and let herself get comfortable. It had been awhile since she'd hung out with just her brother and she was excited to catch up and see how he was doing. "Mmm, maybe just Dr. Becky on YouTube? She has a new video out today I think," she suggested. Most of her spare time watching TV was spent on things related to space and science, soaking in whatever current research she could. "But, catch me up on you too. I promise I'll listen as best as I can while also listening to Dr. Becky." It was said with a joking smile, though there was every chance that she would end up zoned out listening to one of her favorite YouTubers talking about space. "You leave on your honeymoon soon right?"

"I think it would be some kind of world record if I were to take the whole of Kismet out. I'd better get busy, then, eh?" Enid knew most people that were her age had been out on plenty of dates, but she'd never been too interested in meaningless relationships. "I don't. But, I'd always be down to build some legos. It's probably a great form of stress relief, and so fulfilling to see it come together. I think you've got me convinced." She gave a nod. "Just something they picked for me. My dad always loved Edgar Allan Poe, so he thought the name Raven would be fitting. What's your middle name? I feel like that's always one of those random facts I love to learn about people," she said with a tilt of her head. "Well it sounds like now is the perfect time for you to get yourself a spider."

"Definitely a record and I totally support you. I'd guess like at least you'll leave here with what? Five to ten dates on the board?" she chuckled, the realization sending a quick shot of anxiousness through her own body. It was stressful enough to do it once, let alone a dozen more times that afternoon. "It is! Very solid stress relief and its always cool to see it all come together. If you ever want a set, I have a ton you could borrow," she offered. "No, I like it. Raven is a cool middle name. Mine's Grace which is like, very basic to balance out the sort of weird first name, I think." It was something she'd never asked her parents before and there was a brief pang of regret when the thought hit that she now couldn't ask her mom. Her head shook gently, pulling the smile back to her face as she refocused back on the moment. "You know, it would be a kind of cool pet. I'll have to see if my roommate is cool with spiders before I go get one. Do you have any pets?"

It was nice to be able to live in a city that was well-lit. It was also nice that she would admit to getting away too. "The light in New York City is always so amazingly bright. I'm just amazed every time I fly in, you know?" It was something she was doing once a month now, yet it never seemed to get old. "You should come with me sometime. I have my apartment in the West Village. You can go and explore, hit up museums, and then we can hang out after. Go see a couple of musicals. In the summer, they have movies in the park. That's always so fun." Ruby frowned slightly; she missed it. She missed living in New York full-time. Everyone she loved was here, though, and that was what mattered the most. She was just thankful she had an excuse to go back, even for a short time. "Girl dinner is like when you kind of just eat whatever you can find in the house. Usually, I don't even grab a plate. Just a napkin and a glass of wine." Ruby laughed, though most days there were actual meals prepared for her. "About two weeks in June, I'll be gone longer, I think, because I'll be in New York for work. I think Riley is going to fly out to meet me in the city, then we can fly from there. Why do you wanna come house sit?" Ruby joked, though she knew Remi loved staying at their place and hanging out with the dogs. "You're more than welcome. The dogs adore you." @remingtonelliot

Remi had always been more of a nature girl than a city girl. Some of her best memories were being out where the world felt far away, none of the city lights anywhere around to disturb the quiet and peace that fell over the world when there was nothing else around. "Doesn't feel like suffocating to you? Being surrounded by just like buildings?" she asked, quite confident that was how she would feel in a big city like New York. "But, uh, yeah, maybe. I can like. I'll try and save up for a flight, maybe sometime later this year." She never minded traveling if there was a good reason to and it clearly meant a lot to Ruby, so she'd happily go explore the city for a few days with her. Since she was only working part-time, the expense of traveling was beyond her budget, but it was always good to have a goal and a reason to save up for something worthwhile. Snorting a bit as Ruby explained girl dinner, her head bobbed in understanding. "That's basically all of my dinners. Either I find something in a cabinet somewhere or I'm down at the gas station." If she wasn't at a sibling's place for dinner, that was about the best she ever did for herself. Her shoulders lifted in a shrug when Ruby asked about her house sitting. She'd done so before for Ruby and Riley when they needed her and she was always willing to help if they needed her to. "I can if you need someone. I don't have any current plans to disappear any time soon, so I should like be here for the dogs if you need me."

