Wirt how did your first day back to school go for you?

                ❛ I mean, it wasn’t the worst day that I could have had. Mrs. Robinson, my English teacher this year, has a lot of interesting novellas planned for the semester ! She seems very nice. Everything else was sort of normal, I guess…the only thing I really don’t look forward to is my chem teacher. I forgot his name. He seems very strict and he talks too fast so it’s hard to take notes. Ah. And gym. I don’t like gym. ❜

              BILL ROLLED HIS EYES at the shaky tone of his companion. he grabbed wirt’s arm, tugging him slightly. “if i ch-ch-check it out you gotta too. you can be behind me so you can run. you should be there s-s-s-so you can tell everyone h-how i di-di-died. “ bill began to chuckle, but it was cut short at the sudden sound. bills eyes drifted from the brunette to the sound, stepping around wirt to get closer. “ you’re not… the least bit curious ? “

the joke ( though cynical ) actually does make wirt pause. he doesn’t really laugh-- he’s too tense to physically react, especially when his senses were so heightened. but there is a silent appreciation for bill’s way of diffusing the situation. in a brief moment the teenager, despite the situation, didn’t feel completely frightened.

wirt sighed. god. he was totally going to regret this later on.

wirt learned how to make tapes from his biological father ! in the For Sara tape, some parts are accidentally mixed over his dad speaking to baby wirt ! so he either learned it from his dad, or by exposure to it as a kid, wanted to learn ! ( you can listen to it here if you’re interested, its at the end of Side A )

his room is stupidly messy as seen in episode 9, and cute details include: a bunch of books on interior design, a big wooden owl, at least two handcrafted wooden clocks for some reason??, lots of candles, a cup of tea, and of course the toy train on his desk. there’s also a guitar case in one shot, which suggests that he may play the guitar also? 

in the comics, it’s mentioned that wirt is wearing a grey shoe and a black shoe. he explains that he accidentally grabbed the wrong colored shoes and didn’t notice until later on.

Wirt when Greg was a baby was he bit of a handful?

oh boy. the one thing wirt won’t shut up about. 

                    ❛ He was just…so. Loud? Very loud. Always making really weird noises and yelling and laughing and. Just. I don’t know. For a while we shared a room together and it sort of drove me nuts. He was always really clingy too. You couldn’t leave him alone without him getting upset, which is why my mom and my stepdad spent so much time with him growing up…I didn’t. Really mind though. I like being alone. ❜

 “I LIKE YOUR COSTUME,” never the best at conversation starters,  hmm, georgie ?  he approaches the other with only a slight air of awkwardness; yet the smile he wore on his face  made up for it.  ( georgie tried his best to be outgoing.  he often failed,  but it was the thought that counted. )   but it was HARD for him to feel bad on a HOLIDAY  he loved so much :  halloween.  ( georgie, himself,  was dressed up as a pirate.  as always,  the right arm that was missing had it’s sleeve tied up by the shoulder.  if anyone’d ask at this party, he’d just tell them  that he lost it when some rival buccaneers tried to steal his treasure and move on.  making jokes made it sting less, right? )   “are youuu … hmm … a stylish lawn gnome,  maybe? no?”

he didn’t particularly want to be here. though a year had past and he ( hypothetically ) should have gotten better at handling social encounters, the end of october always created a sense of uneasiness with him. as the leaves began to fall and the wind grew sharp, he felt that anxiety build in his gut, wracking his mind with thoughts that kept him awake at night. greg, on the other hand, seemed to transition fairly well despite barely escaping death. in fact the only reason wirt was here was due to greg's sudden interest in the local house party, and since wirt was too afraid of leaving greg alone, he felt obligated to follow suit.  he had been trying to figure out exactly what he was drinking when someone spoke up, causing him to flinch and look over. at first, he paused, but then he realized that for some reason, they were talking to him.

he didn’t recognize this person ( though granted he didn’t know most of the people at his school ) so he shuffled slightly in his stance, looking down at his own chest. suddenly he felt ridiculous.

                      ❛ It’s a, ah. Ex...plorer? I, I don’t really know, I just. Sort of scrapped it together last year, and my little brother wanted to go here and I couldn’t come up with anything else, so...I don’t know. You have a lot cooler costume than me though. Like a modern Christopher Newport.  ❜
