Happy World Dracula Day! 🧛♂️

I love this scene so much omg
I also love this scene! I feel like Renfield's sassy side it's seldom covered in fan fics. Like yes, he's a worm under Dracula foot, but in my head he feels that the rest of humanity is even lower. Dracula chose *him.* So he acts smug around his victims/opponents.
Thoughts?
I agree! I also think that he enjoys it at least a little bit that he's the one in power for once, since Dracula makes him feel so small and powerless most of the time. He's kind of a paradox, he feels special but at the same time he feels like he's nothing, it's all in the position he's in at that moment whether he feels one way or the other.
I'm afraid that stupidity always brings out the worst in me.

Watched Renfield and he is such a tall pathetic sad sopping wet little kitten. He’s ultra-violent. He’s so polite. He eats bugs. He makes cookies and cries constantly. He’s the world’s most prolific serial killer. He has beautiful blue eyes and I want to KISS him on his littel forehead and wrap him in a knitted blanket 😭
i ended up making a whole ref sheet of him when i just wanted to draw silly doodles of him...
this little fella has been through a lot so im gonna draw wholesome stuff of him soon 🥀🌼🥀🌼

The Fandom is Growing
Since I watched the film for the first time I've been checking #renfield tag several times a day and dutifully reblogging/commenting on everything I found of interest. And at first it was just a few posts here and there. Mostly people saying stuff like "I watched Renfield and I loved it," screen shots with "he's my meow meow baby girl." A few gif sets, some head canon thoughts. But now the posts are multiplying to the point where I'm struggling to keep up. I can't look and comment on every post whilst still having time to create my own Renfield content! This is making me both anxious with FOMO and happy, as this film deserves a huge active fandom. It is what I crave.
That is all I came here to say. Good job, Renfield fans! Keep creating, keep spreading the love!
