20 weeks

(technically I'm 20 weeks tomorrow)

Baby is doing well, has 10 fingers, 10 toes, all parts look good. She was wiggly and decided headbutting the placenta was what she wanted to do, so there's a couple more image they're going to try to get in a month.

Nothing super exciting in terms of symptoms - I have dry eyes and rhinitis, and horrible sleep, but I really can't complain.

12 weeks

I'm getting to the end of the first trimester. So far my accomplishments are:

Haven't puked, not even once

Haven't woken up from any surprise naps\

Haven't yelled or cried at anyone

kept the laws mowed a reasonable amount

Starting mid-last week my energy's been picking up and the nausea's subsiding. I'm still getting digestive discomfort, but, it doesn't feel like carsickness.

I still think that this whole mess is body horror, tbh.

8 weeks (+2 days)

My symptoms aren't bad at all. I do feel definitely pregnant at this point (my abdomen feels weird, my internal organs don't feel like they're in the right place anymore, my uterus is definitely bigger, but I didn't think it'd be that noticeable (I'm still far from showing, just, I've never burped so much in my life).

I have the follow-up ultrasound at the RE tomorrow. I have two appointments with a regular OB office in next month (it looks like they've put me on the high risk OB for my first ultrasound with them, which, given my age, is fair).

I stopped the baby aspirin, hoping the hematoma resolves itself soon. I'm supposed to avoid all sex, but that was defined as "orgasms" and "anything in the vagina" - so, part of me assumes that I'm free to top as long as I'm not touched? (I don't get off without touch). Questions I kind of want to ask, but don't want to ask another human face-to-face.

I'm not sure I'll be up for the lesbian dance part I signed up to attend this coming weekend. My sleep has been shit.

Ultrasound

Apart from a SCH nothing remarkable. Little Phil is measuring right on track on the dot (7w3d). If he keeps this up, I'm going to have high expectations for him.

edit: I don't know the gender, I'm just using he/him because it/its feels weird.

So, I'm apparently 6 weeks pregnant. Nothing too notable symptom-wise. Still needing panty-liners, not sure if it's the progesterone suppository or increased discharge from pregnancy or both. I've only told a couple of close friends. I get twinges of queasiness occasionally, but no vomiting. I'm tired at the end of the day, and my sleep is crap, my resting heart rate when I'm asleep is in the 70s or higher. But nothing obvious that constantly reminds me I'm expecting.

I have my first OB u/s in 10 days. I'll know more then, from what I can tell, the risk of miscarriage, if everything looks good there, goes down to about 5%. Right now, only a couple of close friends know.

Follow up

So today, almost exactly 48 hours laster (probably 48.25 hours) I had my beta --

Double time of like 30 hours. VERY STRONG for what I can find from doctor Google. (I refuse to ask ChatGPT)

Because nerves are a thing, and I have a crap ton of tests, I had tested this morning and saw in early hpts my fmu was beginning to be a dye stealer (aka the "test" line was as dark or darker than the "control" line), so I wasn't very worried.

I have my first OB ultrasound on the 18th.

I'm really hoping there's only one in there.

First beta

Yesterday I had my first positive beta (at 11dp5dt). I'd been testing every couple days, watching the lines grow darker....

The doctor sounded happy about it, next is a repeat tomorrow (so about 48 hrs after the first one), then, assuming it's all good, an ultrasound in 3 weeks.

I had a couple episodes of spotting, mostly light-brown tinged discharge, but it looks like it's getting more persistent. I'm going to call the nurse-line when it opens I think, just so they know (idk if they'd want to test my progesterone b/c of it or anything). It's very far from a full period and is brown, not pink or red.

The pregnancy tests are getting darker. I have my official beta on Tuesday (due to local holiday tomorrow).

So far I overall feel good. My heart rate when sleeping has been higher than average for the last week. But I haven't had any weird dreams. I feel queasy sometimes (could just be nerves), and occasional minor cramps. I'm not sure how much of my discharge/spotting/discomfort is from irritation from the progesterone suppositories vs the pregnancy.

So far I've told two people (a therapist I saw for infertility issues several years ago, and a former roommate/friend who wanted to know (she gave me a ride home after a surgery to get my uterus ready for this so she was aware). I'm probably going to tell my best friend when he comes for a visit (later this week) assuming the beta values are promising (which I expect them to be).

New Cycle New Me?

So yeah, the tests didn't magically turn positive. So I started a new cycle. I think if this one fails, I'll need a month off to be a slut over pride.

I just had my follow up ultrasound (lining trilaminar and 10mm, a 18 mm follicle that's looking ripe and another one on the other ovary that looks like it may be ready to go too) , and am triggering tonight. I start vaginal progesterone on Monday, then transfer next Friday.

Transferred!

1 embryo was transferred (twins would be too high of a risk given the age of the donors and me carrying twins would make me higher risk given my age). Beta test is on the 25th (at 7 am). Wish me luck!

Update

I've been taking estrogen for a while now. 3x day. I started progesterone in oil shots 4 days ago. Transfer is going to be Wednesday unless something bad happens. (This was things moved up a day, due to a leading follicle getting to ovulatory size, so I started progesterone a day earlier than they originally wanted)

My ass hurts, and I am doing a countdown of how many more shots I have to go if everything works well (37 more).

I may start testing Easter.
