It's been over 2 hours since 2016 started for me and I'm here like, "OK.. now what?" LOL. Aights, in all seriousness. Something I've been realizing in the past 2 days is that the important things about starting a new year aren't the celebratory champaign, parties, and weak promises made to ourselves that we call "new year's resolutions." It's about seeing everything that we've gone through the past year, discovering God's faithfulness & grace to us through it all, and making that proactive commitment to trusting the new year to Him and Him alone. None of us knows how 2016 will be. What we do know is that we'll go through joyful times, stressful times, thankful times, and heartbreaking times. Through ALL of these times.. I, without a doubt, want to spend them with God knowing full-well that He is for me rather than against me. He knows our hearts.. He knows what we need the most and hears our cries.. He answers our prayers (Psalm 86:6-7). Yes, I'm not gonna lie.. I'll be making my list of "new year's resolutions." What will be done differently this year, however.. is that I'm actually proclaiming here, in my heart, and to God my commitment to trust Him even more with my life. To be more bold in my faith and to "trust without borders." I know that there is none more trustworthy than Him. So HOOZAH to the start of another year of faith, love, and grace from God 🎊🎉 #Godisgood #allthetime #onepunchman #anotheryearofderptoo
