✶ species: half-wolf, Roman

✶ abilities: can turn into his “wolfself” (a 6’10 anthropomorphic dark brown wolf with his green eyes) at will, a larger (7’2) version on the full moon, and a [REDACTED] on the blood moon. sharp claws that can be used for combat. has the proportional strength and speed of a wolf, superior hearing/sense of smell, and night vision. also has claws on his human hands that are retractable, like a cat’s.

✶ personality: usually silly. can be rude sometimes but isn’t aware. loyal, arrogant, kinda self centered, also very hyper and bored easily.

however, he has since ‘reformed’ and is now less self-centered and cocky, and lets himself show his emotions since he would usually hide his fear, distress, etc. he is also more serious.

✶ likes: eating, swimming, competition, reading, howling, rainy days, soda, his friends

✶ dislikes: cats, being disturbed while doing something, cabin 7, chemical smells, pandai, satyrs, vacuum cleaners

✶ voice hc: kind of a mix between sonic the hedgehog and rainbow dash ?? mostly sonic (specifically sonic unleashed sonic). and a bit of fink the fox from the wild robot. i don’t even know at this point just imagine them all mixed together with a bit of a southern accent. he has a southern accent that shows up when he’s flustered/scared/mad

✶ appearance: soft, fluffy brown hair a bit above his shoulders in a shaggy wolfcut, green eyes, a scar under his right eye, on his nose and the right side of his jaw, has the hind legs of a brown wolf (like a satyr has the hind legs of a goat) and a tail, also has wolf ears on the top of his head (the left one is floppy). he is missing a claw on his left foot, and has three large scars across his chest, and a large scar on the right side of his torso.

Disgrace

Everything at Camp Jupiter seemed fine. It was a normal day. A bit too normal, as nothing even mildly exciting was happening. Time seemed to move slowly.

So, of course, the hyper Lucian was probably bored. Or maybe he was doing something. Whatever the case was, he was outside, right on time to see Reyno walk past.

Reyno was taking a stroll, chewing on the inside of his cheek as he seemed to be deep in thought, tail swishing. He stroked his chin. He’d been absent for a few months, then came back, then absent again, then back again, each time coming back more and more disheveled, his eyes losing the usual snarky light. He still had it in him, but hadn’t really talked to much people, nobody really knew what he was up to. He was just kind of… there. Still a figure of authority, but people seemed to be distancing themselves until they could figure out what was going on with him.

Lucian was told to leave the training grounds again, after another unfortunate event of him accidentally throwing his sword at someone and nearly giving them a serious injury. He supposed it was fair, but at the same time he was a little angry that they didn't let him stay. How is he supposed to get better if they never let him practice? It was so unfair!

He was walking around camp grounds, with nothing left to do, when he spotted Reyno. Holy crap, it's Reyno. He hasn't seen him in ages!! His ears immediately perked up, tail started wagging, pupils got bigger- just all the happy signs were there. What does he do? Should he approach? Should he leave him alone? He felt both nervous and excited about seeing his idol that he was frozen in place for a moment before deciding to run up to Reyno and jump around him like an excited puppy.

"You're back! Hi! I missed you!! Where were you? Was it cool? Did you fight anything cool? I bet you did!"

Whatever Reyno was thinking about, he was so deep in thought he didn’t seem to notice anything around him as he paced along. His ears pinned down and his tail lashing in concentration, not even smelling the excited Lucian approach, which sucked for Reyno, as he was supposed to be able to detect something from as far as a mile away.

Suddenly, as Lucian’s voice pierced the air, he jumped back into the air, eyes wide, startled, his tail bushed out, before regaining composure a second later. He hissed in annoyance and batted Lucian away.

“Hey, HEY! Don’t you know not to scare people like that? One question at a time, runt!” Reyno shook his head, straightening his back and placing his hands on his furry hips.

Lucian's eyes quickly lost their sparkle as Reyno scolded him. His ears pinned down and he looked away for a moment. Had he done something wrong? Why was he being reprimanded? Not that he wasn't used to it, but at least he knew what he did wrong when it was by other people. Shouldn't Reyno have good hearing? Why was he talking about scaring people? He was just excited to see him again :(

He scrunched up his face a little to regain his composure and looked back at the son of Lupa in front of him. He was saddened about being called a runt, but he guessed that was correct. He couldn't really do anything. He was just a stupid legacy.

"I'm sorry.." He needed to calm down. This isn't something people expect from a soldier. He was still a soldier, he needed to behave right. "...where were you?"

Reyno took a step backward, scowling as he took a good look at Lucian. He looked older… or did he? Rey didn’t even know. It was almost like he’d forgotten what Lucian had actually looked like, it seemed fuzzy to him. He was so busy thinking about literally everything else…

His ears flicked as he looked down at Lucian, not knowing if he should do the usual thing Reyno would do (yell and stick his chest out and look as threatening, in an aggressive way, as possible, and make a stupid snarky joke while he was at it) or if he should take this slowly, still being threatening but in the way that he’d look more mature, more intelligent, or whatever.

I miss Charlie.

Rey shook the thought away as he decided to step back closer to Lucian, his eyes slightly softening, but barely noticeable.

“…I can’t tell you that, can I? It’s classified. Nice try though.” he spoke slowly, trying to stay composed, confident but not too confident.

The younger boy's tail swished back and forth, not in excitement but rather as some kind of idle movement, like some people fidgeting with their fingers or anything of the sort. He didn't know how to act around Reyno anymore, it's been such a long time that he was just... so very confused.

He needed to be calm, that's the first thing he thought of. That he needed to act like a proper soldier. He can't make a fool of himself in front of his literal idol! So he took a breath, and made sure he wasn't too sad or too happy when he was talking, or just looking at Reyno.

"Okay. Um, did you do anything cool?" He was almost sure that he wasn't going to get an answer out of this one either, but he just- he wanted to try and have at least something of a conversation.

Reyno’s tail swished along for a few seconds until he realized their tails were synchronized and quickly cut it out. He resorted to tapping his foot-paw lightly before stopping that, too. He held back a sigh.

He won’t give up, will he?

He held Lucian’s gaze for a few seconds, steely green gaze fixed on the younger boy. Observing. Not knowing what to tell him, both because he didn’t want to, but also because he didn’t really know how to describe… all that.

“By your definition, yes, but by mine, no. It’s all normal to me now. Happens when you get lots of experience.” Rey lifted his chin up a bit higher.

The son of Achlys froze when he thought of his loves. Not because he was thinking about how much he appreciates them or how he'd give the world to them or anything like that- but because something was missing. He frantically opened his desk drawer and stared at the little patches he made as Christmas gifts for them- one for Xan, a clock where the arrows ended with little hearts, and one for... Who was that? It was a paw shape, with the little pads being shaped like hearts.

His vision blurred with tears. No. No, no, no. Gods, please, no. Gods. Not again. Please. Please he was begging internally not again. His heart rate spiked, he felt like he was going to pass out. He started to scratch at his arms, staring at those patches. Who was the other guy- who- he didn't want to forget. Gods.

Instead of collapsing or doing horrible things, he ran to the training area, nearly bumping into walls the entire time because of the tears in his eyes making his vision worse. His legs burned, they felt like they were going to give out, but he rushed up to a punching bag and started, well, punching it. Over and over and over again. Angry sobs leaving him every time his fists made contact with the bag, the rattle of the chains it was hung to the ceiling on filled the room.

See, usually he'd trash his room. But he has people's Christmas gifts in there right now, so he knew he needed to cause destruction in a... safer way.

The son of Achlys simply rolled away from the cut and stood back up again, taking a small step back. He knew he had to be smart about this, no matter how much the adrenaline spike wanted him to act. Wanted him to fight. To strangle Reyno. To kill him and then go back into the palace and fall asleep on the floor until someone finds him and takes him to the infirmary, or just fall asleep on the floor and bleed out there.

He didn't need to wait long for the sword, since the harpy was terrified of even touching it the wrong way and once she got it, wanted to get rid of it as soon as she possibly could. So she slid it towards Theo quickly and bolted back inside, probably to wash her hands like ten times to make sure she doesn't die from cross-contamination or whatever.

