Hello!!! Omigosh thank you so much for the kind words!! I was going through some nasty stuff when I wrote that, and now that I’m doing well I keep thinking about going back and deleting it. I actually finished the sequel but never published those last chapters... I’m not sure why, I just feel like the ending didn’t land like I wanted it to? I keep thinking if the right ending hits me I’ll go back and just publish them and call it done haha :) encouraging to know someone out there is still enjoying this fic!

Stucky Big Bang Sign-ups!

Alright we are finally pleased to announce the start of 2020’s StuckyBangs Big Bang!!! We wanted to get this rolling on July 4th in honor of our favorite spangly man with a plan. 2020 happened (is still happening, unfortunately) but we’re still here.

This round of the event will start now and finish in December. Here’s how it goes, if you’re an artist or a writer SIGN UP.

We believe in a low stress schedule for our events:

Summary

As a conservator of rare oil paintings for The Met, Steve Rogers thinks of himself part scientist, part archaeologist, but hardly an artist in his own right. Only when he’s faced with the daunting task of restoring a frozen painting from a recently unearthed Nazi art hoard does he start to feel his passion for the craft return. Before he has a chance to understand what that means, Steve is transported to the 1940’s, where he meets both The Winter Soldier himself, and his own destiny.

Case

Color scheme inspired by illustration on title spread.

I only had odd sized bits of this cerulean blue on white marble left over, so I had to get creative with the cases.

Added faux embossing (acrylic gold) on both.

Of course the endpapers are gold. Ribbon bookmark is sky blue.

The most interesting part of this book as far as design problems, was a fictional New York Times article at the very beginning. I just decided to fake a NYT front page layout for this, substituting Goudy Old Style for Cheltenham, and byline in Arial Black.
