imagine steve dragging post s3 billy out of the house and taking him to a diner for their weekly hangouts as kinda friends but not really?? billy still doesn’t talk much, but this week he’s annoyed and doesn’t want to be anywhere but his bed. he stays silent when the waitress comes around for their orders, lets steve order him a strawberry milkshake. billy knows he’s being a bitch but,, he doesn’t care. he’s tired. when they get their orders billy starts sipping at his shake as steve rambles on about work and robin. suddenly steve gets silent and billy finds him staring at his mouth, clueless to the drop of whip cream and strawberry on his bottom lip. feels his cheeks go red when steve licks his lips, almost like he’s cleaning it off for billy. billy wishes he would get closer and try. steve clears his throat, coughs awkwardly. says, “you’ve got a little something. oh your lip.” and billy’s already died once and he’s not scared of dying again so he just. “wanna clean it off for me?” and then they’re making out in the backseat, steve licking his lips and chasing the taste of strawberry.
