It’s a relief to see someone crass & fake & self-loathing leave your fav’s life. But sad to realize your fav is actually a different person than what you thought he/she was. Now the mixed feeling has taken over me.

Why do people feel the need to assume the worst here. He can't carry all the stuff and probably will have them shifted later and period. Can't believe some still think he's the type to throw away gifts after all the trouble he has went for fans. He said he kept gifts in his mother's place previously and he would check them up when he feels upset. I choose to trust his own words over an IG pic and some blind guesses.
Sebastian Stan out in NYC
I like her style ! She seems both cool & hot.
Yesterday, at approximately 17:45, I bumped into Sebastian Stan in Dean and Deluca in New York… Hhhhhooooolllllyyyyy shit… Please excuse how awful I look but I feel like he is perfectly capable of looking gorgeous for the both of us. He is a literal RAY OF SUNSHINE and was so kind and friendly and perfect. HE HUGGED ME and when I said he was amazing, HE SAID I WAS TOO! So yeah… I just wanted to share with you one of the best moments in my life. I don’t think he realise how much it actually means to his fans when he stops to chat and take a selfie with them, it literally made my year/life. Thanks Sebastian! 💛
@ph-armacy @mattymattymerduck @officialcaptain-marvel @bovaria @ursulaismymiddlename - just wanted to tag you guys because I thought you might appreciate his perfect smile ☺️
Sooooo sweet !
I’ve got some weird and uncomfortable feelings towards certain someone. Never appreciate those who value public attention above loved ones, even if they are celebrities. But after all, who am I to say anything. Time will tell, or not at all.

…I don’t understand why people think Steve was emotionally compromised by Bucky (or “blinded by Bucky”) in Civil War. There’s no evidence of it in the plot.
Because, seriously:
Steve said no to the Accords before Bucky even appeared in the movie. His argument centred around how the Accords could exploit the Avengers. Bucky wasn’t even a factor at that point in time.
Steve was in Lagos to stop Rumlow from starting biological warfare. Yes, Rumlow distracted Steve by mentioning Bucky, but the audience knew Rumlow was going to set off the bomb the moment he told his soldiers that he wasn’t going to meet up with them. Steve’s love for Bucky had no involvement in the outcome of this scene. The battle had long begun, with civilian casualties already occurring.
When Natasha asked Steve to sign the Accords, Bucky still wasn’t in the picture and Steve still said no. There’s absolutely no evidence of emotional compromise, even though it’s Peggy’s funeral so you expect Steve to be emotional: he’s not fighting, or arguing, or trying to convince Natasha not to sign. He just says he can’t.
When Steve finds out Bucky is alive, he doesn’t dispute that Bucky bombed the U.N. He says to Natasha “If [Bucky]’s this far gone, I should be the one to bring him in, because I’m the least likely to die trying”. That’s not exactly a statement teeming with emotion. In fact, it’s pretty logical, since Steve broke the Soldier’s trance in CATWS.
Steve stops the government from trying to kill Bucky on sight, but does not stop them from arresting Bucky and doesn’t resist arrest himself. He even tells Bucky ‘this doesn’t have to end in a fight’ in the hopes of peaceful arrest, and shows up to save soldiers’ lives as much as Bucky’s. Steve’s not being difficult and he’s not fighting the government; instead, he asks about a lawyer as they take Bucky away. Emotionally compromised? Nah.

That’s why I’ve always seen CW as more of a Tony Stark film. The emotional arc of this movie revolves around him, not Steve or Bucky. But then I guess it’s a way to keep balance of both sides. But there shouldn’t be any side to be balanced in the first place. It’s the end of the trilogy and Steve deserves a movie of his own.
What’s a soulmate? Stucky
OMG THIS STEVE ROGERS
So I found this early version of storyboard of CA:CW and it was amazing.

Here’s our ALPHA STEVE ROGERS making compelling arguments on the Accords. There are so many reasons why you should check this video. Including Clint talking to Bucky about what Loki did to him. That’s the CA:CW we came so close to have. Seriously, why didn’t they make this into the movie.
NICK SPENCER IS HYDRA
The man asks for attention and chaos. Let’s not give him what he wants. Focus on Marvel and Disney. Make it very clear to them how disappointed you are as a fan and consumer. Make it very clear you won’t by any issue and you will tell your friends not to. It’s our time to defend our hero.
#SayNoToHYDRACap: What You Can Do
In the past 36 hours or so, a lot of us have felt like we’ve had the rug pulled out from under us and that someone we have loved and trusted–some of us for all our lives–has been used against us to cause us pain. All for the sake of shock value and money.
There has been a lot of pain and suffering and we know Cap would want better for us and he would rather die than let anyone down like this.
