UBER magic in Bangalore

It`s really free.

It`s difficult to believe but yes its fact that UBER is giving free cab service to the user.

Just you have to follow the below mentioned steps to book a free cab:

1) Download the app from the Google play store:

2) Open the app and click on register:

Enter your name, email id, mobile number and password.

3) Now you have to link your account with Paytm wallet.

Click on add a prepaid Wallet

If you are not able to see this option you have to re install the app (can be an issue with the app).

4) If you already have Paytm account with the same mobile number then it will link with that account otherwise it will create new.

5) Once you will setup the account you can enter promocode (use mine “amita293”, thank me later).

6) You will get 600 Rs in your credit balance which you can check in payment option.

7) Now if you want to book a cab, you need to have at least 200 Rs in your Paytm wallet because for UBER services you can’t pay the amount to driver directly. So, it will cut from your Paytm wallet if you will cross your credit balance limit.

8) Once you complete the registration you will get your own promocode  which can be checked by using share option. If someone else will use your promocode to setup the account then that person will get 600 Rs and if he/she will book the cab first time then you will get 600 Rs.

9) So enjoy the free cab service in Bangalore :)

Easily access / share media over wifi ?

It is always handy to have shared content over home networks The easiest way is to do this with a PC or a laptop. People like me do not want to have a machine running all the time only for this.

The much easier way is with Routers enabled with media sharing ports. So, here it is. We use a router with a USB port to connect a flash drive or an external HDD which can be accessed on every device connected to the router. (might require an additional app to access the content but that`s okay)

This is not new at all.

The other useful advantage of having this setup is that it acts as an expanded storage for your devices which are not enabled with SD card slots. You know what i mean if you are using an iDevice with 8 or 16 GB storage.

My personal choice here (no i don’t need an super powerful one) is Dlink 506L, which is currently available @1200 - 1300 bucks. This device is very handy to create hotspot on the go with inbuilt battery which means you can watch movies or share content even when you are travelling (It acts as battery bank, supports 3G dongles and other features as well)

Our life has got an extra second this year

No.. No.. I am not talking about philosophy or something. I really mean it. On June 30 2015, you will get an extra second which means your clock should show 23:59:60

This extra second is due to slow down in Earth`s rotation. So, it is just a second, what is the big deal ?

For us, Nothing much. But for our electronic friends, yes it is. Our computers will lose their sync with atomic clocks. When this extra scenario occurred last time (in 2012), sites like Foursquare, Reddit, LinkedIn  and some others had problems (reportedly crashed).

IT companies are already started preparing to deal with this. Google has got a plan called “Leap Smear” which is to split this second into lots of pieces (milliseconds i hope) and add them through out the day.

I have got lot of questions on this for which i don`t know answers yet. Yup, i will start with Wikipedia: Leap Second

My illogical logic on PK movie

I have recently watched PK. It is a good movie. There are some controversies circulating on it due to its logic.

PK movie's logic is actually correct. But if someone tells a little logic and yet cannot be usable even by them... Naaahh.. Why would someone consider this logic ?

Aamir must be using a merc or audi or whatever, so can i ask him to buy a Tata nano and donate the remaining to those who cant afford travelling ?

PK made crores of business at box office so will the producer / director donates it`s numbers for buying milk for the poor ?

Everybody here minds their business first... isn`t it ? ( may be most of the times ! )

 People (like me) who posts or writes or do something regarding this in social media could be doing it to promote their work or posts, so is PK & co. on silver screen.

No one is wrong. (May be except me :P)

I believe that a movie itself is an entertainment business. Am i wrong ?

If it has some good.. take it.. If its a shit and has nothing:

--> Start a discussion to tell whats wrong in it on your whatsapp groups

--> Create some memes on fb

--> Give some gyaan to your friends at your office/college how director should have done better