Now, that was something he could work with. He picked up some of his blood from the wound on his cheek with his fingers and flicked it at Reyno's face, accelerating its speed a little- since he could. And thought it might be nice. Then, he picked up his sword, the ancient Greek letters on it glowing blue, the little upgrade Eleos gave it way back when he first received it, and gods he was still so very grateful for this weapon. It's helped him so many times.

"Sorry, got the memory of him wiped, can't really reflect on it right now. Maybe later though." The writing on the black blade glowed brighter as he took a step forward. He wanted to end this, and fast, so he could go back inside. The cold was getting a little annoying. "Hey, you the new guy? Man, I was at least hoping he replaced us with something better."

Reyno shook out his face from the infected poisonous blood, though it was too late - he felt a burn form towards his jaw. His ears pinned to his head as he growled threateningly, though wary of the sword - the glowing letters seemed a bit sinister. Though with the power of brute wolf force and Charlie, he felt he could still beat Theo.

Him and Charlie both snarled in unison at the last comment.

“Be careful what you say about me, as your next words could lead to a sword through your heart.” Charlie hissed, stalking forward, but not before Reyno roared -

“YOU DON’T TALK ABOUT HIM LIKE THAT, YOU USELESS TWAT!” he lunged forward, grabbing Theo in his mouth and shaking him like a dog toy, flinging him into a nearby tree before grabbing his right arm in the mouth yet again, pulling on his limb, Charlie ready to -

Theo’s arm flew off, flying in a graceful arc across the air, blood spurting in it’s path, Reyno taking it in his mouth and displaying it like a trophy, chest visibly heaving as his eyes glowed in anger as Charlie stood in shock before shaking himself off and holding the sword in front of him warily.

"I hope he cheats on you too." He spat, before he was suddenly picked up by Reyno- and gods he didn't know what was going to happen, but he held his sword tight and made sure not to let go of it, not matter what happened. He let out a grunt as he was thrown at a tree and hit the ground, hard. He barely managed to pull himself up, when he was grabbed again, and he would've been pulled into the air again if he didn't stupidly decide to hold onto the tree. That's when he heard the sickening ripping of flesh and the crack of bones being separated from each other.

At first he wanted to scream. But he knew he couldn't, he'd lose his voice if he did. Then, he wanted to run away. But something stopped him from doing that. Perhaps it was because of the binding of the sword, or the fact that he just lost an arm and kind of wanted it back, or maybe a mix of both. He didn't know, nor did he care. He stepped forward, gripping his weapon as if it was going to be the last thing he'll hold in his life. "...let this blade seek out blood of those despicable and unforgiven..." He said, as if reciting something, the letters on the sword growing brighter.

With blood pooling out of the gash that was his missing arm, a fuckton of phantom pain and pure adrenaline, he ran at Reyno and slashed at his mouth, trying to get him to let go of his limb. "...make wounds bleed for as long as they are not given mercy by those they've harmed." He finished the sentence as the blade cut through the bottom of Reyno's mouth.

Charlie let out a colorful string of curses at the cheating comment before Reyno ripped Theo’s arm off.

Reyno spat the limb out on top of Theo as his mouth got slashed, now covering his lower jaw in blood. Soon, it would be Theo’s. He noticed the words he uttered with the sword, swiping not to wound, but to bat Theo away in annoyance.

“Despicable and unforgiven. Very funny. You do realize you’re not the center of the world and that other people exist? Just because I happened to trigger you by removing your memory doesn’t mean I’m suddenly the scum of the Earth. Unlike you, pussy.” he spat, clawing at Theo’s chest as more blood poured from his wound.

Charlie couldn’t stand to see Reyno treated like this, so he rushed forward, landing a punch to Theo’s wounded cheek and attempted to knock him down again. Unlike Reyno, who was a mix of speed, cunning, and power, Charlie was pure brute strength. He was a son of Ares, after all.

Theo saw the limb fall, and tried to grab it... with the arm he didn't have. The phantom feeling of it being there and the shock with not being able to grab his missing arm made him freeze up for a fraction of a second, long enough to be knocked away from it.

"Let me see... you hurt me. And many others, when they remember you and realize you're not there anymore. This whole... new thing, I assume it's new, will hurt them. Despicable, check. I sure as hell won't forgive you. Unforgiven, check." He walked towards his arm, not sure how to pick it up while holding a sword... but he figured he'll think about it when he gets there. "Also, bold move to say that to someone who's heard that and many other insults from the moment they gained consciousness as a kid."

Well, bold move revealing that to someone but whatever. Not like he cared. He had no connections to Reyno anymore, so the insults didn't really phase him. He supposed he was just hoping to make him feel at least a little bit bad about it, which, now that he thinks about it, won't happen.

He was knocked back a few feet by the punch, but after taking a few moments to compose himself, he picked himself back up and first of all went over to retrieve his necklace-sword, pressing the button on it and letting it dangle off of his pinky finger, then walked up to his arm, kneeling next to it and thinking for a moment before getting an idea. He placed the sword in the hand of the ripped off arm, using his left hand to close the fingers around the hilt and picking it up by the hand to ensure the sword stays there. He knew he didn't have much time until the blood loss got to him and he passes out, and also he was aware that the time he had to at least try to reattach it was very limited, so he couldn't exactly afford to waste more time on someone as insignificant as Reyno. Plus, he had an infected wound on his face.

"Mercy usually means death... but let's say ending this now counts. Not sure others will want to give you mercy though, so that might hurt like a bitch after it closes." He said as he stood up, holding his severed arm as tight as he possibly could. "Let's never see each other again, alright? You're walking off with way less injuries than I'd like, anyway..."

Reyno groaned in frustration as he shook his fur out, blood from the wound splattering everywhere, his left arm now a mess as it was matted with blood from the shoulder wound.

He licked his lips as the scent of Theo’s wounds filled his nose, thinking the time he took to grab the arm was the perfect time to strike, until he spoke up.

“Even if they choose not to give me mercy, I’ll deal with them as I dealt with you. As in, giving them a hefty wound to remember not to mess with me.” he growled.

“…Alright. Fair deal, and I better not see any of your stinkin’ friends after this, unless it’s of my own accord, got it?” Reyno reluctantly agreed, slowly turning back into a human. He hated to admit it, but he was growing tired. His prime seemed to have passed, though he was still powerful. Constantly fighting for his life over the past few months seemed to have drained him. Now, just to hide away for a few weeks until he regained strength… and then he could come back.

“Same goes for you…” he snapped back in a whisper, vision slowly getting blurry from the blood loss, half his body red. Charlie worriedly wrapped an arm around him, glaring back at Theo.

Theo was moving backwards, clutching all his belongings in the hand that was still attached to his body, which proved quite difficult considering he needed to hold onto his ripped off arm, which was somewhat heavy. Not the heaviest thing he's had to carry, but definitely a struggle when he's an arm short and rapidly losing blood. The stump left a trail of blood where Theo stepped, and he knew that if he didn't get to the infirmary quickly, then he'd be left passed out on the floor of the palace.

"I can..cashnt.. cotrol.. con..tel... fem..." Gods, his speech was starting to slur. He wondered whether it was due to the bloodloss, the fact that he was probably concussed, or both of those things. Either way, he backed away towards the entrance of the palace, already thinking about how hard he's going to have to make it up to the workers who'll have to clean his blood from the floors.

Not because he was thinking about how much he appreciates them or how he'd give the world to them or anything like that- but because something was missing. He frantically opened his desk drawer and stared at the little patches he made as Christmas gifts for them- one for Xan, a clock where the arrows ended with little hearts, and one for... Who was that? It was a paw shape, with the little pads being shaped like hearts.

His vision blurred with tears. No. No, no, no. Gods, please, no. Gods. Not again. Please. Please he was begging internally not again. His heart rate spiked, he felt like he was going to pass out. He started to scratch at his arms, staring at those patches. Who was the other guy- who- he didn't want to forget. Gods.

