Steve has a revelation. Revelations, plural, actually. It makes him a little sad:
1. He has no other friends besides the kids and Robin (and maybe Eddie).
2. He has no plans that don't revolve around the people he loves.
3. He wants to be loved in return.
4. For some pathetically drastic reason, he wants Eddie to be the one to love him back.
or, Steve and Jonathan are newfound friends and go to an anachronistic, extravagant copy of Renfaire (and Bicolline). They bring their friends and work out tangles in their personal relationships that Vecna hasn't already destroyed. Oh, and Steve wants to impress Eddie.

What is this?
For a few glorious months, let’s pretend that Corroded Coffin existed, and that 2026 is their 40th anniversary of being totally metal. (Yes, it has been 40 years since 1986!!! Feels like we just met the CC Boys Yesterday)
This is a zine to celebrate everything Corroded Coffin – that means all of the members, the music, the fans, even the embarrassing stage moments or interview bloopers.
The goal of this project is to use our creativity in an accessible and interactive (and most importantly free) way. In the end, our "zine" will have several formats. A living Tumblr Blog (yes, Tumblr will finally become this generation’s PDF) akin to so many rockband fansites that came before, as well as some printable PDF options for you to download. We'll also hold a charity raffle (via honor system) to pick one lucky winner who gets the zine in a fancy printed paper format.
Anything that celebrates 40 years of Corroded Coffin

Fan mail -- maybe heartthrob Gareth wrote back to a fan
Corroded Coffin song lyrics with artist commentary
Actual original songs (please, we would do anything) -- The actual recording would be uploaded to the Tumblr blog version of the zine. The PDF version will have the song lyrics with a link to wherever we uploaded the song
Homebrew monsters -- They still play DnD, even 40 years later

Go wild! We only ask that your pitches should be something you can fit within 2-4 pages. That means:
Written works can have at most 2k words
Visual works must fit across at most two pages
Works created using Generative AI such as Sora, Claude, ChatGPT, etc. will not be accepted.

I think a really tragic aspect of those fics where Steve gets taken by the Russians like Hopper that doesn’t get talked about is that Robin doesn’t join the party without Steve.
We’ve seen how Dustin grieves.
It builds and it explodes, and Steve didn’t have an enemy to direct it at like Eddie did. Steve left nothing behind that hits back and Dustin is just. Numb.
The town mourns a guy they never really knew, and Dustin is left with. Variables. A bunch of Could’ve-Been scenarios where things were different and Steve wasn’t…
All Dustin knows for sure is that he wasn’t there to save his best friend and Robin was. And she didn’t.
Dustin cant vouch for her and the others don’t really know her.
Robin went through this big traumatizing thing and the only other person that would understand is gone.
The bard, craving knowledge, makes his way to the Mage’s Guild of Enclave, where he spends his days in their vast libraries. Though deeply devoted to his studies, he still makes time for the occasional adventure.
There’s actually this rad place over in Forest Hills. I can’t quite afford it yet, but I’m close. And that is on a coach’s salary. Don’t forget sex ed teacher.

2.01: MADMAX | 5.08: The Rightside Up
I mentioned posting these designs here at some point but I wanted to wait until ZA was out so here they are! These are from last year, there's a Patreon collection for all of my pokemon AU posts.
I've talked more about this on patreon but in summary:
Steve used to be a gym leader, pressured to be one by his parents. He got tired of it and now works at a pokemon salon.
Eddie, still bitter from the battle he lost against Steve when they were kids, has been training hard so that he could finally beat him, only to find out that Steve no longer battles.
I based all of the designs on the characters' existing outfits. Robin on her s4 outfit, and Dustin and Erica are based on their season 3 looks. Dustin is the typical pokemon nerd, his pokemon being an electric type that can help him power up his inventions. I think Erica could be the president of a kids' Pokemon Fan Club, and I made her design with that in mind since the Fan Clubs in the games are all about cute pokemon.
Chrissy's pokemon was pretty easy to decide haha. For Nancy I chose Sylveon because the colors matched her dress from s4, and Sylveon is a cute but strong pokemon. In this AU she's a journalist as well.
