Everyone is saying Steve’s ending was ooc and selfish.
Just watch CW where he broke the avengers,ran away to wakanda and blamed tony for it who had to clean up their mess.That apology letter was crap.
Or in AoU where he trusted a hydra agent over his teammate.
Or in Avengers, “Take away the suit and what are you?”“You may not be a threat but you better stop pretending to be a hero"Cap mocking him by saying that Tony isn’t the kind of guy to lay down on the wire, to let the other guy crawl over him.
In endgame,Even when it turned out that Tony was right all along Rogers didn’t bother to say sorry for once. Not that saying “sorry” would cut it but the thing is he isn’t even sorry for putting Tony through all this pain.
But the journey of redemption starts with one step. And that step is acknowledging that you was wrong indeed.
You can’t make up for your mistakes if you don’t acknowledge them.
Like he said in IW,he isn’t looking for “forgiveness”
He only went to Tony’s house because he needed a big brain to find a solution.Not to see how his former teammate is doing. All these years, they didn’t came to check on him. Now they are here because once again they want him to do something for them even though it essentially means that Tony might lose his little family that he thrived for his entire life.
Tony even invited them to stay till dinner and they just… left.
Maybe he’s more selfish than u give him credit for?
