Some weekends remind me why I do this. Watching the Spring Gallery at Remnant Framing take shape—seeing bold, sweeping gestures from Vit Pavlik, the raw energy of Taylor Mclendon, and the intricate depth of Elizabet Castro—I kept coming back to one thought: the frame is just the beginning.
I’ve been thinking a lot about pre-framed canvases lately. They offer a starting point, a foundation. But what happens within that frame is up to the artist. Some will fill every inch with color, others will let the space breathe. Some will work with the frame, some will challenge it. Either way, the boundaries don’t limit creativity—they activate it.
Same goes for life. We’re all working within some kind of frame—whether it’s time, resources, or circumstances. But the real magic happens when we decide what to create within it.
