About /
My name is Renato Tata, kid of 80’s. I’m an award winning Integrated Creative with 12 years experience. Currently; Head Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather. My career started in 2003 in Greece when I became part of McCann Athens as a conceptual copywriter. This first lucky strike in my career was followed by many other significant opportunities for me to work in the advertising field for some awesome agencies such us
TBWA\Athens, Cream, DDB Athens. In May 2011 I moved to Albania to join JWT Spot Tirana as a Creative Director. In October 2012 I went back in Greece to explore Digital Advertising while working at OgilvyOne. A few months later, I was promoted to Head of the Creative Department at Ogilvy & Mather Albania.
During these years I seen my work being recognized at European Design Awards, Ermis Awards [ Greek Advertising Awards ], Cannes Young Lions Competition Greece, Rainbow Marble International Advertising Awards, Greek Graphic Design & Illustration Awards, Poster for Tomorrow International Competition, Ten Images for Ithaca International Poster Competition. My portfolio includes clients from the fields of Telecommunications, Automotive, Financial Services, Retail – Electronics & Technology, Health & Beauty, Alcoholic & Non-alcoholic Drinks. One of my greatest moments was in 2009 when I won the Gold Cyber Award at Cannes Young Lions Greece and represented the country in Cannes International Advertising Festival – Cannes Young Lions. -- Ιn 2006, I started playing around with Graphic Design. One year later I won my first Design Award at Greek Design Awards / 1st Prize / Young Creatives. In 2015, I was the President of the Jury at Greek Design Awards. Not bad. I think, that was a sign for changing to a Hybrid Creative Punk. -- Outside work I've initiated, found and curated "Design Overview In Tirana". The first-ever event in Albania dedicated to Advertising, Design & New Media with a clear vision: to create a strong creative community and to educate / inspire / motivate / feed the creativity, to change the Advertising & Design Industry in the country and to enhance its development. After four years of great contributions, I see the Albanian creative community growing and I feel very proud driving the change. "Design Overview” has now a great impact on the local market and a great recognition at European level; European Design Festival, Greek Design Awards, European Lab Forum, DesignLobby. Teaching was not in my plans, but it happened to teach Creative Process at European University of Tirana.
