“Why am I on the back of your car? Well I was waiting for you of course.”
The music and laughter swelled around the summer house as the ball raged on around Christian who was leaning against one of the walls with a fine glass of champagne in one hand. His family always had those sorts of balls. One in winter and the other whenever the hell they wanted. His eyes danced around the hall as his mothers laughter echoed from the next room over, properly talking about some terrible while house story. Thankfully the ball wasn’t so ordinary this year. He’d managed to invite quite a few people he knew. Briar. Renly. Silas. Even a few older friends from his more wild days.
He wondered how many actually had suits.
Renly had been invited to this ball, he felt a bit odd being in this sort of setting again but he didn’t let that bother him. Taking a glass of champagne offered by one of the wait staff Renly moved about the summer house looking for familiar faces. It was then that he saw Christian leaning against the far wall. Moving through the crowed of people he gave a smile to Christian as he approached him. “What a party, haven’t been to one of these in quite some time. Nice place you got here.”

Text @ Renly
Silas: No you're not.
Silas: You wanna see it? :3
Renly: Yessss I ammmmm
Renly: Do I get to? I do.
Text @ Renly
Silas:...Maybe.
Silas: You are fucking crazy.
Renly:....I'm watching you.
Renly: Nah might as well have some of your drunken art on my body.
Text @ Renly
Silas: What--it's not like we didn't fight every day back then.
Silas: REALLY?
Renly: We still do that a lot....
Renly: Are you still plotting to shave my eyebrows?
Renly: Sure why not.
“Yeah? You going for song writing or just writing in general. Cuz, if that was just a hobby you could make a real career out of it.’ There he goes, making it awkward again. “Sorry, I tend to have chronic word vomit. Max.” He stated his name with a smile, walking toward the other for a shake. “Nursing major. Nice tattoos.”
“No just like writing in general. I’ve sold songs to bands and stuff before--it’s not really a career thing right now because the just come when they come.” he stated with a shrug. “You’re fine, I’ve become more of a listener over the past few semesters anyway. I’m Renly, nice to meet you Max.” Taking the males hand he shook it. “Thanks, I’ve got a lot.”

Silas: ...I was probably holding the razor.
Silas: It's not a dick. Or words.
Renly: .........*glares*
Renly: Well I suppose I can go with that.
Text @ Renly
Silas: It was Dexters idea. I just went along with it.
Silas: ....yes.
Renly: You weren't going to stick up for me? You were just going to let him shave them off?
Renly: Do you promise it's not a dick? And not words?
Text @ Renly
Silas: ...i did try to destroy your eyebrows once.
Silas: You have to get it engraved upon your body forever.
Renly:....You did what? You were plotting to destroy my eyebrows!!!! Nooooooo.
Renly: You want me to get a tattoo of something that I have no idea what it is?
Text @ Renly
Silas: Me do something horrible? Never. You know, Damian says im sweet.
Silas: It's a tattoo design. You have to get.
Renly: You're like a sourpatch kid.
Renly: Oh I have to come get it?
Text @ Renly
Silas: I made you something.
Silas: But I made it with loveeee
Silas: I may have also been drunk when I did it.
Renly: Well at least you made me something, I thought you broke something or did something horrible.
Renly: Well what is it?
Text @ Renly
Silas: Hi
Silas: Hiiiii
Silas: I did a thing.
Silas: And…you’re probably gonna kill me.
Silas: :3
Renly: Hey..
Renly: What did you do?
Renly: Now I'm worried.
The heavy feeling of pure awkward hung in the air and made Max feel so out of place as he reached down to pick up the sticks. “So uh, what were you singing? I’ve never heard it before.” He was trying to cut through the tension but felt as though he was just making it worse. “You sounded really good by the way.” He added as he stood, placing the cues back where they were.
It was apparent that the male was trying to redeem himself in a way, he wanted to make things less awkward and Renly just smirked. “I wrote it, that’s why you’ve never heard it. I’m a creative writing and English major. Writing songs is a hobby of mine.” he stated looking back at the long haired male. “Thanks, I don’t really like singing in front of others.”
Max was finding his way around campus when he stumbled upon the wreck room. He saw the boy’s back and paused to listen to him sing. It was a little enchanting, just his voice and the light beat he made. After a minute or so Max leaned up against the wall. He was surprised to find it wasn’t actually the wall but the pool sticks leaning against it. The heavy clatter echoed through the room as he tried to regain his footing. “Uh. Hey. I have a… thing against pool sticks.” He laughed through his nose, trying to hide how much of a clumsy idiot he was.
Renly jumped as he heard a loud clatter. Looking behind him he noticed all the pool sticks had fallen onto the ground and one male stood there awkwardly trying to regain his footing. Blinking he listened as he spoke of having a thing against the pool sticks. “Well okay then...” he stated not sure what else he could say to the male but he turned back around and picked up his phone a little startled still.
Jude had walked into the rec room, which he thought was empty. He had his headphones in so he wasn’t paying any attention to the outside world. He took a seat on the windowsill and took out his book. Taking out his headphones, he finally noticed another person in the room; the singing caught his attention. He didn’t know if he should say something, so he sat there listening, waiting for the man to finish. He smiled, clapping softly when the other finished, “you’re good.”
Renly stopped when he got a text and picked up his phone only to jump a little as he heard another males voice. Turning around he looked over a student he had never seen before--it seemed as though he had been heard. He bit his lip as a light flush came to his cheeks. “Uh thanks..” he stated softly. “Not normally one for singing in front of others.” He had been told time and time again he was good but he just never really put it to use. He wasn’t one for being the center of attention after all.
“Cool. That’s great for you.” He pulled his hoodie, regretting the choice to actually go out to get his food. It surprised him that he got out of bed in the first place. “I don’t need your help. I’m fine. I’ve made it this far. Just leave me a lone why don’t you.”
“I never said I was trying to help you, I just wanted to see if you were going to be okay and give you company. Normally it’s not the best idea to be alone when upset.” he stated watching the male just cocoon himself further. “Do you really want to be alone?”