Instead of collapsing or doing horrible things, he ran to the training area, nearly bumping into walls the entire time because of the tears in his eyes making his vision worse. His legs burned, they felt like they were going to give out, but he rushed up to a punching bag and started, well, punching it. Over and over and over again. Angry sobs leaving him every time his fists made contact with the bag, the rattle of the chains it was hung to the ceiling on filled the room.

See, usually he'd trash his room. But he has people's Christmas gifts in there right now, so he knew he needed to cause destruction in a... safer way.

Wanted him to fight. To strangle Reyno. To kill him and then go back into the palace and fall asleep on the floor until someone finds him and takes him to the infirmary, or just fall asleep on the floor and bleed out there.

He didn't need to wait long for the sword, since the harpy was terrified of even touching it the wrong way and once she got it, wanted to get rid of it as soon as she possibly could. So she slid it towards Theo quickly and bolted back inside, probably to wash her hands like ten times to make sure she doesn't die from cross-contamination or whatever.

Now, that was something he could work with. He picked up some of his blood from the wound on his cheek with his fingers and flicked it at Reyno's face, accelerating its speed a little- since he could. And thought it might be nice. Then, he picked up his sword, the ancient Greek letters on it glowing blue, the little upgrade Eleos gave it way back when he first received it, and gods he was still so very grateful for this weapon. It's helped him so many times.

"Sorry, got the memory of him wiped, can't really reflect on it right now. Maybe later though." The writing on the black blade glowed brighter as he took a step forward. He wanted to end this, and fast, so he could go back inside. The cold was getting a little annoying. "Hey, you the new guy? Man, I was at least hoping he replaced us with something better."

Reyno shook out his face from the infected poisonous blood, though it was too late - he felt a burn form towards his jaw. His ears pinned to his head as he growled threateningly, though wary of the sword - the glowing letters seemed a bit sinister. Though with the power of brute wolf force and Charlie, he felt he could still beat Theo.

Him and Charlie both snarled in unison at the last comment.

“Be careful what you say about me, as your next words could lead to a sword through your heart.” Charlie hissed, stalking forward, but not before Reyno roared -

“YOU DON’T TALK ABOUT HIM LIKE THAT, YOU USELESS TWAT!” he lunged forward, grabbing Theo in his mouth and shaking him like a dog toy, flinging him into a nearby tree before grabbing his right arm in the mouth yet again, pulling on his limb, Charlie ready to -

Theo’s arm flew off, flying in a graceful arc across the air, blood spurting in it’s path, Reyno taking it in his mouth and displaying it like a trophy, chest visibly heaving as his eyes glowed in anger as Charlie stood in shock before shaking himself off and holding the sword in front of him warily.

"I hope he cheats on you too." He spat, before he was suddenly picked up by Reyno- and gods he didn't know what was going to happen, but he held his sword tight and made sure not to let go of it, not matter what happened. He let out a grunt as he was thrown at a tree and hit the ground, hard. He barely managed to pull himself up, when he was grabbed again, and he would've been pulled into the air again if he didn't stupidly decide to hold onto the tree. That's when he heard the sickening ripping of flesh and the crack of bones being separated from each other.

At first he wanted to scream. But he knew he couldn't, he'd lose his voice if he did. Then, he wanted to run away. But something stopped him from doing that. Perhaps it was because of the binding of the sword, or the fact that he just lost an arm and kind of wanted it back, or maybe a mix of both. He didn't know, nor did he care. He stepped forward, gripping his weapon as if it was going to be the last thing he'll hold in his life. "...let this blade seek out blood of those despicable and unforgiven..." He said, as if reciting something, the letters on the sword growing brighter.

With blood pooling out of the gash that was his missing arm, a fuckton of phantom pain and pure adrenaline, he ran at Reyno and slashed at his mouth, trying to get him to let go of his limb. "...make wounds bleed for as long as they are not given mercy by those they've harmed." He finished the sentence as the blade cut through the bottom of Reyno's mouth.

Charlie let out a colorful string of curses at the cheating comment before Reyno ripped Theo’s arm off.

Reyno spat the limb out on top of Theo as his mouth got slashed, now covering his lower jaw in blood. Soon, it would be Theo’s. He noticed the words he uttered with the sword, swiping not to wound, but to bat Theo away in annoyance.

“Despicable and unforgiven. Very funny. You do realize you’re not the center of the world and that other people exist? Just because I happened to trigger you by removing your memory doesn’t mean I’m suddenly the scum of the Earth. Unlike you, pussy.” he spat, clawing at Theo’s chest as more blood poured from his wound.

Charlie couldn’t stand to see Reyno treated like this, so he rushed forward, landing a punch to Theo’s wounded cheek and attempted to knock him down again. Unlike Reyno, who was a mix of speed, cunning, and power, Charlie was pure brute strength. He was a son of Ares, after all.

Theo saw the limb fall, and tried to grab it... with the arm he didn't have. The phantom feeling of it being there and the shock with not being able to grab his missing arm made him freeze up for a fraction of a second, long enough to be knocked away from it.

"Let me see... you hurt me. And many others, when they remember you and realize you're not there anymore. This whole... new thing, I assume it's new, will hurt them. Despicable, check. I sure as hell won't forgive you. Unforgiven, check." He walked towards his arm, not sure how to pick it up while holding a sword... but he figured he'll think about it when he gets there. "Also, bold move to say that to someone who's heard that and many other insults from the moment they gained consciousness as a kid."

Well, bold move revealing that to someone but whatever. Not like he cared. He had no connections to Reyno anymore, so the insults didn't really phase him. He supposed he was just hoping to make him feel at least a little bit bad about it, which, now that he thinks about it, won't happen.

He was knocked back a few feet by the punch, but after taking a few moments to compose himself, he picked himself back up and first of all went over to retrieve his necklace-sword, pressing the button on it and letting it dangle off of his pinky finger, then walked up to his arm, kneeling next to it and thinking for a moment before getting an idea. He placed the sword in the hand of the ripped off arm, using his left hand to close the fingers around the hilt and picking it up by the hand to ensure the sword stays there. He knew he didn't have much time until the blood loss got to him and he passes out, and also he was aware that the time he had to at least try to reattach it was very limited, so he couldn't exactly afford to waste more time on someone as insignificant as Reyno. Plus, he had an infected wound on his face.

"Mercy usually means death... but let's say ending this now counts. Not sure others will want to give you mercy though, so that might hurt like a bitch after it closes." He said as he stood up, holding his severed arm as tight as he possibly could. "Let's never see each other again, alright? You're walking off with way less injuries than I'd like, anyway..."

Reyno groaned in frustration as he shook his fur out, blood from the wound splattering everywhere, his left arm now a mess as it was matted with blood from the shoulder wound.

“Even if they choose not to give me mercy, I’ll deal with them as I dealt with you. As in, giving them a hefty wound to remember not to mess with me.” he growled.

“…Alright. Fair deal, and I better not see any of your stinkin’ friends after this, unless it’s of my own accord, got it?” Reyno reluctantly agreed, slowly turning back into a human. He hated to admit it, but he was growing tired. His prime seemed to have passed, though he was still powerful. Constantly fighting for his life over the past few months seemed to have drained him. Now, just to hide away for a few weeks until he regained strength… and then he could come back.

“Same goes for you…” he snapped back in a whisper, vision slowly getting blurry from the blood loss, half his body red. Charlie worriedly wrapped an arm around him, glaring back at Theo.

It’s almost like someone else was inside your thoughts now, showing you a series of images, thoughts pulling at the edge of your mind.

A large, brown, scarred werewolf, green eyes glinting sinisterly in the moonlight.

A bristling tail, along with a series of muffled growls, seeming as if they were coming from somewhere far away.

Flashing silhouettes of a young, muscular man, his eyes dark as he succumbed to various wounds, hisses of pain echoing in the background, though his features were blurry.

Just as quickly as it had started, it was over, leaving Theo all alone for now.