Especially his Jewish fans.
What has happened with Steve Rogers Captain America #1 is horrifically antisemitic and spits on the legacy of the two Jewish men who created him to get the American population to care about Jewish lives in a time when no one really did. A genocide was happening and America did nothing. Around the world, antisemitism is on the rise again and Marvel is now having its own hand at it. If this enrages you–and it should–then you must want to do something.
Nick Spencer and Marvel Executives want you to think that since this has already been published and has apparently been years in the making (which is a stretch, to say the least, they said this started in 2014), the conversation on this is over and our anger is meaningless. I’m here tell you, this isn’t true–as a collective, we can force Marvel to change. This conversation is not over until we let it die out.
We may not be able to stop this run of Steve Rogers Captain America from completing but we can influence Marvel in two meaningful ways: we can make sure that no matter what, this is not permanent, and we can make Marvel consider what will happen if they continue this trend of antisemitism and bigotry, of ignoring the important legacy and impact of their characters.
Marvel is afraid of what we do and don’t spend our money on. Marvel is afraid of what we say to our friends, what we encourage our social groups to read and not read. Marvel is afraid of irrelevance
Marvel is afraid us.
Here is What You Can Do:
Educate Yourself:
Educate yourself on why Joe Simon and Jack Kirby created Captain America.
Educate yourself on why, even if this was written with good intentions about the evils of people like Donald Trump, this spits on the faces of fans.
Educate yourself on the antisemitism that has been ongoing in Marvel and how this is just another part of that.
MORE IMPORTANTLY CONTACT MARVEL AND NICK SPENCER:
If you are on twitter: Nick spencer is @ nickspencer, Tom Breevort is @ tombreevort, Marvel is @ Marvel, and Disney is @ Disney. Tell them you will not be buying any comic in this run or any future Captain America comics until this is resolved. Tell them this is antisemitic. Tell them you are disgusted. Tell them you no longer trust their products.
Through email: [email protected]. Again, tell them if you are a new fan who thought they’d be a lifelong fan or an old fan. Tell them you are now reconsidering every purchasing their merchandise or attending their movies. This does not have to be true, just spend a month or so not purchasing their official goods. PLEASE MARK YOUR EMAIL “OKAY TO PRINT.”
Through mail: click this link for their address.
OTHER WAYS TO SEND A MESSAGE:
CONTACT AND DONATE TO THE ADL, The Anti-Defamation League created to stop the defamation of Jewish people. To paraphrase OP, spend the money you would have put into this comic to help Jewish people.
SIGN THIS PETITION
Comment on articles that only remark on how “shocking” this is and make jokes about this. Educate them and let them know how antisemitic this is. Let them know Cap’s true legacy. Let them know your anger.
SPREAD POSITIVITY FOR JEWISH FANS:
This post: outlines a potential day to create fanworks celebrating Jewish charactrs and headcanons. If the comics can’t be a safe space anymore, let us make fandom safer.
Most importantly, stay angry. Don’t let this moment pass.
We, as a fandom, are not powerless. We may not have superpowers, we may not have the individual wealth or social power to make a difference on our own, but we have the power to come together and let Marvel know we won’t stand for this. We will not passively stand by, Joe Simon and Jack Kirby would not want us to.
Captain America would not want us to stand by and let this happen.
Follow Up to “Don’t Buy Steve Rogers #1″ post, but I want to stress:
This can not be a kneejerk reaction. Marvel seems like they have no interest in backing down. They are committing to this vulgar storyline. That means we need to commit to a long campaign. We need to have plans for the whole summer, including San Diego Comic Con.
Pre-Sales Matter to the Companies the most. Also, if a store over buys a comic, they are stuck with that non-refundable inventory. It’s bad for the stores. CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION NOW. Cancel before the stores can order issues #2 and #3.
We have to go after Disney. If this affects Disney’s box office or merchandise sales they will step in. Don’t buy merch. Don’t buy the Captain America: Civil War Blue-Ray/Digital. Support the Dr. Strange Boycott. Get Disney’s attention.
Please do not threaten the live’s authors/publishers. Yes, they are giant assholes for greenlighting this disgusting shock value scam. Unfortunately, the easiest way for Disney/Marvel to dismiss you is for them to think you’re “one of those crazy people from the Internet.”
@thejollywriter since we were just talking about Disney in all of this
#givecaptainamericaaboyfriend is trending on Twitter. Life is pretty good.
Everybody's been talking about how Tony lost his parents. I 'm just thinking about how Mr&Ms Barnes lost their son. First to the war, then to Hydra, and finally to the modern world which sees him as a notorious terrorist and want him dead.
