STROKE: Remember The 1st Three Letters… S.T..R … My friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I agree. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks. STROKE IDENTIFICATION: During a party, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. (they offered to call ambulance) They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid’s husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm , Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the party . Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don’t die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this… STROKE IDENTIFICATION: A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough. RECOGNIZING A STROKE Remember the ‘3’ steps, STR . Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. I remember a while ago here in UK there were stroke-identifying adverts. Their catchphrase was FAST:

F- Face: is their face fallen on one side?

A- Arms: can they raise both their arms up and hold them there?

S- Speech: is their speech slurred? Can they speak a full sentence?

T- Time: if all the signs show a stroke, call 999.

We managed to save my nana with this information when she had her first stroke.

A ctivities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?

Kevin enjoys a variety of activities such as exy, training for exy, drinking, working out, exy. Please for the love of everything holy, introduce him to some new hobbies. It would be unfair of me to not put a few special notes to his interest in reading and photography hinted at briefly in the series.

He would enjoy playing exy with you but if you cannot then I'm sure you both can find other things to do together. Things he would enjoy doing with you if you introduced him: cards, history (travelling, watching documentaries, etc), hiking, and video games.

B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

Physically Kevin loves your eyes and hands. He can't get enough of your fingers running through his hair or playing with his fingers. He loves your eyes because he can find comfort in them, unlike plenty of the looks he got in his childhood, yours are soft and caring.

C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

Kevin, much like Neil, is still trying to learn about the whole healthy coping concept. He will try to help you by listening or offering physical comfort if you are comfortable with it. He won't speak much during this time as he doesn't know what to say.

When he has a panic attack, these happen frequently due to PTSD, it's best to stay near him and try to ease him through it. To be blunt, Kevin is an alcoholic and thus will go to the bottle as soon as he feels nervous. Try to keep him away from the booze however it's best not to stress him out even more.

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

Married with kids. He desperately wants something "normal" and getting married and having kids is pretty "normal." It's not like he doesn't love you, no he really does, it's just that he sees no other point in marriage other than fitting into society. On the other hand, having children is a genuine desire of his.

E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

It's pretty balanced, on the outside it looks like Kevin is the dominant personality in the relationship. Look closer and this guy is absolutely whipped for you, practically at your beck and call.

F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

Fighting is something that happens often without intention. Kevin is very argumentative and it's just because he's very critical of everything everyone does. If you play exy, well... let's just say that's the biggest argument starter. But yes, Kevin will easily forgive you.

G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

Won't outright show it but Kevin is very grateful for you. The arguments over his drunken stupors, looking out for his health, comforting him during episodes, supporting his dreams... He feels like the luckiest man to exist. Poor thing doesn't know that this is the bare minimum.

H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

If he believes it will harm you, he will protect that secret with ferociousness. The last thing he wants is for the Moriyama's to get their hands on you. If there is anything else supposedly hidden it's probably because he forgot to tell you.

I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helping them overcome personal problems?

Where to start, of course, you have helped him with so much and he has supported you as well. You have introduced him to so much and helped him through so many personal troubles he's had.

Kevin has also supported you through your personal stuff, he is an incredible listener and will help distract you when you need it.

J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

Yes, and he is super passive-aggressive about it. He will actively ignore both you and the person who he is jealous of. If you confront him about this he will deny all claims and get super embarrassed.

K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

Muah! He doesn't have a lot of experience thanks to growing up in "the nest." His brief thing with Thea gave him some insight but this man is pretty much going in blind.

Your first kiss was probably after one of his games that he was super proud of.

You had made this a weekly thing after finding out about how Kevin used to tell everyone about history in the tower but no one listened. This of course frustrated you and made you take things into your own hands.

Kevin was too prideful to admit how grateful he was that you're doing this. Trust me, he appreciates it more than you know.

note: please note that this is my interpretation of the characters! we all have our own headcanons so I ask that you please respect mine. I tried to stay as close to the original characters as possible. <3

A ctivities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?

Both of them would love to take their s/o up to the rooftop to smoke. Whether they partake or not is entirely up to them but the quality time means a lot to Andrew and Neil.

B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

Physically Andrew loves his s/o's hands, they may be soft or rough, he'll love them regardless. His s/o never touches him without permission, their hands when they do touch him are always gentle and kind.

Neil on the other hand loves his partner's lips and thighs. Hear me out, tiring Exy practice or match? Boom, thigh pillow! He wants affection? Boom! Forehead smooch.

On a side note; Neil also loves Andrew's thighs, very muscly.

C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

Andrew will keep a respectable distance, grab them a blanket and drop one of their two cats onto their lap. If it's a good touch day he may hold their hand or rest his head on their shoulder.

Neil malfunctions for a solid minute before going to Andrew for advice on how to help or calling Renee. If neither comes through then he will hold his partner and wait for Andrew or Renee to come help. Despite how often he has panic attacks he is still learning how to properly cope with them.

On bad days and nights for Andrew, both Neil and their s/o knows to keep a bit of space between them. Both are practically at his beck and call. On bad days Andrew will usually curl up with some ice cream and watch his two idiots try to be human. He's dealt with many of these and seeing the two of them try to help is mildly amusing.