The visions only made Theo punch harder, he didn't even know what was going on and he hated it. He hated forgetting. He hated not being able to remember anything. It made him want to die. Just sink into a ground and stop existing. Because at this point, if he can't remember things in his life who even is he? Is he even a person anymore? Is he even still Theo st this point? He couldn't tell. As far as he knows, he's just a blob that physically resembles someone people know as Theo.

He lost focus for a fraction of a second and the punching bag hit him as it swung back at him, making him stumble back and look around. He didn't even know if he could be sure he knows where he is anymore. Or who he was. He walked off, it was time to give people their Christmas gifts- at least if he remembers it right. And by the gods, he hopes he remembers it right...

It seemed to have been months… almost a year since he’d last seen this ‘person’. They did seem important, very important, but if they were so important, how could Theo have forgotten? There had to be something else involved.

The wind howled, and the sky seemed to get darker, as if a storm was brewing.

He hates this. Absolutely hates this. If anyone asked him what the one thing he couldn't stand the most was, it would be things like this. It happened a while ago with Argo. At least he guesses he remembers now. And this time? Gods. He felt like he was going to murder someone. Or destroy a room. Anything. He just wanted to stop forgetting important things. Or anything at all, honestly.

He also didn't like the feeling of being watched. He slowed his pace down, looking around, and suddenly every inanimate object looked a little off to him. Like someone was there behind every single pot, every table, every corner.

Meanwhile, outside, if you listened really closely, you could hear claws ever so slightly scratching against wood. It could be a squirrel, or a raccoon. But it could also be Reyno.

Reyno pulled himself up into the branches, pupils dilating as he scanned the building, trying to peer into windows and catch sight of someone - anyone - mainly Theo.

Theo - after all his trials, he’d seemed to have forgotten about him. Which kind of made him guilty, deep down, but Reyno didn’t care much for guilt. Not anymore. He was a changed man now.

He kept watch, eyelids starting to fall drowsily but snapping open, ears swiveling as he tried to detect nearby movement, gripping onto the branch as to not fall out. He wasn’t as nimble as he used to be, due to the amount of injuries he’d collected over the past few months.

Theo didn't care about his safety. It was a strange feeling, he both wanted to survive and felt apathetic towards whatever might happen next. He couldn't say he hasn't experienced it before, but that didn't take away from the fact that it was a strange feeling.

Gods, he just wanted everything to be normal. Last year he'd ran away for Christmas, and this year something happens as well. At this point he was wondering if things would've been better if he never had a godly parent and was just normal, despite how his mortal parents were. He started thinking if it would've been worth it to stay normal.

He went to his room and grabbed the paw patch, hoping it'll make him remember something or feel anything at all. At this point he just wanted to be free of any problems.

Gods he needed fresh air or something he didn't even fucking care anymore he just wanted to feel like a person.

He pressed the button on his necklace from Karla, turning it into a sword in his hand, the other holding the patch as he stepped outside. Gods the cold air felt so good against his skin. He felt like he could finally breathe again.

The second the door opened and someone stepped out, Reyno’s head snapped to attention, whisking towards the figure.

He sniffed the air, recognizing the scent immediately, eyes narrowing as Theo slid the sword out. Not that a sword scared him, after everything he’d been through. A sword was the least of his worries.

He slid down the tree, still ducking to remain out of sight while contemplating whether he should show himself or not. Poor guy would probably get a panic attack, if he even recognized him. Reyno had grown a few inches, along with more recognizable stubble and a harder gaze, not to mention the extra scars littering his body.

His Camp Jupiter shirt was now tattered, surprisingly still intact, but with gaping holes scattered throughout, and missing a sleeve, further highlighting his muscular build. Not too muscular that it was gross, but noticeably powerful. He was almost fully grown, for a Lupa kid, looking older than he was.

Reyno shook his head before rolling out of the undergrowth and standing up, crossing his arms and watching, now in plain sight.

He took a couple deep breaths, trying to calm himself. Gods, the air felt so good. It felt like life, in an odd way. It felt better than ever before. Maybe because Theo's throat was kind of closing up before. Maybe because he thought he was suffocating just moments ago. Maybe that's why the cold air felt so good in his lungs now. He didn't even care that he felt like he was freezing. He just wanted air.

He also didn't care at first that someone was there. Gods, the only thoughts in his head in that moment were 'Fuuuckkk, air.' and 'I need a drink.' He was so going to get drunk after this. He needed a nap.

He stared at this.. this thing. This thing that he didn't know what it was. This thing that was standing in front of his porch. He didn't even have any emotion behind his eyes, just... pure nothingness. Looking into his eyes felt like looking into a void.

"Get out." Was all he could say. He didn't have the time, energy nor attitude to deal with this. Honestly, part of him just wanted to curl up and cry, another part wanted to punch that thing. Another small part wanted to die. It was all a lot for him in that moment. Not like his tone or gaze betrayed any of that though.

Reyno surveyed Theo as he approached, taken aback by the rude greeting.

What happened to Hi, Hello, I missed you?

“Excuse me?” he snapped, drawing closer, brows furrowing as his tail swished. Reyno didn’t take kindly to disrespect. He unsheathed his claws, readying them at his side, in case Theo decided to get smart and try anything with the sword.

"Get off my fucking property." Well, theoretically it was his dad's property, but by extension it was also his-! No one paid taxes around here anyway, so who cares whose property it is? Actually, Commodus might. But that wasn't important right now. What was important, however, was the fact that something was tresspassing. And he knew for a fact no one would like that.

Oh, how he wished he'd brought the stygian iron sword instead.

“Is that how you always treat returning travelers?” Reyno sneered, circling around Theo curiously.

“Come on, do you really not know who I am? Come closer, darling.” he spat, flashing his fangs. He put a hand on his furry hip, clearly not intimidated at the least.

"Like you'd know anything about returning here." He snapped, keeping his eyes on the stranger. Gods, he wished he had the other sword with him, but he left it in his room. A shame, really.

"Do I look like someone who knows you?! Because I don't-" He pointed his blade at the other.. person? Whatever it was, he pointed his sword at it. "You don't have the right to call me that."

...Or do they? Theo didn't know anymore. And he hated it.

Reyno nonchalantly swiped the blade off to the side, smirking.

“…You’re the last person I expected to not remember who I am.” Atleast that means it worked.

“Think a bit harder, Theo. Anything seem familiar? At all?” his green eyes glinted with malice, getting bored, but still choosing to humor Theo. He tapped his pawed foot impatiently.

Theo felt like he was going to die. Or at the very least pass out. His head felt fuzzy, he was nauseous, just in general he felt like shit. That sword was a gift from his sister. And now he didn't even know if he forgot something or if something put the phantom of lost memories into his head to mess with him-

"Shut up, shut up!" He tried to push Reyno, but ended up shoving himself away like a pathetic loser. He hated this. Hated every moment of it- He coughed a little, his throat feeling dry and his vocal chords a little strained from him raising his voice for a moment.

Reyno was losing patience by the minute, and getting hungrier, and thirstier… basically all the things you didn’t want to make a half-wolf be. Sure, he could run off to who knows where, satiate himself, and come back in less then ten minutes, but who’s to say the little twat wouldn’t have sounded some sort of alarm and run away by the time he’s back?

He chuckled coldheartedly at Theo’s feeble attempt to push him away. He could never imagine looking nearly half as pathetic.

“Awww, that’s cute. Really, you’re entertaining, but this is getting boring.” Reyno drew closer and tapped the top of Theo’s head.

“Use that brain of yours, I’m sure it’s in there… you don’t know a lot of half-wolves, so this should be easy.”

Hate. Hate hate hate. Hate and despair filled Theo, he didn't know what he was hateful towards, himself or whatever made it so he doesn't remember anything about a person he supposedly cares about- was that person even ever real? Did someone like that exist, or has it only been Xan this entire time? Has he been hallucinating, are those phantoms of feelings of lost memories even his? Are they even real? What is real, at this point?

He backed away at the contact, looking geniuinely terrified at it and scratching at his head and ruffling his hair to get rid of the awful phantom of a touch that lingered. He hated this. Hated it with his entire being, this whole situation was just horrible.