"That is very correct. I have friends who are doctors and love telling stories and I remember helping some of them studying in med school too. So I have picked up a lot of information and knowledge from them," he replied with a smile. Vincent was not someone who got that worried at all but he understood there were people who were fearful about injuries even tiny one getting infected for sure. She'd had a few courses over the years, particularly when she'd been in yachting, so she could handle the small things enough to not die. "Your secret is safe with me." Clementine laughed. Truthfully she was sure that Corinne wouldn't care if it was in moderation, they were picky about what their kids consumed on a regular basis but it wasn't the end of the world if they got something like Cheez-It's or something on a rare occasion. As Remi seemed to insist that the other take Corinne out, Clementine felt her smile grow, a nod to agree with the other's enthusiasm. "I'll take her out and you'll be first suggestion, promise." Clementine smiled. Though she knew that Corinne would never have a problem with letting her little sister watch their kids for a night out. Not to mention Hallie was old enough to almost do it on her own; at least with Remi there was an actual adult around in case something happened. "I also know the girls would love to have you around." Clementine spoke, nodding. "You're one of their favorite people to have around." she admitted. It was a few minute break in conversation when she left to get things, returning to Remington being covered in sand. Chuckling she watched as the girls began working more diligently to get more of the sand castle built. "You guys are doing so well already." she admitted. "I definitely never complain about getting to work in France." she laughed. It had quickly become one of her favorite places in the world. "And no, I'm back for as long as I can be." she smiled. Though Corinne had never once said it, Remington had to imagine that not having Clem around for the stretch she'd been gone had been tough on her sister. If she could step in and watch the kids for a night to give them some time alone to catch up and really just enjoy each other, she was happy to encourage it. "Good. Any time you want, I'm there. I...think she probably needs it, you know? She'd never say it, but I will." The fact that she could give her sister a night out with her wife and get to spend the evening hanging out with her nieces at the same time was an all around win as far as Remi was concerned. She loved being around the girls just as much as they seemed to enjoy being with her. To say that she missed being around kids all the time after losing her last job would be an understatement. She'd loved the job, the family, all of it, and as tough as it had been adjusting back to life in Kismet, her own family being around had help smooth that transition. Shoveling scoops of wet sand into the bucket, Remi let her head tilt just slightly towards Clem to chat while they were all digging around in the sand. "These guys are basically sand castle experts at this point," she chuckled, nose wrinkling with affection that was turned towards her nieces. "Next time you'll just have to bring the whole family with you, make it a fun trip. Hopefully that won't be for awhile, though. These goofballs kind of like having you around."

We can people watch at the same time we’re talking and eating our ice cream.”

A slight blush crept along Remi's throat, pretty sure that she had never once in her life just walked into somewhere and felt the confidence to just talk to someone. The idea of just going out and meeting someone was great in theory, but in practice she had the sinking feeling that it wasn't likely to happen for her. "Maybe, yeah. It uh - I don't really talk to like...a lot of strangers, I guess. Flirting is like...so not my strong suit," she admitted with a sheepish laugh, shoulders lifting up. Her eyes brightened a bit when Ryder talked about his found family at the fire station. Even if he didn't have siblings of his own, there was a bond there that could be just as strong. "That totally counts, I think. Maybe not blood siblings, but found family is just as important," she mused. Even with as many siblings as she had, she still was always open to taking people into her life in that role any time she met someone worthwhile. Nodding eagerly when Ryder pointed out the spot by the window, she followed him over there and took a seat, nestling into the chair as she set her ice cream on the table in front of her. "This is perfect. I love people watching. There's always something to see. What's the craziest thing you've seen happen while people watching?"

Enid shrugged. "Well, I'm not gonna say I've taken all of Kismet out," she joked with a small chuckle. "By dates I mean like, two. Maybe three." Honestly she was far too busy with her job to be going out on dates every other weekend, but it wasn't as though she had never dated. For Remi these were the only dates she'd been on since being back in town, having been too caught up in all the other things going on in her life to even consider it. "Exactly! I do a lot of Legos, it's like...a big time hobby of mine. Do you ever build them?" She was the type that could get lost for hours tinkering away building things with them. "Raven's your middle name? Family name or just a cool name they picked for you? Tarantula also a solid answer. I had a spider once as a kid, but it didn't last long before my parents found out and it magically disappeared."

She swore none of them knew how to slow down. She stayed close to Remi and smiled before putting her arm around her youngest sister. "I'm glad you guys like him. I think you all had enough harassing him when I was with him in high school." She laughed a bit, but Remi was too young to really remember that when she dated Abraham. Smiling at Remi, she nodded. "They are not." Corinne's voice said this with a playful and mocking tone as she put one of her hands on her hips. This was a lie; they were a lot like her. Although in their own separate ways. It was true too that they were always busy. Someone had something going on. But being constantly on the move made it easier when Clementine was gone. If she had slowed down, it would have given her time to be sad, to be upset. Something she constantly had to hide and not show. "Okay, Rosie and Hallie are like me. But Tilly is just like Riley, a little feral." She laughed softly. She loved all of her siblings. They all knew that she would do anything for them, too. "If I recall, I was very, very nice to him when I was a kid. I only made him have a tea party with Remi and me once." She remembered that day. Abraham agrees and was even wearing a tiara of sorts. "They're so like you, don't even lie," Remi laughed, agreeing whole-heartedly with Georgia that Corinne's kids had turned out very much like their sister was. It was something she loved to see, the little pieces of her siblings that were picked up on in the next generation of the family. Snorting a bit, Remi fixed Georgia with a look before laughing further. "Dude, I was like four, I don't remember harassing him at all. Totally was the boys that did all the harassing at that point." Her head nodded dutifully along with Corinne's assessment of the situation, her sister having much more of a memory of it all than she did herself. "I will most definitely me taking it upon myself to harass him now that I'm old enough to know better, though. Someone has to badger him to propose. And I will happily take that upon myself. But, for now, let's go see some cool science stuff." They had drinks in hand, snacks at the ready, and the whole day ahead of themselves to enjoy everything the museum had to offer.

