Earth Hour is like Valentine's Day for the environment. We're pretty crappy to each other all year, what with my rampant discharge of methane and her inexplicable penchant for natural disasters, but there’s always one day that’s more special than the rest.

I may pilot a portable drone in virtual reality while strobing industrial strength flood lights to augment the fairy lights accentuating the food in my perpetually open fridge the other 8759 hours a year but I made it a point to to switch off my lights last Friday because goddammit I'm an environmentalist. 

Yes, that is the truth and has totally nothing to do with the fact that I haven't been paying my power bills on time.