"I don't-" He was breathing heavy now, trying not to hyperventilate. He didn't know what was real in his life, sure Fortune Cookie's been.. helping, somehow, but even that magical cat couldn't bring his memories back, he feared, just tell him what was real and what wasn't. "I don't know any half-wolves. I have never known any."

Just stick to the rule of if you don't remember it then it didn't happen, he thought. It was the only thing that could keep him safe and sane, he felt.

Reyno continued to look down and smirk as Theo backed away, enjoying his fear, though a step away from just killing the guy if he continued to- Well, ok, not really. He didn’t know what he expected, he’d asked for a completely memory erasure spell, and that is what he seemed to have gotten. He’d have to go back and pay the price for something to softly bring back everyone’s memory of him, which he was not too enthusiastic about.

He sighed in annoyance. This wasn’t going to work, but he didn’t want to leave. Atleast, not for now.

“Silly Theo. You’ve known a few. Most prominently, me. Though I don’t blame you for forgetting - it’s been a while…” Reyno trailed off, debating whether or not to tell him about the whole forgetting-spell part. Probably not. Theo wasn’t the type to forgive him for something like that, but he didn’t need Theo anyway, not anymore. Especially after finding Charlie.

"If- if you knew me, and were close enough I'd let you call me that," Theo started thinking out loud, almost as if to prove to both himself and Reyno that he was right and those memories, that the son of Achlys felt were missing from his mind, were never there to begin with, "then you'd know I hate physical touch when distressed. And you'd know not to do that to me- you'd know where I get my weapons from and you'd know how important they are to me. You'd know, and if you were close enough to call me that, geniuinely and not mockingly or anything, you'd know and care enough not to do that."

His words felt a little more accusatory now. Like he was gaining confidence in his statements the more he talked. Like his words were proof of his thoughts about the situation.

"And yet you seem to know nothing about me. So no, I don't know you. I've never known you. And I hate you for trying to put things in my head that were never mine."

“Feisty now, are we?” Reyno raised a brow, rolling his eyes.

“I did know that,” he lied. He’d forgotten. Wasn’t his fault he was too focused on escaping Death and fighting for his life to remember what a petty little brat cared about.

“And just because I know, doesn’t mean I care. I mean, I may have used to, but not anymore. I’ve got better things to worry about. The world revolves around me, not you.” he growled, starting to fidget. Something else was on his mind. He didn’t know whether to just finish the conversation and head back to where he was camping out, or draw it out a bit longer. The drama was fun, but potentially being followed back was not. He’d probably notice, and he could fight them off, but he didn’t want to. Not now.

"You called me darling. Obviously you'd care if you call me that. But it feels disgusting coming from your mouth. Like it's covered in slime and lies, like it's been spat on and kicked into the ground, and chewed out before being given to me." And he knew that feeling well. The feeling of nicknames being used in a predatory way. He knew it all too well, and he hated it. He started to scratch at his right arm, to the point where the burning feeling on his skin from the friction turned into the warm trickling of blood. He didn't even care, in all honesty the feeling that he still had blood in his body was one of the only things keeping him convinced he was still a person. Along with the dead skin under his nails, and the way his breathing hitched, the way his vision was still blurred from when he was crying about having forgotten.

Gods, he felt like a little kid. Like a helpless kid that just hoped he was going to have a happy day, just one day without pain was all that kid was asking for, and that wish was never granted. That's what he felt like right now.

He went to pick up his sword. Not to fight, but just to collect it. He couldn't afford to lose it. It was the only reminder of his sister if she ever goes missing again. He grabbed the weapon and clicked a button, making it turn into a necklace again. He put it on and looked at Reyno, and there was nothing behind his eyes. Just... pure apathy. He didn't care about the blood dripping from his arm onto the ground, he didn't care about the stranger in front of him that claimed to know who he was. Honestly, he felt like he was floating in a void.

“Have you heard of a thing called irony? I didn’t mean it. Not everyone means what they say, darling. Thought you’d have learnt this by now.” Reyno sneered, observing Theo scratch at himself.

He straightened as Theo went to grab the sword, relaxing as he didn’t sense any aggression and the sword was put away. The kid didn’t seem to care, but Reyno knew there was something deeper behind those empty eyes. Not that he cared, of course.

The conversation seemed pointless anyway. It’d have to end soon, clearly Theo wasn’t going to remember suddenly or give him any more information. Argo was next, though that one was going to be harder to talk to… he shook his head.

“Fine, you don’t know me, whatever. You weren’t supposed to remember anyway. It’s fine, you’ve served your purpose, can’t really say I need you anymore.”

“Well, let’s just get this over with then. Goodbye. And don’t try sending anyone after me.” he hissed threateningly, slowly backing away on his toes.

He was going to let him leave, honestly. He really was. Not like this guy ever cared about him anyways, it seemed. Not like he was any important. But that one sentence. That little detail. 'You weren't supposed to remember'. That made him approach. Rapidly. Even though he was much shorter than Reyno, he still looked like he wanted to murder him. It didn't stop an anger suddenly starting to burn behind those empty eyes. Suddenly his mind zeroed in on a picture he kept on his nightstand. An old picture, no doubt, of someone important to him. He remembered a sort of fondness, care towards that person, and he remembered sometimes looking at it and wondering when that person would be back, remembered thinking how much he misses them. He didn't doubt he remembered who that person was when he had those thoughts and feelings. He remembered looking at that picture just this morning.

"What's. That. Supposed. To mean." He looked up at Reyno, absolutely boiling on the inside. People making him forget things, messing with his head, was the one boundary he had where he absolutely despised people if they did that. And that seemed to be the case here- but maybe he was being manipulated. Fuck. He grabbed Reyno's arm, he was eerily strong. He started to drag Reyno inside. He needed answers. Right now.

Reyno hissed and threw Theo’s arm off.

“Get your hands off of me!” he yelped, shoving him away as his tail lashed.

Oh brother, this isn’t gonna end well. Reyno thought, sighing in annoyance. He could run away, there was no way the guy could run nearly as fast as he could. But he didn’t want to seem like a coward. Besides, he could always whistle for Charlie if needed.

“What I mean is, if you forgot about me, it’d be best if you didn’t remember. I’m a different person now, I don’t need all of you meddling.” Reyno attempted to save the conversation and clutch this. His ears flicked as he frowned. That didn’t sound very convincing, but maybe, just maybe…

"No." Was the simple answer as he grabbed Reyno again. Not attempting to drag him anymore. But he just. Grabbed him. To make sure he doesn't get away.

"I need answers. And you're going to provide them." His grip on Reyno's arm grew stronger, almost painful. It was clear he had no intention of letting him go anytime soon. "What do you mean I wasn't supposed to remember. What is all of this supposed to mean. Are you the person in the picture I have in my room. Tell me right now. What did you do."

He knew he couldn't let this go, and he hated that. He hated the fact that he was seeking answers that he knew he wasn't going to like. Answers that were only going to make him more miserable. But he needed them. He oh so desperately needed them.

Reyno let out a warning growl as Theo grabbed him yet again. Clearly he’d forgotten how powerful he was. He unsheathed his claws and scratched at Theo’s arm, backing away, though he wasn’t going to try running.

“Oh suuuure, sure I will. I mean, I will, but not because you’re intimidating, but because I want to.” he tapped his pawed foot on the floor.

“I already told you. I didn’t want you remembering me, ok? That’s enough of an answer, ok?” Reyno rubbed his chin at the mention of the picture. His lips cracked into a suggestion of a smile. That, he hadn’t forgotten. Though he sounded an awful lot more like an annoying teenage boy than a grown man who was one of the most powerful half-wolves right now.

Theo didn't seem to care about the new wound on his arm, simply walking over to Reyno and grabbing him again. He could do this all day, he just needed answers right now. "So then tell me. What. Did. You. Do."

He didn't seem to like the words that left the son of Lupa's mouth. He didn't take that as a real answer. He took it as cowardice, as avoiding the truth. And he hated cowardice. "What that is, is an answer a coward would give. I want a real goddamn answer. Not a lie, not avoidamce. I want the truth. Was. That. You. In. That. Picture."