Enid smiled patiently, allowing the other space to get out what she was saying. She understood being nervous about things. Fortunately she had a lot of experience speaking to strangers, so this speed dating thing wasn't exactly new territory, even if it was a little different. "Well alright then. Remi it is." Shaking her head, Enid laughed. "Never, actually. I've been on dates, of course, but this is a bit different from what I'm used to." A sheepish smile lifted at her lips, head dipping down gently as she let out a small laugh. "Honestly, I've barely even done that, so it's uh, you know. Totally out of my comfort zone," she admitted. She'd been on a handful of dates in her lifetime, but could probably count them on one hand if she really thought about it. "Ooh, okay, fun question. An object. Probably...I think I'd be a Lego set. Like, a partially built one, still not quite all together yet in life. The Mars Rover Perseverance one, if you like want a specific set," she answered, drilling down to a perhaps too specific answer. Remi was pretty hopeful that the wound would heal easily enough with a few days of being bandaged up, though the warning about keeping it clean sparked a whole other spiral of concerns briefly. "Right - ah. Yeah, even I guess the small cuts can get like bad infections if they're not taken care of right. I think like. It should be fine, though," she nodded along, saying it almost more for herself to drive home the reassurance that there was nothing to worry about. "It's the worst, basically, but uh. You know. I'm working on it. Like, not overthinking, I mean. I'm working on that."

"Thanks." Gia nodded her thanks, smile widening as she looked back at the other. "We are a lot more well known on social media than we are anywhere else - well, aside from our home town - so I'm always happy when people say they know us from there." she shrugged. "Which shockingly doesn't happen a lot." in truth, Scarlet Sirens wasn't as big as Gia hoped yet. She was hopeful that they'd get there but for the time being they were just starting out. As much as she enjoyed talking about the band, though, the topic of the sea creatures really seemed to make her feel even better. Eyes focused on the ocean, she watched for what felt like hours before the conversation started back again. "That's probably the cutest thing I've heard all day." she smiled, eyes focusing on the other. "I kind of hope I see one up close." she admitted. "Mostly because of bragging rights. I want to be able to tell people I saw one." she laughed. Though, as the other stated she didn't study them, just learned everything from being a local and living on boats. "I've only been here about six months, so not long enough to really be able to enjoy the sea life, but not short enough I feel like I don't know anything about this place." she admitted. "Yeah, I guess like I do end up on the weird side of Tiktok a lot. Not that the band is weird. I just get like lost on there sometimes going down rabbit holes," she admitted with a slight laugh. Some days it was all sciencey things that she found herself getting caught up with, other times it was hot female bands that people made thirst trap videos of. "How long have you guys been doing music?" She wasn't familiar enough to know the whole story of the band or anything. In fact, she wasn't sure she even knew any of the band member's names, but certainly knew their faces. Moving over closer to the edge of the walkway by the water, Remi looked over again to see if she could spot any signs of the porpoises. "There's a spot not too far from here that they hang out sometimes if you want to go check? It's this little inlet that they visit and you can usually see a few popping in and out," she offered. She wasn't up to anything else and figured she could at least be useful enough that afternoon to give Gia some bragging rights on seeing a cute sea creature. "Six months is basically still brand new. "I'm glad it's Remi-approved then." Ruby chuckled as she plopped down into a chair, watching Remi finish setting up her new telescope. "I bet. I know it's getting harder to find peaceful places back home to just see the stars. Like, even out on the beach when we have the lights down, there is still too much light pollution." This was one reason Ruby loved renting a cabin out in the mountains with Riley. That and they had some privacy away from everything. Having no signal and no way to communicate with anyone outside their own bubble. "Yeah, nothing super important you have to tell me, huh?" Ruby teased Remi because she knew Remi could always tell her anything or talk to her about anything. "He's good, working too much per usual. He always makes sure that I have dinner in the fridge because god forbid I have to have a 'Girl Dinner'." A soft chuckle came from Ruby as she swirled her glass of wine before taking a sip. "We have been planning our honeymoon for this summer. Well, I have been planning it because we both know I'm the better planner." @remingtonelliot

"Yeah, it's too bad. Like, I won't complain that there's lights, that's pretty nice, but I dunno. Sometimes I do miss being out where there's none of that," she admitted with a gentle shrug. The sheer desolation she'd seen sometimes when out working on the charter ships had been something impossible to replicate back on shore and there were plenty of times she missed that part of her life. Her face scrunched together for a moment as she thought about it, nothing notable coming to mind from her life in recent months. Since losing her mom, everything had felt like it was just stuck. "Nah, nah it's all you know. Same old stuff," she answered after a beat. "Wait, what is a girl dinner? That sounds vaguely like something I'd have to smack him for saying. Honeymoon should be fun, though. How long are you guys going for?"