On Neil's bad days Andrew will offer practical support while their s/o will often provide physical comfort; if Niel wants it.

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

Now that Neil can actually imagine a future where he isn't dead, he has quite a bit of fun playing with the idea. He doesn't feel the need to get married but he isn't opposed to it. His ideal future with Andrew and (y/n) is living somewhere near the city, playing for a pro-Exy team and having a few cats.

Andrew still has doubts, doubts on how he managed to get both Neil and (y/n) to stay by his side. He tries not to think about the future with them since it makes him think about when/if they'll leave him. When he does entertain the idea and isn't being pessimistic, he imagines a small house, a red-head Exy junkie, a (h/c) blob eating ice cream with him when they both can't sleep and visiting the foxes.

E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

Andrew is without a doubt the "dominant" one in the relationship. He likes to be in control, it makes him feel safe.

F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

Depends on what the fight was about. I can't see a very argumentative s/o with them in general. Both Neil and Andrew are stubborn. Neither will forgive easily.

G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

Neither will openly admit it but yes they are incredibly grateful for their s/o and each other. Neil is more open about it than Andrew but through actions, you'll be able to see how much you mean to them.

Make sure to show them how much they mean to you as well, it will help reassure them that you love them and aren't some silly pipe dream.

H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

Depends on when you meet them and then become romantically involved with them. Neither of them likes talking about their history, most likely you'll have to figure it out on your own or come up with some sort of deal. You'll never get a straight answer out of them.

I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

How you managed to join Andrew and Neil's relationship baffles everyone including yourself. If you were to change anything about them it would be their openness and willingness to be open to affection. Pinky holding with Andrew? Perhaps on a good day. Neil spontaneously tells you about his mother? He's most likely just had a bad day and needs to speak.

J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

Andrew is the more jealous of the two, he does not like people touching what's his. It's more protective than it is jealousy. He will deal with it by going for a drive or straight-up kicking the person flirting with you or Neil. He won't ever admit he's jealous though and will claim to just be pissed off.

Neil is still trying to comprehend his feelings, this includes jealousy. He doesn't like the feeling akin to soda bubbling up in his stomach. He just knows that he wants to get rid of the feeling. To deal with this is he will go for a run. If you're comfortable with it he will hold you from behind. When it comes to Andrew, Neil doesn't worry as much. However, the person flirting with Andrew will get a very nasty Abram-style glare.

K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

We all know how Neil and Andrew's first kiss went so let's discuss their first kiss with their s/o, you.

Your first kiss with Neil will most likely be one out of elation and excitement. After a game, he will probably run up to you and in a jumble of words ask to smooch you. As soon as you agree he quickly kisses your lips and hugs you tight. If one looked hard enough at Andrew they would see his eyes soften a bit.

Andrew's first kiss with you would be aggressive and possessive. A night at Eden's Twilight was never without action and this time around was no different. A guy was getting too handsy with you, Neil was sitting with Kevin and Andrew was where he could see everyone. After kicking in the flirt's knee he drags you over to one of the bathrooms, looks you dead in the eyes and says "yes or no" and you answer "yes." His kisses are hardly gentle but fuck do you feel the passion.

Extra:

Neil walks over to the bathroom planning to take a piss when he sees his two lovers with their tongues down each other's throats. He crosses his arms and stands there with a smirk.

The first to notice Neil is Andrew, he glares and pulls away from you.

"Staring." Andrew practically growls.

"Don't let me stop you, I was enjoying the show." Ever cheeky, Neil responds.

To say the least, whether you decided to go farther or not the night ended eventfully.

My hobbies mostly consists of reading, a bit of writing if I have the time, embroidery and worrying about pretty much everything.

I like quite places, usually with few people. I like cuddling with my friends, tho. I like books, be it phisical or digital copies. I prefer phisical, but at this point both my bookshelves and my wallet are being rather vocal about their dislike of my book shopping habits so I resolved to try and get more digital ones. I dislike most sweets. The color pink is my cryptonite. I am terrified of dogs and loud and cheerful people put me a bit on edge. I also don't like most vegetables and fruits. Insects are gross. Any insect. Someone kill them for me, please. But if no ones there I kill my own insects. But not cockroaches. Those require PHONE CALLS until someone comes kill them. I do put cups over them, tho. Wouldn't want to lose them in unknown parts of the house. Hikes.

I tend to be honest, but if I don't know the person well I mince my words a bit. Most people don't like me and I don't have many friends because my opinions can.. diverge with anyone elses, especially in social situations, and I don't hold them back once I consider someone a friend.

I tend to be a bit pessimistic and get sad when people talk about good relationships with parents and friends since I don't have the former at all and not enough of the latter.

Also, probably you don't need to know this but I haven't read the raven cyrcle yet so I think this will be anuaing if my match up ends up in that series. And maybe it could work as the incentive I need to actually start it. I've been putting it off in favor of stand alone books and fanfiction, recently. Shame on me, I know.
