I need something stronger than hope, I need cocaine
Liberty media talking about breaking into the American market and then immediately locking the broadcasting rights into an app that isolates more than half the American fan base is crazy
I like my men wet soggy and seeing ghost. I love my women hot straight and haunting me.
If you’re curious what Lando eats, his “chef” posted this! (x)
Because I'm forever fighting to get out of my "eat the same three things for dinner" rut despite the fact that I'm actually a very good cook, I went and tracked down some recipes that closely resemble what is shown. And I figure some of of y'all might appreciate and/or benefit from it, too.
As a disclaimer, I just went and found these, I have not made any of them, and I cannot vouch for how they'll turn out if you prepare them exactly as written. Aside from baked goods (which are a more precise art), I tend to view recipes as a suggestion and a place to start from, so I very rarely ever make a recipe precisely as it's written. So even after I do make some of these, I'll still not be able to tell you how the recipe is as it appears on the page.
No one talks about how embarrassing it is for your body to wake up one day and decide it’s allergic to something like what the fuck dude

It's not about the fact oscar could've won if McLaren didn't tell him what to do, it's about how blantly lied and sabotaged him. They make it look like it was because of the backmarkers, but he had long passed ocon when he was told he was free to race again after 4 damn laps, when he was already out of DRS range, when it was clear Lando was ahead. You can't bring the 'oh race radios are shown later' because it was clear oscar was holding back for all those 4 laps. They had an agenda today and I'm sure they'll find other ways all throughout the year to subtly back Lando.
okay sure but oscar losing had nothing to do with that because they didnt lie to him (he and lando were told the exact same thing at the same time btw so ig theyre both being lied to?? but what abt the agenda!) or sabotage him, he went into the gravel and lost time on lando and then went into the gravel again and spun out while lando was able to keep going. thats just how racing works.
it is very sad he had such a poor finish to his home race, but not everything is a conspiracy or agenda. sometimes ur driver just messes up and theres nobody to blame.
Can a girl fucking live bro I know my Spotify hates to see me coming
Thanksgiving isn’t giving me a lot to be thankful for this year
The ability to evacuate is a privilege and I’m sick of people applying Florida logic to the Appalachians right now. Yes it is horrible for those who couldn’t in Florida but the people in the Appalachian’s had no warning. People still have “dial up” there, 55.9% of the population is under the poverty line. “I’ve been seeing warnings for a week” no you haven’t the warnings were for Florida and Georgia, even then it wasn’t supposed to hit the apps like this at most flooding but they would recover. When hurricane helene took that turn it was too late to even warn others before dams broke. The infrastructure is not meant to take this beating especially given the storm they had the week before causing all of the waterways to be full already. Towns are wiped out, towns that relied on tourism and coal mining to bring in revenue are gone. My great aunt and uncle lived in a trailer off a plot of land and were so happy they finally got a clean running water system hooked up two years ago. They have one tiny little old android that they have to travel about an hour in town to use so they can call us up. They lived off a fixed income because any sort of job was two hours away at least and they’re getting older they can’t just travel that much anymore. My great uncle can’t walk without his cane and my great aunt is getting there too. They always joked about taking me home with them and I would always say when I got older they would come live with me because I knew how rough it was for them but they couldn’t just leave. I haven’t been able to contact them in over 48 hours and the highways leading out after the one hour evacuation notice was given was shut down. Most places are air rescues only because there is no other way for them to be rescued. To add on as well that they deployed FEMA in many of the places affected but yet there is barely any coverage and radio silence from our government. No national guards are here to rescue them they are left to fend for themselves. People are drowning, being electrocuted, some didn’t even stand a chance. These are human beings who have been prayed on for generations the least you can do is show some fucking sympathy. I don’t care what you have to say family’s are being devastated. I wouldn’t wish anything like this to happen to anyone so if you find yourself in your bed at night I hope you know that out there, there are families who are grieving all they have lost and you are cozy at home with running water, electricity and a warm bed and you feel an ounce of guilt for even thinking that.

10/1 update:
At the end of my 10 hour shift I finally heard back some news, my great aunt and uncle have passed in the flooding. I think I’ve been grieving them all weekend but didn’t wanna lose hope. I thought I could go back to work and finish to get home but it was like a bucket of ice had been dropped on me. I don’t think I knew how privileged I was to be able to grieve so wholly in the past. The second thing my manager told me after apologizing was I would need an obituary for the day I need off for the funeral. I haven’t even fully processed anything and I’m already being told I need an excuse in advanced. I’ve lost my whole family in one fell swoop. Our family cemetery has been buried in mud and there’s no telling if we’ll ever be able to visit again. My granny grace had two plots put in for her children and now she will never be reunited with them because of this. I’m the only surviving member of our family now and our history went with them. Family records and stories I wish I paid more attention to now. Their town that is now leveled and probably will never rebuild like it once was. I have this frog in my throat because I won’t be able to provide the send off they deserve and even tho I’m not a religious person I believe loved ones should have a safe and comfortable send off to wherever they go. I just hope that in their last moments it was quick and as painless as possible because they didn’t deserve this, no one does. The only silver lining i have is that they were found together even til the end they were together. I hope that for those who have passed they went quick and painless, I hope families will have something to bury or cremate because they deserve to come home and rest peacefully. I will try to compile more links for those who wish to do more and links to help find lost family members. Anything helps, donate, speak up, educate yourself on the issues going on but please listen to us when we speak up do not talk over us, amplify our voices. Do not pity us, sympathize with us. We are all humans at the end of the day.
The hurricane has wiped entire towns off the map. Places I’ve lived in have no roads in or out— the entire city of Asheville is only accessible by air. Even the interstates flooded. I’m waiting to hear back from so so many friends who live in this part of the state but most of the cell towers are down.
The thing that really turns my stomach is that there’s so so little news coverage of it. I’ve seen more articles about empty condos and beach houses in Florida than I’ve seen about ENTIRE TOWNS BEING WIPED OFF THE MAP in western North Carolina.
The way Appalachia is overlooked time and time again has probably led to some of the loss of life in the region because the news just… didn’t really talk about the danger of flooding that far inland.