And if so, what was their relationship before and why did this guy decide to ruin it?

Reyno was getting annoyed by Theo’s persistence, wrenching his arm away yet again. He just wanted this over with.

His fur bristled at the mention of cowardice, immediately triggering him. His pupils constricted into slits and his tail bushed up, ears pinning down and fur sprouting from his forearms as he lunged forward -

“I AM NOT A COWARD!!!” he roared, grabbing Theo by the front of his shirt.

“YOU WANT THE TRUTH?!? WELL, HERE’S THE TRUTH THEN!!! I MADE YOU FORGET!!! THATS RIGHT!!! I GOT SOMEONE TO CAST A SPELL TO MAKE YOU ALL FORGET!!! I DID IT!!! THAT IS ME IN THAT PHOTOGRAPH!!! YOU JUST FORGOT BECAUSE IIII WANTED YOU TO!” Reyno snarled, unreasonably angry at the suggestion that he was a coward. He could never, ever, be seen as a coward, and anyone who thought so would probably be disemboweled.

Theo should've flinched. He usually would've flinched. It was his natural reaction to yelling. But right now, he was just so... so numb. He didn't feel anything on the inside aside from rage boiling deep within his very soul, at Reyno's words. This was now the second time someone's messed with his mind like this. The second time. Gods, can people stop doing that?

He grabbed his shirt with both his hands, near where Reyno was holding it, and just ripped the fabric to get himself out of that guy's hold. He didn't want to be touched by that vile creature. The hole revealed a binder that... didn't seem to be binding anything. He turned towards the entrance of the palace and walked over to a servant passing by, telling them something before approaching Reyno again. Until his request was fulfilled, he needed to know some more things- so that he can know what really happened.

"Why?" Was the first thing to leave his mouth. "Just. Why? It feels so wrong. It feels like it's been a long time. Did- did I do something? What even happened?"

Reyno’s ears flicked towards the servant as he eavesdropped on what Theo was requesting. His chest heaved as he turned back, panting, ready to explode any second now.

“You don’t need to know everything, you know. There’s no reason I have to tell you everything. What’re you gonna do? Force me?” he harrumphed, crossing his arms.

“…You didn’t do anything, okay? You’re not the victim. There’s no victims here. I just needed a distraction, I had to leave, I couldn’t have everyone worrying over me, hm? It was necessary,” Rey continued, seeming to slowly calm down. Albeit very slowly.

I wanna go back to Charlie, this twat is taking up all my time… why’d I even bother approaching? Stupid Reyno. You got yourself into this mess.

"I was involved. Messing with my head was involved. I deserve to know why. I deserve to know about that." He insisted, crossing his arms as well- maybe to hide the binder. He didn't know anymore, at this point. Nothing felt real anymore.

"..." Theo let the silence stretch on for a moment. A distraction. Had to leave. Couldn't have anyone worrying. So he was supposed to worry. If he remembered. He was supposed to worry if he remembered. They had to have been close. How close? He didn't know. Maybe this was the mystery boyfriend he forgot that he cried over a few moments ago. "You could've said something. You know, anything instead of this. This invasion. This violation."

It truly felt like he'd been violated. Like his very thoughts were infiltrated and he was stripped of a core part of who he was. He felt so vulnerable, so weak, so exposed. And it was all because of this person.

The servant came back, bringing the picture from Theo's nightstand with them- and then quickly retreating after giving it to Theo. "So then... why? If we were close, which it seems we were, I would've understood. If you just. Said something. Notified me. Did anything. Instead you violated me, and many others."

”Who says you do?” Reyno hissed. This was getting annoying, why couldn’t the little twat just accept what he had to say? After all, Reyno clearly had authority over him. (Atleast, from his point of view.)

He considered whistling for Charlie, but shook his head, knowing by the time he got here he wouldn’t be able to do anything and Theo would probably have gotten into a fight. He was on his own for now, which was fine, he was on his own for the majority of his life.

“This was much more convenient. And it wasn’t an invasion or a violation whatever you’re trying to say, it was needed. You wouldn’t understand. It was just a simple spell to hold your memories back for a while. They’ll come back soon… but probably not for a while.” Reyno shrugged, nonchalant, cooled down but still ready to start a fight.

"I do. I deserve to know what was done to me." He kept his voice steady, though the venom in his tone was concealed extremely thinly. He hated this- hated memory stuff. Hated people who willingly do that. Hated Reyno. He looked at the picture in his hands, at the smiling face of a younger boy that resembled the one standing before him, at what looked to be an autograph. The frame had little hearts glued to it. But it held no meaning anymore. It will never hold any meaning again. It was difficult to read what was written on it, with Theo's dyslexia and all, but finally he figured it out. "...Reyno Solis."

He didn't look up from the picture. So this was the name of the man that ruined his life and view of himself all over again? The one that made him doubt his personhood? Cool. It looks like they were dating before all of this. He had no clue whether he thought they were still dating while Reyno was away. Was Reyno ever away? It sounded like he's been away for a while.

"It is a violation." Theo finally looked up, holding the picture gently still, one hand brushing over it in an almost caring maner. "It feels like someone took a core part of myself. It feels as if someone dug through my sense of self and meddled with it just because they didn't like who I am. It feels as though someone took me in my most vulnerable state, and did whatever they wanted with my memories. It feels like someone took something from me, without me knowing or consenting to it. It feels like someone stole a part of me. So excuse me for feeling like that counts as violating someone. Intruding on their mind."

Reyno observed Theo studying the picture. He couldn’t help the smirk that crept onto his face. Sure, they used to be close, you could say they were ‘best buddies’, but he was a changed man now. People change. This was a lesson he had to learn the hard way - and hopefully it was just as hard for Theo. He had better, more mature people to involve himself with now. Powerful Romans like him. The one group of people he made sure the spell didn’t affect? Camp Jupiter. He had visited, once. Told them where he was going. They knew. They were the only ones who knew, and he trusted them not to spread it.

“Oh, boo hoo, poor you,” Reyno mocked, rolling his eyes.

“Oh, I’m sure it was that serious. Awww, what ever will you do now? Cry about it? Yeah, yeah, I stole all your sense of self! I’m meddling with you! Oooh, I’m gonna take everything from you. Forever. ‘Cuz I’m the most evil person ever.” he went on, pitching up his voice to sound almost like Theo’s. He might have became more serious and coldhearted over the months, but hadn’t lost his cocky sense of sarcasm.

"It was convenient. It was necessary." He held the picture frame tighter, as if it had personally wronged him. He didn't know anything about their relationship, of course held didn't, Reyno made sure he had no idea about it. But if Theo cared enough to keep an old photo of him, framed, and customize it with little hearts, then it definitely was something special. He was almost sure he was dating him before all of this. "Weren't we a thing? You, me, Xan. It would explain the flags in my room.."

"I would've understood if you had just told me." He insisted. He knew he wasn't the best at times, but he also knew that he would understand if his boyfriend had to leave for something. He'd understand if there was just communication. He knew he would, because he knew he'd hate to lose his loves.

There had to be another reason why he made Theo forget instead of telling him what was happening. He didn't like that thought, but if they really were together, then there had to be some other reason why he didn't communicate with him about this. "...what happened while you weren't here?"

“Yes, we were a thing. Key word - were.” Reyno spat, as if the words tasted vile in his mouth. He couldn’t imagine having to get back with… them. During the sort of journey of his, he had seemed to forget about them too - especially when he met Charlie again. He screwed his eyes shut for a split second before opening them again, holding back a sigh as he thought of his mate. Current mate. Sure, he’d loved Theo and Xan almost as much as he’d loved Charlie back in the day, but that was the past. Feelings came and went.

“Yes, maybe you would’ve, but that wouldn’t have prevented worrying and Iris messaging and all those other things. I didn’t need that.” For a second, a split second and not more, he felt something, almost like regret. Almost all his connections would be severed after they found out about this, because Theo would surely spread the word. They might not react harshly as he did, but they would probably distance themselves from him. Too late, though. Besides, all he needed was the Romans. And Charlie.

