hi!!! I’m Theo! (he/they) and I love congressional debate! this blog is all about posting (venting? never heard of her) about all things speech & debate!

Been doing Congress my entire debate career! i now do PF and Info (and am in no way qualified to give advice on anything but congress)

sometimes you look up "speech and debate yaoi" and there are no results and you need a moment of self reflection.

and then you skip that part and ask one of the guys on your team to reenact heated rivalry but for debate instead.

oh my god im so sorry i didn't see this, tumblr didn't notify me and i never get asks on my main. I thought I uploaded those and totally forgot to link them (transferring slides from my personal acc to a burner so i don't dox myself is a whole process) i'll get those up asap but if there's anything you really want just dm/req and i'll try to get it up faster

hey, long time no post :) anyway, i'm congress captain for my team now, so im working on making presentations going through/teaching a bunch of aspects of the event (late round speeches, research, etc) so i figured i'd link them here once I'm done (and feel free to send me reqs or ideas if y'all want or have any ideas on what i should do)

yes trust 🙏 i'm just a junior which means school is kind of a nightmare right now and i'm also my school's congress captain (and we are a big team with a big congress squad) so i'm just a bit overwhelmed and our competitive season hasn't started just yet (does in 2 weeks tho!!) so i don't have much to post about atm

i can post my congress teaching materials if anyone's interested in my google slides but otherwise i'll be back in a couple of weeks!!

so i’m currently working at a law firm and the other day one of the attorneys was talking to me and he mentioned that he’s “not very confrontational” and i was like you are?? a lawyer???

and he said “yeah but in court there are rules. i can argue with some shmuck in a suit in front of a judge no problem, but when i leave the courthouse and go home i’m not gonna argue with my wife about dinner. there are no rules in our kitchen. i would die.”
