She — who felt the world collapse. She — who died alongside it. She — who cannot remember the names of her ( only ) two friends, at times, but who remembers perfectly, acutely, the sensation of splitting ribs and slowing heart. Her broken memories writhe around the look of him, because he is familiar ( a boy with blonde hair and warm eyes and that face ) but wrong. She doesn’t like it. She cannot recall much already; to have something which straddles so carefully the line between familiar and sick is disquieting.
FAMILIARITY IS A DANGEROUS CONCEPT , nevertheless with someone like him ! a life torn and ripped . never meant to be given form . UNRECOGNIZABLE . constructed from anguish . how terrible to hold a hope as that — he would NEVER RETURN a sentiment as such . would regard it with nothing more than minor irritation , soon to blossom and form into words . a warning quick . volatile . as tone is sharp and words keep promise to cut .