“…Confidential information. I’m afraid I can’t tell you that, and don’t even try to pester it out of me. It doesn’t affect you in any way.” Reyno hissed, getting defensive. Though he was telling the truth, it had nothing to do with Theo.

"I don't think we ever broke up.. I mean if we did, I wouldn't have this anymore. So- wait, are you literally ending things right now? While I can't even know what we were like? While I can't even know what happened-? Are you serious?" He was holding the picture so tight by now that his arms began to shake from the way his muscles were working, the glass frame cracking slightly. This cannot be real. Don't get him wrong, he wouldn't want to be with someone who willingly harmed other people's minds for convenience, but honestly he'd at least like to know what might've happened between them.

"Wouldn't it? Because I'm pretty sure I respect my loved ones' wishes. Sure I'd worry but I trust people I care about, you should know that. You would've had as much space as you could've possibly wanted." He looked at the picture again. Gods, he hated how happy Reyno looked there. Hated how great he looked. Hated how he probably used to love him with all his being. Hated how if you'd have asked him yesterday he'd have probably given all of his goddamn organs for this man.

Suddenly, he swung his arm and sent the picture flying directly at Reyno's head. He was so... so done. He wanted to either go back to his room or kill that man with his own hands. "Confidential my ass. Sounds like coward talk."

Reyno observed. “…I guess I have to. You wouldn’t want someone who invades peoples minds anyway. I’ve already found myself a new mate.” he shrugs, enjoying what he thinks is flexing in Theo’s face but is really just admitting how shitty of a person he is.

“Maybe I could’ve talked to you about it, hypothetically, but what about the others? You’re not the only one. And not everyone would consider my words.” He glanced over at the picture, hating how huge his stupid grin was. Was that - his signature? Really? He didn’t sign anything, not anymore, much less stupid photos of him. He looked drunk in that darn photo. To think he’d given out autographs…

He lost his train of thought as the picture flew towards his head. Reyno let out a harsh, threatening growl, pupils constricting again. He whistled, knowing Theo would pay no mind and take it as a usual whistle of ‘you’ve-really-done-it-now’, but really it was for Charlie.

And at the mention of cowardice, he snapped, grabbing the picture off the floor and lunging towards Theo, pinning him to the ground and whacking him across the head with it repeatedly.

“DON’T. YOU. TALK TO ME. LIKE THAT. ARRRRGGGH!” Reyno roared, fury in his eyes. He was tired of this stupid conversation, all the questions, and now this?

"You're right. I hate you." The statement came out flat and simple, like it was obvious. Because to Theo, it was the most obvious thing in the world. He could never see himself associated with a person who does things like that to people for convenience. He hated this- and he hated how he didn't exactly have anything to go off of for his anger aside from what happened today. And while yes this was way more than enough for him to hate this and hate Reyno, but he would definitely feel way more justified in this if he had more context, if maybe he could look back at their relationship and see if there were any other signs that he missed. "Add cheating to the list. Cool."

Not that the entire thing phased him at this pont. This was essentially a stranger breaking up with him and telling him he got cheated on, essentially. And he couldn't even check the facts because he had no memory of this stranger- so he just had to either take everything at face value or deny anything ever happening that he's told until his memories are supposed to come back. And gods, he wished he could just ignore it all, the physical proof that he just threw at his ex made it impossible to ignore.

Reyno was right about Theo not caring much about the whistle, but in all honesty Theo didn't care much about anything Reyno did, at this point. He was just glad that he could never see this vile being's face ever again once they're done here. Honestly he wanted to go home right now, but he didn't really expect Reyno to throw himself at him and start beating the shit out of him with that old picture.

"Were you always this easy to anger? Why'd I even bother with you?" He mocked, seeing the irony of the small glass shards getting stuck in his head with each hit, seeing how he was starting to look a little like his sister when she died.

Reyno continued to growl as Theo spoke, dominant right arm turning into the arm of his wolf form, which meant he was close to being angered enough to turn into his wolf form. He was busy growling and trying to look threatening to roll his eyes at the comment about cheating.

Atleast Theo wasn’t as mad as he would’ve been if he’d kept his memories. The situation hadn’t fully escalated into a fight, as he had now slid the shattered picture aside and just held Theo onto the ground, heart hammering in his chest.

Charlie was on his way, but at this rate it’d take him 30 minutes to get here, as he only had slightly enhanced speed, unlike Reyno’s wolf legs. He shook the hair out of his face, hoping that either Theo would leave him or wait until then to truly fight. He could easily beat Theo alone, he’d already done it once, but he wanted Charlie to see, unsure why. Just - wanted him there.

“You’d be easy to anger too if you’d been through what I’ve gone through these past few months - not even then, my entire life. You might have it hard, but not nearly as hard as I do.” Reyno spat, close enough to Theo’s face to see all his features in detail. He awaited a change in his eyes - hopefully fear.

The child of Achlys didn't seem to care about anything Reyno did, knowing he'll somehow survive this- and maybe that was one part he didn't like. Just maybe. It was either that or being completely indifferent to whatever happens to him, and he didn't know which was worse, honestly. He glanced briefly at Reyno's werewolf arm, making nothing of it. He knew something would happen, he knew he'd at the very least need stitches or something, might as well have fun with it.

"Aw, why'd you stop? C'mon, the piercings are so nice..." He said, pointing to his face before resting his hand on his necklace. He had no intention of opening it, at least not yet, he didn't even think about that- he's just kind of grown used to resting his hand like that. He hadn't even realized that was the sword necklace.

"What?" He stared at his ex boyfriend, not exactly sure what he was trying to accomplish by just holding him there. To Theo, it didn't really serve any purpose. Why not just leave or keep beating him up? It made no sense. "What are you still holding me for? Trying to lull me to sleep? Want me to take a nap?"

"And you're edgy." Not that it was a bad thing, but here? He'll take any chance to dig at Reyno. "I mean seriously, comparing issues? That's actually the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. Gods, how bad was my self esteem that I dated you?"

Reyno’s tail lashed as he glared down at Theo, swallowing bile down his throat. His chest heaved as he decided, if they did end up fighting, whether he should kill him or run away. Though, Theo seemed very intent at making him seem like a coward, so it looked like he wouldn’t be able to show mercy here.

He looked down at Theo’s necklace. Of course - the sword… he could whip it out at a moments notice. Though he didn’t care, as turning into a werewolf was much more useful than a mere sword. He’d survived countless sword wounds over the years, it was second nature to him at this point. He decided to keep quiet, though he knew he could easily wrench it away.

“To prepare the both of us for the beating I’m about to give you,” Reyno hissed into Theo’s ear, every sarcastic remark bringing him closer to fully wolfing out, as if he wasn’t doing the same thing earlier.

He snarled and swiped at Theo’s face with his wolf arm at that last comment, bringing his claws down atop his face and dragging them down, fangs precariously close to biting his nose off or gouging an eye out.

"Ew, get your face away from me. Your breath stinks." He used his free hand to push Reyno's face away from himself, or at least be very annoying while trying to do so. "Seriously, take a breath mint before you get close to anyone. Jesus..."

He didn't really seem to be bothered by this situation, his eyes remained empty, and they will likely remain empty for at least a week... Or until he sees Xan. He'd probably cry if he sees his boyfriend. His actual boyfriend, the one that cares about him and actually loves him. The one that's always been there for him and that's never abandoned him. The one that's never wiped his memory, the one that's never cheated. Even having no memory of what the relationship between him and Reyno was, he couldn't fathom how in the everloving fuck he ended up dating him. It seemed like something only a desperate person would do.

"Dude. That's so corny. Are you stalling?" He stared at Reyno, suddenly stopping in his tracks as he believed he figured out what was happening- that is, until he got clawed in the face. That made him come back to reality real fast.

With blood all over his face now, getting in his eyes, he had to blink and wipe his face to get his vision back, which only seemed to worsen the situation, the wound burned. Some of his blood got into his mouth and he tasted the sweetly metallic taste of poison mixed in with human blood on his tongue. "Bleh-" He blindly stretched his arms out, attempting to push Reyno away from him at least, and hoping to push the other demigod off of him so he could stand up.

