Reyna was the image of what every Princess should be. As a girl, Ashara had looked up to her. She knew life would be much more simple if she had the refinement and grace of her friend. Yet no matter how she tried, she simply couldn’t quell her wild fire. “Of course!” Ashara answered with a smile. There was nothing more she would like to do. It had been months now since she’d been able to see her friend, and even longer still since they’d been able to find a moment to themselves. “Is there anything in particular you wish to discuss? Or are we just going to catch up?”
“Oh, we could discuss anything you like.” Reyna replied and patted the seat next to her in invitation. It was available, the lady who would occupy it being too busy dancing with her husband, and she did not seem willing to sit down anytime soon. “I actually heard something about a betrothal of yours. Is it true?” It had been years since Reyna was betrothed herself, and how many things had changed since then. She was now a widow with two small children and no plans to remarry. At least for the time being. “I hope you look forward to running your own Keep.”
