Out of Cherries

As a writer I always feel so unstable and unsure of myself when it comes to my position with other writers. I sometimes feel that I do not live up to how good other writers of my same character are and wonder if it is even worth while to keep this account active. I love the character and I enjoy writing, but I feel that I do not connect well with other people and am replaceable in that regard. I get nervous because I do not feel worthy of being the character I am, and that people do not think of me or want to plot with me.

 Noriaki was dying.

He felt nothing, and that was the most scary thing for him as his finger refused to twitch even a little bit under his command. His spine had long since been severed all the way through by the fist of Dio Brando- and blood loss had his head dizzy and his vision blurry around the edges as he sat upon the water tower- his body embedded into the metal with no ability to move any longer after his final emerald splash.

This was okay.

Noriaki had lived more of a life in the last couple months than he had lived in his entire life- and he was happy. He couldn’t help but smile as blood leaked between his quivering lips- his last thoughts were not of his parents. Not at all- his mind was fading, and so were his memories- but for a moment he could relish in them.

“ Jotaro, “ Noriaki spoke softly, his eyes firmly shut as he felt bandages being peeled from his eyes- eyes which he had been instructed by the doctors not to open until they were sure everything properly healed. “ Jotaro- “ Noriaki stated the name again, hands reaching out to find himself touching the cotton of a jacket- though feeling a hand moving behind his head- urging him to lift as a clean bandage was wrapped around his eyes once more. “ It wasn’t your fault- and even if I do go blind- you know, it’s alright, Jotaro. I just wish I could- “ Noriaki tensed, feeling his body suddenly lifting as he was pulled into strong arms. Shifting, Noriaki’s head leaned against the shoulder of the teen whom looked much bigger than the red head.

It was silent, but everything was okay. And Noriaki knew it- and from that moment he decided- that no matter what- he would support his friends through any time- and he would make sure Jotaro was okay to the very end.

  A smile played on his features, a certain serenity in his tone as he spoke to the stranger. He had approached them with a clear goal in mind, one hidden behind false kindness ; to, perhaps, gain the money to survive on his own. If he could thread this the way he wanted it to, his anxieties regarding his financial issues would vanish. Even if fleeting— it was better than the desperation it caused.

Research.

Everything always came down to research when he came to vacation in places like Italy- but there was nothing stopping him from exploring the beautiful city of Naples. For the past few days he had been cooped up inside of Naples National Archaeological Museum- hunched over a table touching the reminance of an arrow that looked exactly like one he had recieved that had been retrieved from Morioh. It had been strange that there were multiple arrows- all over the world so far.

The voice caught him off guard, and his violet hues turned to look at the blond- and once hearing the request he smiled gently. " I apologize, but I- well, hold on- " Noriaki rarely smoked, but he did keep a pack of cigarettes for frustrating late nights- he just couldn't remember if he had packed the lighter. His fingers pushed into his shoulder bag, feeling around the bottom of it before removing the silver lighter- the initials N. K. embellished on it. A gift from a friend.

" Will this do? " Noriaki asked, offering the lighter over to the younger man. " Though you know smoking is not good for you- especially for someone so young. "

“Well the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, I’m sure many would say your lifestyle is better since you don’t have to know every last person in your area. But both worlds have their plus and minus we can enjoy together.” 

Casimir’s hand held Noriaki’s softly, eyes still locked as they headed out the bar and down the cobblestone street. Oh If these old stones could talk they would have stories. Of all the people, sights and things held upon them but right now a cute red head was walking on them, heading out with a handsome stranger with a secret. By the time they got to the museum, many of the tourist there were already leaving. Probably to head back to their hotel rooms or going out drinking, only a few locals inside were enjoying the quiet surroundings. Looking at the place Casimir almost had forgotten a few new areas built around it. Mostly small things like a gift shop, restaurants and a garden siting area but back in the day the place stand out a bit in an old town like this. 

A 16th-century manor house built a rich family now long gone from the history books. Honestly even now after the original building’s timber framed with red and white coat and stone flagged roof was rebuilt time and time again sometimes with different materials it still held up it’s noble look. 

“And here we are, the Folklore and History museum. This place still have that old touch even now.” He said as he guided the other in with him to pay booth. Taking out his wallet Casimir paid for the both of them and went in, the front hall alone still had so much history. Costumes and masks hang on the walls in glass cases, rugs hanged above, pottery, furniture, and tools set around like a full Transylvanian interior in one of the rooms to the side…It was like stepping into his grandparent’s home back then.

“As you can see many of the items here are from the 1910-1930′s. Parna vintage linen and hemp sew by many of the local seamstresses during the long winters as stock to sell for when the spring came in.” He said as they walked down the hall. “A lot of these costumes were used in festivals and folk dances and are still used today.”

" I could understand that, everyone wants what they do not have. And in this case, I feel like a face in a sea of faces- many of them ones that I will never see again. Something about it is sad about that, don't you think, Casimir? "

Noriaki was pleased- as his slender fingers curled around his new-found companion's hand. This stranger whom Noriaki felt no fear towards- no worry. Why should be be worried? He was from a small, humble town- and he was handsome nonetheless. What were the chances that he would do anything terrible? Other than possibly having a wife and child at home- flirting at the bar like in some ridiculous homoerotic drama.

" I can imagine that seeing your town succumbing to the new century must be a bizarre sight. Though it doesn't too bad- just tourists interested in these cobblestone streets and feeling as if their lives were simple for once. Not to say your life is simple- I am sure it is very full of things of interest. It is simply different than a city. " The two were walking together now, shamelessly hand in and as Noriaki gazed at the noble buildings in the dying light.

Noriaki felt nearly compelled to insist that he would pay for his own ticket- but held back as he money was already out on the table and passed through large, beautiful doors to reach the insides of the building. " This is just beautiful- I could have paid for myself, I have plenty with me. " The natural red head stated as he followed along, his dress shoes clicking against the floor as his eyes raked over the pieces of history.

" They still hold festivals here? Ah, I hope I am here in time to see one- it must be a joy. " Noriaki  smiled, pleased to hear that voice speaking to him of the history- it was as if Casimir had experienced it himself. Had he? This was his homeland and his village- but nevertheless Noriaki leaned his head on that strong shoulder. " It is nice, being here when no one else is- we're the only two souls in here at the moment, I believe- "