Reyno snarled yet again in Theo’s bloody face, knowing that his breath didn’t really stink. If it did, he would smell it, he could smell his own breath whenever he spoke, due to his enhanced senses. You get used to it. This was simply what the kids called ‘ragebait’.

Hopefully after this was over he would be left alone. Knowing Theo, he’d probably tattle to everyone and send a bunch of angry demigods after him. Which sucked. But that was something to worry about later.

He ignored the ‘corny’ comment, simply pressing down his muscular body more atop Theo’s chest, holding him down. It would’ve been romantic if not for the current situation at hand. He planted his hands onto the ground shoulder-width, staying steady as his tail lashed and his claws dug into the floor, wishing they were in Theo’s eyes.

“Any other move you wanna make?” Reyno taunted as he held Theo down. Though this was getting boring, so he’d probably have to relax and let Theo stand at some point, so they could have a proper fight.

Surprising as it may be, Theo hated the taste of blood. Especially his own blood, because the poison made it taste even weirder. He did not like it in his eyes even more, shutting them for a few seconds to maybe help with that and after he opened them again he just kept rapidly blinking to keep the liquid out of his eyes.

Gods how he wished he could either go inside or kill Reyno right there and then, and there was no in between for his situation. He couldn't accept an outcome where he sees that face for more than he needs to, and he certainly couldn't accept an outcome where he has to see that face ever again after today.

He kept trying to push Reyno off of himself, though his efforts will likely be futile, and his vision was so extremely blurred that he could barely see, and he felt like if he sustains any more wounds he's going to start bleeding so much that this entire situation will have a timer on it until he loses consciousness from blood loss.

"Yeah, actually-" He bared his fangs and spat, trying to expel some venom onto Reyno's face- he failed, since he's never done this before, but there was definitely some venom dripping from his fangs. He didn't shoot it out like he expected, it just sort of dripped sadly back into his mouth, but at least he knew that doing something like this might be possible.

Reyno smirked at Theo’s feeble attempts to blink the blood out of his eyes. He wanted to make a show of it and lick it off, but he luckily knew there was poison in there. The smell was strong anyway, easily detectable, as he was used to the smell of regular blood.

At this point, he wasn’t sure if it was a fight to kill or just a fight to scare the other person off. He’d treat it as a fight to kill - just in case. He licked his lips at the thought of Theo begging for mercy, finally realizing why (mostly) everybody was so scared of him.

He lightly slapped Theo on the other, unwounded cheek as he tried to push Reyno off. He stayed put, starting to apply pressure to Theo’s chest, hopefully making him lose some breath. He could crush him, but decided not to. Not yet.

As Theo attempted to spit on him, Reyno laughed, genuine laughter with a mix of pity somewhere in the back.

“Awww, is that the best you can do? Wow, that’s pathetic. Really. Y’know, I expected you to atleast try.” Though sarcastic, his words dripped with malice.

“Let me show you how to really do it.” he hissed, spitting directly into Theo’s wound, saliva dripping from his mouth.

Gods Theo didn't want to fight. Not when all he had was the sword in the necklace, instead of the stygian iron one he got from Eleos. That at least would've added a fear factor to this entire thing. He regretted ever leaving his room without it. He knows he can't be taking it to school, but come on! He could've went back to grab it before going outside tonight. He didn't even want to think aboout anything at the moment, he just needed to make sure he survives. And it didn't help that it was late, so he knew he couldn't scream- he'd hate to wake anyone up. He knew he had to deal with this alone, he knew he had to prove one last time that he wasn't a coward, that he wasn't harmless, that he could protect himself perfectly well.

He had no idea how long he could last like this, didn't know what would happen next- he just knew that some people would like for him to get out of this alive, even if he didn't really care much for it. And that was a goal he needed to accomplish. Even if he ends up losing, he needed to make sure to stay alive for some people who chose to care about him, even if he didn't know why anyone would do that.

The wound burned even more when the spit got into it, gods that was dedfinitely infected... but it's alright... the medics at the palace should be able to help him with that. They've gotten him out of worse situations, right? It should be fine. It should be all okay.

"Do you always talk so much? Man." Suddenly he got an idea, with the hand that was still resting on the necklace, he used the fact that Reyno was so close to him, he decided to press the button, extending the object into its weapon form. "Boo."

Reyno was about to snap a remark at the last comment, seeing how Theo was the one making him angry purposely throughout this, when the sword suddenly struck his shoulder.

His eyes widened. How did he not see this coming? Should’ve broke the necklace when he had the chance. Though he could still break the sword. He didn’t hiss from pain, just surprise, as he transformed into his wolf self, rolling off of Theo and kicking him aside, hackles raised as he wrenched the sword out of his shoulder, blood spurting out of the wound as it clattered to the ground.

He let out a low growl, ears twitching as he detected footsteps nearby. His heart fluttered as someone walked towards him.

Just in time.

Charlie was almost as tall as human Reyno, around six-foot-five, with broad shoulders and a burning gaze as he rushed over. His blue-grey eyes observed the scene, his own tail twitching, light brown to match his hair. He had similar wolf ears to Reyno, though his were shorter and one was bent awkwardly at the tip. He had long light brown hair up to his chin and a slightly chubby build, though still strong. His mouth seemed to slightly droop on his right, though it had nothing to do with his worried expression. He’d also brought his own weapon, a dark grey sword, slightly short but still sharp, now aimed towards Theo as he approached.

Reyno acknowledged Charlie with a subtle tail wag, before turning back to Theo as blood dripped all over his shoulder, staining his fur. It didn’t hurt as much as it used to, but was still inconvenient.

“WHAT DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING?!?”

As Theo was thrown away, he slid across the ground and hit it, hard. He used this opportunity to stand up and retreat a little towards the entrance of the palace, knowing he can't run like a coward but he might also scare Reyno a little. He didn't know whether his ex knew about the stygian iron blade he kept in his room, he supposed he did, but that didn't stop him from spotting a late shift worker walking by, some harpy that was very likely under Delilah, and waving them over, without looking away from the scene. "Φέρε μου το σπαθί μου." He said to the worker, who nodded, he was still considered a respectable member of the household, after all. Not much the harpy could do aside from listen to him, and so she left the scene. Even if she thought the better course of action was to bring him into the infirmary immediately to treat the massive gashes on his face.

For now, he supposed he had to manage without a weapon, since he knew he couldn't exactly retrieve the sword if it was so close to Reyno. He didn't want to get more injured- gods some people were going to get so worried when he goes back inside like this. But he didn't care, at this point nothing really phased him much aside from the fact that someone literally wiped his memories and betrayed him while they were at it, so he felt like crap in general.

He glanced in the direction of the newcomer, gods was that the new 'mate'? Also, wow he hated that term. It felt weird. Disgusting. Like some odd stuff someone would put in a crappy fantasy book about werewolves. Did he really use to let that guy call him that? "Oh, you know, just. Fighting my ex. On Christmas. As a treat." He said, not exactly scared- quite the opposite. The adrenaline pumping throough his system was making him furious and honestly a little courageous. Confident. Making him believe he could get out of this alive.

Reyno eyed Theo as he retreated slightly, knowing the twat would probably try to sneak inside and get his entire family to jump him and Charlie. His eyes narrowed as he stalked closer. He’d probably asked the harpy to bring him a weapon, probably his sword, that one he’d had in his room - so he had to act fast before it was delivered.

He grabbed Theo yet again and bodyslammed him before ducking and rolling away, Charlie dashing forward to slash at his legs before coming back to Reyno, standing beside him, sword at the ready.

“Try to stay out of this as much as you can,” he whispered into Charlie’s ear, though it was still audible because you can’t really whisper as a wolf. It was more of a low tone. Charlie nodded, backing away slightly as Reyno turned back towards Theo.

“Maybe you should consider why he’s your EX.” Charlie grinned, though it only seemed to be on one side of his face. Most would find him unattractive, but Reyno saw his potential. Reyno stood at the ready, fangs flashing as he readied for Theo’s next move.
