Don't ask me anything about the Sparks of Tomorrow anime, I'm only here for the PLOT (⁠●⁠_⁠_⁠●⁠)

I never planned on keeping up with any summer season anime but somehow, in the ocean of world cup yaoi flooding my timeline, Yousuke's fucking ass, with those damn pantylines has been jiggled in my face more times than I've called my parents this week.

I wish I was joking.

Can't pretend I know anything about Kyoani and the type of shows they pick up (I'm not deep into the connecting studios and everything they've ever made side of the anime community) but so much of what I heard before actually watching this today is that it's another one of their yaoibait shows...

Which it has the potential to be, can't lie, it's also pretty good in its own right. It's funny, (that or my day was just so bad I'd laugh at anything), the characters are brimming with life and energy and omg I love the industrial Japan steampunk aesthetic so much. Like Kabenari of the Iron Fortress but significantly less trains, which isn't a bad thing, just an observation.

Other than Yousuke's very well drawn...everything, the mystery of the catalog is the second most intriguing aspect for me lol. Like yes Kihachi, your nii-chan probably died in a war he didn't start but your favourite book is gone and it's his fault. *gasps* The power-hungry oligarchs that cause these conflicts have nothing to do with this.

I can't wait for this to be addressed.

This might well be the only show I keep up with this season so I hope it doesn't disappoint as things progress.

Closing statements: I will be staying to see more of Yousuke's ass and hopefully maybe some fanart. If there aren't any fics when I go check ao3 I will kms. He's a freak but I'm a freak too so he can do whatever he wants to me as long as he's sitting on my face by the end of it. Being so for real, give this show a try if there's nothing else you've got your eye on :3

I had the intrusive thought of reinstalling nu carnival sometime today which is like probs the opposite of what's good for my mental health but I might go through with it either way. What's funny is logging back into my erolabs acct after more than two years to see how much has changed and how much the me of then just had zero shame in filling out stuff for my profile 😭

Like it's true but why'd I say all that??! Lmaoo?!?! Looking at the fucking state of my current fave ships makes it even worse *stares out the window in basic bitch*

Clearly I'm still lacking in shame to post this on here so like scold me in the comments maybe ig, I may or may not enjoy that. This post is definitely not going anywhere either way.

I'm kind of nervous to get into the game again lol, maybe now I'm older I'll be more careful about keeping my cortisol in check.
