Morpheus is an interesting character to me in how she's a complete and total brat; a prick through and through, but the contest that she's bragging about winning is... creating the perfect dream for people. The skill she immaturely exclaims bravado over is understanding people enough to weave a world in which they prefer to reality.

Her main contrast in Iris and how their perspectives differ is if or when you're supposed to wake up from a dream. Maybe her trapping people in dreams is a desperation for approval, but her personality is so rancid that surely that it seems not the case.

I don't know what it means if she were to be right; that people want to live in perfect dreams forever. That her half-existence stuck in the dream castle is just as valid as real life, since its working for other people now too?

I don't know if it's that, but I don't think its as little as 'a child throwing a tantrum' even though she folds in seconds once Iris arrives.