I can't imagine how heartbreaking the couple would be if they knew what happened to their beloved boy.I had to believe Bucky has a future with Steve, a future they both truly deserve.
I liked Civil War – the acting was sound, characterizations weren’t destroyed, and the plot had some interesting moments. I’d see it again. There’s a lot that fandom can do with what we were given!
It’s heartbreaking, though, when I see what Captain America 3 could have been. The plotlines that we almost had, if the rumours are true. The loss of that emotional arc between Steve and Bucky, the removal of Bucky’s post-WS storyline, the things the Russos talked about exploring in the film that never happened, and all the things that Chris has confirmed were edited out, presumably to make room for non-Captain America characters.
I remember how excited I was when they released the CW teaser trailer, which was all about Steve and Bucky… not realizing that everything they showed was everything there was in the entire film, plus non-related scenes cut to seem like Steve/Bucky moments.
It’s disappointing to see how the already successful franchise was chipped away to make more money, because it removed the heart of the story in the process: Steve and Bucky’s friendship, their recovery, their lives.
I love that " She must be 100. So are we, pal " chat between Steve and Bucky on that QuinJet and the way they smiled.
And then I realize that they were heading to Siberia to stop 5 winter soldiers ON THEIR OWN. That chat might as well be their last ever conversation.
And they were so calm about that like it was just another battle in World War II . Because that's who they are since 1940s: always prepared to die for the right things no matter what. Because they knew each other since childhood and Steve never doubted they are the same kind.
i honestly…have no words…for what markus & mcfeely, captain america movies writers, say about bucky & the postcredit in this interview. the part i’m talking about starts at about 5:30.
Q: Why was it necessary to put the winter soldier back on ice? A: Well because, I mean for one thing he is, give or take his intellectual capacity, 100% guilty. And to have Steve just running around getting free salads with him on some island, it’s a little too unpunished, in a way. This is not a guy who should be running around happily. He may not be 100% guilty, but he’s damn sure not 100% innocent. Q: Why does that not apply to Wanda Maximoff? A: Wanda… Q: You think she suffered enough? A: I don’t think she did anything near as bad […] None of those things were terribly interesting to us, the punishing of nice people, who already feel guilt. In the Bucky issue is…it was a bridge too far I think.
I’m going to throw up. This confirms everything I felt when I watched that fucking scene. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are literally, blatantly, intentionally punishing Bucky by fridging him. These writers consciously chose to freeze his arc, nullify any possible background interaction with Steve or T’Challa or with absolutely anyone else, because he will be frozen out of the action for the foreseeable future until he is useful again to the plot.
Bucky will NOT recover any further, he will not regain his arm, autonomy, freedom of choice, self confidence or anything else, he will not have a life again offscreen or anywhere until they deem it convenient again, and this was done deliberately to punish Bucky for the actions he committed under literal torture and mind-control by someone else’s orders and for someone else’s gain. Meanwhile, literally no other character in the MCU, hardly even the villains, have been thus punished out of the narrative for actions they consciously chose to do which caused massive amounts of damage and death, because apparently only Bucky doesn’t deserve to have a life.
I’ve already read all kind of headcanon-y rationalizations and justifications for that scene: that this was Bucky’s choice and thus acceptable since it’s his first choice. That this was a selfless act that proves Bucky’s worth. That Bucky’s recovery will be better with T’Challa. These are all fan interpretations that sure sound nicer, there to try and fill blanks to make sense of the decision in-universe, but here we have literal fact from these creators themselves:
Bucky will remain frozen out of the action, because the writers have deemed him culpable and in need of paying for his crimes. He’s being “punished” by being denied any character development or actual help in universe. Take yourself out of the Marvel universe for a minute, and see this wasn’t Bucky choosing anything, because these are characters on a page that don’t possess self-determination. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely wrote Bucky as a plot device, backed him into a corner, and left him there. This was a choice that these writers, who have creative license and power, who could have written him a way out of his ‘controlled by codewords’ predicament they put him in, who could have given him (and us, his fans) at the very least the peace of mind that he was protected with Steve and healing somewhere in the background after an entire movie of playing everyone else’s plot device, chose to deny him.
So the truth of the matter is that, not only did Bucky Barnes not get his own arc in Cap 3, didn’t get autonomy or decision making power, didn’t get any real, deep insight into what was going on in his mind or where he was at in his recovery (other than the fact the he does remember and he does feel guilt, both of which were things Bucky himself acknowledged verbally during the film), but Bucky was deliberately denied progressing beyond this stalemate and sidelined from everyone’s lives, his own included, once he was done being useful to others’ narrative and would have needed his own. He was fridged as “punishment”, because he’s seen as guilty, and will be the only character who’ll be in exactly the same place the next time we get to see him.
I feel sick, too.
