so I'm seeing people memeing about technoblade's newest video so i'm going to give you all a few words on what its about because it doesnt deserve to be memed. it's serious.

Technoblade has passed away. His father reads a note from him and talks about him with photos.

his real name was alex. His sibling(s) called him dave once as a joke and it stuck. He wanted to do a 'face reveal' but waited too long and was having a hard time with writing it. His father told him 'Alex, you dont have to do anything else. you've done so much for so many people... if you want to now, you can rest'. he wrote one last video on his father's laptop. His father says he lived about 8 hours after writing his last video.

I'll miss him a lot. I loved technoblade. I hope whatever the hell is after all this is good to him.

I really, really want Wilbur’s big turning point in his (potential) redemption arc to be someone telling him “You’re scared.” Like this is a man who has been, fundamentally, scared since day one. Scared of betrayal, of failure, of losing power, of losing his home, of death. And he’s always hidden it behind masks and lies, only showing it when he’s caught off guard and already emotionally vulnerable or sees it in the person he’s talking to. And even then, he often projects it onto them. (“You and me, we’re neurotic, Ranboo,” and “You’re scared, Tommy. You’re scared they’ll think differently of you.”)

He can’t redeem himself until he proves he’s changed. He can’t properly change unless he admits he’s sometimes wrong. He can’t admit he’s wrong until he admits to having no clue what he’s doing. He can’t do that because, in his eyes, that’s being vulnerable. And he can’t be vulnerable because he’s scared to be unless he knows exactly how the other person will react. That’s why he is with Ranboo - he thinks he knows him.

Wilbur almost always controls the conversation with whoever he’s talking to. Steers it away from any topic he doesn’t like, putting on a mask of authority and confidence. And someone breaking through that confidence, wresting that control away from him and forcing him to confront himself, that’s when he would be at his most vulnerable. That’s when they can finally get through to him. That’s when he’ll finally understand that they care about him. They’ve bothered to look through all the lies and see him, and they’re still sticking around.

And Tommy would be the perfect character to do it. The one who’s been by Wilbur’s side all along. The one who got the original “You’re scared” directed at him. The only one to really try and understand Wilbur, why he acts the way he does, and who still refuses to give up on him. Their arcs are - and have always been - extremely intertwined. It only makes sense that Tommy is the one to bring Wilbur back, bring it full circle.

The “Let’s be the bad guys” speech was his Wilbur’s turning point away from good. Let someone mirroring a part of it be his return.

I'm curious. In your opinion, what's the difference between all of the Big Baddies of the DSMP narrative? And I mean Wilbur (Ghostbur and Revivedbur included), Techno, Quackity, Philza and Dream. (Btw you can throw in your two cents about others as well).

Their philosophies, actions, crimes and justifications, what sets them apart from each other? I've seen many people compare them all but for once I want to see the differences not the similarities.

I know many people have lots to say about the matter, here's a place to talk about it, y'all are a bunch of very brilliant and well worded analysts, so I can't wait to read your thoughts on the matter, even those who only have a couple of lines to type are welcome to share. So, Discuss.

cc!Ranboo’s climb to fame makes such a good fictional background to c!Ranboo because it sounds like a political drama in the universe of Minecraft

c!Ranboo being an aspiring tv host, not getting much of an audience, and in desperation, sending invites out to anyone of minor recognition in Hypixel. c!Ranboo getting no responses other than a letter back from an infamous winged immortal, encouraging him with his future endeavors in fame. Him reading newspapers about the freshly established New L'manberg, with a president thats just around his age and seeing an opportunity for him. c!Ranboo learning that New Lmanberg is surrounded by the greater dream smp, an isolationist country with extremely strict immigration laws, and deciding that the best way to apply for citizenship is to literally just run a political campaign from hypixel since there wasn’t technically any laws against it. Him giving his presidential campaign speech, getting a long-time dream smp citizen to join as a guest of honor, only for the son and the father of the FOUNDER of lmanberg to send their fans to hear your speech. c!Ranboo getting a huge influx of support for his political campaign and catching the attention of the technical ruler of the Greater Dream SMP/previous reality tv manhunt star c!Dream, who sends him a letter with only the words “send your ID”. I just want more fan content addressing c!Ranboos possible origins im just a sucker for political dramas hhhng

NO BUT THE WAY I HAD AN EXACT IDEA LIKE THIS!!!! but it was more—

well, i wanted to make an animation you see, and in it i wanted to include where ranboo came from, but i also wanted to keep it deliberately vague so if ranboo comes up with BackstoryTM in the future it would still work

but essentially my plan was to have the episode animation called “LIVE FROM HYPIXEL” so it’d be kind of a mystery what it was about, and then we’d open on young ranboo, who is the host of a small local radio show aptly named “Ranboo Live”. he’s mostly a comedy commentator on world news, so he’s reading a newspaper and sees things aren’t too hot in l’manberg, but an election is coming up soon!

and he finds it really, really funny to run when he doesn’t live there— and itd make such good content for his comedy show— so he does it! and asks niki nihachu herself for advice as part of the Bit. but then he gets a mysterious letter in the mail and next thing we know he’s “sneaking” into dream smp itself

my idea is kind of a cartoony/humorous thing because im not smart like op but dude!! SAME HAT!!!! lol
