Do you have any advice to look for an apartment in France? I would like to go in Paris but I don't know where to look for... where did you live when you were there?
Hello! Finding an apartment in France can be super difficult especially for foreigners.
It also depends if you are moving here for a long time or just visiting for vacation. Right now I have my own apartment but I used to stay in airbnbs when I came for vacation and when I was an au pair I lived with the family I worked for.
I'd recommend getting an airbnb or a hotel and then searching for an apartment once you're already in Paris. Search how to make a folder with all the information landlords ask for. Don't be afraid to look in the Parisian suburbs for an apartment because it's cheaper and there is less competition for those apartments vs the ones in Paris.
If you have any more specific questions, don't hesitate to send me another ask!!

Ahhhhh i just got accepted into my first choice university in Paris !!!!!!!
one of the aspects of being bilingual that we don’t talk about enough is that awkward moment when the structure of your other language slips into your first language so you phrase a sentence like you would in your second language but using your native language (or vice versa) and so the syntax gets all fucked up and for a long while you just stare at nothing like, what the hell just happened, questioning your entire existence
I’m hollering
I’m happy to say I have officially passed the DELF B2!!!! One of my greatest accomplishments to this date, no French classes and 2.5 years later I’m here. I’ve been set on taking this exam since I was preparing to leave France in summer 2019 and the relief I feel is insane.
Thank you all for your support, help and just being here!
Time to celebrate!!
alright so i took the delf today!!
the listening and reading sections were pretty "easy" i think i did fairly well on those.
the writing was okay. i think it went well, nothing too crazy or demanding. My arguments weren't that strong but the format and grammar were good i think and it had enough words. my pen broke during the middle so my paper was so messy ugh
the last part the oral LMAO this is the only part im actually afraid to not get the minimum 5 points. I wrote a plan but as soon as it started i blanked out??? literally cannot remember a single sentence i said. i dont even know how long i talked maybe 5-15 minutes. all i know is that french words were leaving my mouth, hopefully in the correct context lol
i think i scored enough points in the reading, writing, and listening to make up for a poor score in the speaking so lets hope i have at least 50 points. i wont know unti around the beginning of january which is going to drive me crazy.
hey guys!
i came here to say sorry for not being active recently! i have a lot of deadlines coming up (DELF exam next week, finishing my uni applications, working two jobs) so i haven’t had a lot of spare time. I barely even study because I’m always tired bc of work lol.
but anyway, December is going to be super busy for me but i will be back to let you guys know how my exam goes. hopefully it goes well!!!!
