I am a little surprised Connor/Markus isn't more popular a ship. Like they're both objectively gorgeous, Connor has his little heart eyes moment watching Markus' speech which is followed by immediately lying to Hank when asked if there's anything else he wants to tell him (sure it's supposed to be implied Connor was omitting the fact that Markus is an RK prototype like him, but that's just subtext), and Markus is genuinely warm and caring with Connor immediately in a way no other character in the game is especially when first meeting him. There's also the symbolic Yin and Yang, lightness and darkness, opposite sides thing they have going on.

Sure they have maybe five minutes total screen time together, but it's a hell of a lot more than some other popular pairings lol.

this was initially gonna be like a 3 panel comic. but i was like i'm already drawing like three panels, that's like 3 frames. just add like 5 or so more and i got an animatic easy peasy!!! it was not easy peasy. i spent an obscene amount of time on this hahahahah

people have started misinterpreting me in the notes so to clarify: i'm not complaining about individual authors writing characters with preferences about what sex acts they want to perform. i'm saying when there is an obvious consensus across dozens of different fic authors that they are having penetrative sex and one guy always tops and one guy always bottoms based on nothing but vibes, that doesn't happen in a vacuum and often betrays a certain reading of the characters that i sometimes disagree with. anyway thank you all for enjoying the phrase "yaoi scurvy" i'm very proud of it

i'm so tired of the yaoi-ification of mlm ships where people feel the need to make one of them (usually the fandom-assigned bottom) into a teeny tiny waifish twink and the other into a huge musclebound super aggro guy (usually the fandom-assigned top) i know this is like a thing many people have been saying for years but i just feel like it has never actually gotten better in fandom spaces. the fatphobia of it, the gender essentialism, the homophobia, it's all so fucking annoying it makes me want to scream
