Lulu: The best part about being a writer is that instead of wondering why no one's ever written a short about sending the perfect first message to send on Bumble, I can just write it myself. Except I still haven't figured out what to send out on Bumble for MYSELF yet, so I'm stuck in a pit of my own making. HELP.

Kara: Ookay so I just won a ton of money at the casino playing roulette and had a bunch of drinks.

Rett: Me??? You know who I am, right? I think you texted the wrong person. This is Rett, the intern that handed you a sweat rag the other day.

Rett stood in the wings of the stage, watching all of his idols -- television directors, among them the ones from Breakthrough -- answer questions in their panel. He silently promised himself that one day, he’d be up there, but for now, his job -- and whole reason for being at DramaCon anyway -- was to hold Bianca and Nate’s coffee. After a particularly close call with nothing to blame but his own clumsiness, Rett almost spilled the coffee on a passer-by but caught it just in time. “Phew!” he exclaimed, a wide smile on his face, impressed with his own reflexes. “I would not have wanted to be the guy that gives someone third-degree burns all while accidentally shortcircuiting the sound board,” he laughed.

What's the worst thing you've ever written?

(5/10) I wrote a play for this thing that UCLA does called Theatrefest my first year, and that was....um.....less than ideal. I’m not much of a theatre guy, I’m definitely more film and TV! So when I thought I was being edgy and revolutionary by putting semi-nude fresh-eighteen-year-olds simulating sex onstage, I didn’t realize how weird it might have been for the audience...or their parents.

                           Task #1: ‘Celebrity Homes’ Interview

“I don’t exactly have a home! See, as a recent grad who definitely cannot afford to live in Los Angeles and somehow have no friends to roommate with me, I had to get creative with my housing. We’re lucky my landlord....if you want to call him that....is letting these cameras in because I don’t really know him that well -- I found him on Craigslist. He’s renting out his basement for super cheap. So yeah! I live in a basement. None of this furniture is mine, except for the big Hollywood sign up in the crawl space. I figured it needed some personalization, and kept that prop from a student film shoot back at UCLA. It gets weird when I get kicked out so my landlord can throw parties down here since there’s a bar and stuff, but I like it. It’s got character.”

Jen: A Karen, Callie, and Nick B plot already. How did I know they were going to go that route so quickly.

Jen: Whe did this show get so predictable.

Rett: when I sat in on the readthrough I felt the same way but I think the plot is going interestingly enough, given that this IS a teen drama, which can only have so many plots before it starts getting repetitive, right?

Pros to graduating early: You’re graduated early from one of the best universities in the country! Good for you! Cons to graduating early: You’re an adult now and UCLA doesn’t house non-students anymore so you need to find somewhere to live in LA when you’re barely employed to make money to pay rent. Sleeping on a couch til I can save up won’t be so bad, right?
