Touch starved

It happens to everyone and everybody has different ways of trying to curb their need for touch, unconsciously or not. Here is how our boys and girls deal.

The Generals trio

Angeal: Wrestling or any close combat fighting. He gets touched and the closeness of others and most of the time he’s teaching the younger soldier so he gets the intimacy of tender teaching moments. Playing with dogs also helps.

Genisis: The theater, book clubs. He loves plays and books and talking about or group watchings and readings of these things. Its how he gets that excitement and joy of something beloved out.

Sephiroth: warm blankets and mugs and bowls, a cat. When he wants to be touched, which he often doesn’t realize it like the rest, he tosses his favorite blanket in the dryer, get a warm drink or food, a heated pillow to cuddle around while he loves on a cat and reads. Baking is nice too, it makes everything smell nice and makes the room warm.

The silver trio

Kadaj: bike rides with his brothers, being out in the heat of the day or sunk into a cool mud puddle or stream. Basically being enveloped by nature in some way.

Yazoo: books, blankets, and a shooting range on a fence post. His leather jackets. Tight body-hugging clothes and the intimacy of concentration is what makes him feel better.

Loz: bikes rides, food and fights. Someone to spar with is always the way he deals with his touch starvedness. Cooking and sharing with his brothers makes him happy.

Soldier boys

Cloud: hot food and drink, blankets. Soft quiet places that are cool so he can cuddle and be warm by himself. He likes to be able to hear himself think. Other times he wants to be in the cafe just enjoying food made by his loved ones.

Zack: Fist fights and roughhousing and hugs. If he needs love he will seek it out.

The ancient

Aerith: she spends time with her flowers and the children. She sells her flowers and smiles at people. Talks to the will of the world.
