How does the orginal picture dare to separate them. We fixed it. Crowley, does your angel has that look beacuse of where your hand is? Cheeky!
If you fancy a weekend of Ineffable Husbands, just join our fan-run, nice and accurate Good Omens Ineffable Husbands convention @theineffablecon!
The Ineffable Con:
An Aziraphale/Crowley Good Omens fan convention
October 18-20 2019, High Wycombe, UK
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN:
http://theineffablecon.org.uk/reg.php
We are very excited to announce The Ineffable Con, a Good Omens convention that focuses on the relationship of Aziraphale and Crowley, but welcomes all characters and pairings.
Let us tempt you…. This convention is fan-run and will be a comfortable small circle where you can chat with other fans, cosplay, play games, do quizzes and discuss your fandom for an entire weekend. The venue is a self-contained residential conference centre, which gives us a lovely enclosed feel like a massive house party.
The Ineffable Con will offer activities from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon and we invite you to cosplay, to bring your fandom crafts to sell, to do panels and to just lounge with us.
Some of the highlights are:
A full schedule of panels, talks and games covering the book, show and the fandom
Art show and contest (see http://theineffablecon.org.uk/art.php)
A vid show
A cosplay competition
For those able to stay after closing on Sunday, an outing to Tadfield
The Location:
Lane End Conference Centre, nr High Wycombe, near London, UK
The Date:
Friday 18th October - Sunday 20th October 2019, Friday evening - Sunday afternoon
Cost: £275, which includes the convention, two nights’ en suite accommodation and all meals from dinner Friday to lunch on Sunday.
If you wish, you can also extend your stay to include Sunday night for an additional £95. This includes accommodation and breakfast but not dinner on the Sunday night (if you are coming on the Tadfield outing, we will eat there at individual expense).
Due to the nature of the venue we have to fill bedrooms in order to secure the function space. Once we have enough bookings to claim the space we need, we will open up a *limited number* of day tickets. These will cost £175 and include the convention, lunches and dinners. Watch our social media for announcements!
We only have 43 bedrooms available, so sign up now to secure your spot.
Has temptation been accomplished? You can sign up on our website at http://theineffablecon.org.uk/reg.php
And if you have any questions or ideas, drop us a line via any of our social media or at [email protected]
Yeah, so I’m officially co-chairing another convention. In three months’ time. This is fine.
Since we are full of heavenly love for fandom, meet-ups and conventions, we are planning to organise a Good Omens convention!
Let us tempt you… It would be a fan-run, low key meet-up that focuses on the Aziraphale/Crowley relationship but is certainly open to all characters and pairings.
Due to the possibility of the nearing Brexit-pocalypse (appropriate, no?) we decided to do the convention quickly, but that won’t mean it’s rushed or careless.
We have a fantastic venue at Lane End Conference Centre (which was probably never home to a satanic order of nuns), which lends itself perfectly to small fan gatherings like this one.
The organisers have lots of experience in running similar cons in the Star Trek and Merlin fandoms - including at this venue - and are really excited to bring this format to celebrate the apocalypse.
So, here are some points about The Ineffable Con:
Location: High Wycombe, near London, UK
Date: Friday 18th October - Sunday 20th October 2019, Friday evening - Sunday afternoon
Costs: 300 Pounds (Ouch, we know, but it includes two nights’ en suite accommodation and all meals during the convention)
Content: Ineffable Husbands Book and TV adaption themed Open to all characters and pairings, but with a focus on the Aziraphale/Crowley relationship Quiz Cosplay Disscussions and Awwwwing Art contest (as long as we have enough willing arting participants) and and and
If temptation has been accomplished, please let us know and we’ll work a minor miracle to get this going. We only need 20 people to make this financially viable!
And if you’re an arty type who may be interested in designing a logo, please get in touch for mor information! TheIneffableCon [at] gmail.com
Are we out of our minds? Yep. Welcome to the end times!
The... biology... of... Vulcans... as presented by David Attenborough in The Private Life of Vulcans. The winning entry of the Amok Time Reloaded vid contest at KiScon 2017, which I co-created with @larissabernstein. This was the most fun thing to collaborate on, ever. Much <3 to @larissabernstein for devising the competition and giving us the excuse to work on this!

KiScon 2017 Update #2
Hello K/S fans!
Spring seems to be springing, slowly but surely, up here in the northern hemisphere, and there’s now just six short months to go to KiScon 2017. It seems to be coming up fast! We’re getting very excited – OK, let’s face it, we’ve been excited since we started planning the con!
KiScon 2017 is timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the airing of Amok Time and we shall be celebrating that slashiest of episodes in different ways throughout the weekend.
We have an update for you today that contains some useful information for making your travel plans as well as getting involved in the convention!
I’ve just returned from the excellent @escapadecon and am now really looking forward to co-chairing KiScon again, starting six months today!! (Eek!!)
KiScon is always fun - there is nothing like squeeing over exactly the same thing with 50 of your closest friends - but this one will be extra special for me as I will be moving to Australia a few days later. That means it might be my last US con, at least for a while. Come and hang with me in LA this September!
KiScon Update
Happy 2017 K/S fans!
As it’s now 2017, we thought we’d send you our first update for KiScon 2017 with information about some of the things you might want to start planning.
We are thrilled that we already have 40 members – 28 attending and 12 supporting. This is great news this far out - anyone who has run a con will tell you that typically half of the registrations happen in the last two months, so this number bodes well! It also means that the initial hotel deposit that Rhaegal put down has now been covered, so thank you for your willingness to support us from the outset. We really appreciate it.
We have put out a call for new vids for the vid show. In addition, we have decided to hold a competition for new Amok Time-themed vids with members voting on their favorite. So, if you’re a vidder, please consider entering the contest. We’re especially interested in seeing new and interesting takes on this much-vidded episode: any new spins on this episode or the themes of Vulcan or pon farr are very welcome. Vid submissions for this or our standard Classics or Disco/Singalong shows can be made at http://kiscon.org/vid.php
We will also be holding a cosplay contest at the Babel Banquet on Saturday night. If you’re thinking about making a costume, as we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Amok Time, it would be great to see people in costumes inspired by that episode or Vulcan in general. Other costumes are of course also welcome, and wearing a costume is by no means required!
For those of you arriving Thursday, there will be an organized trip in the afternoon to visit Leonard Nimoy’s grave, which is a short drive from the hotel. There will also be arrangements for dinner later that evening. We will be in touch about the details in later con updates.
If you want to start making your travel arrangements, you can now book your hotel room at the con rate of $139 per room per night using the link at http://kiscon.org/venue.php
This rate is valid from three days before the convention until three days afterwards, in case you want to extend your stay in Los Angeles.
We’ve heard from a number of you that you’d like to find people to share a room with. Rhaegal has created a page on the website that is only visible to those with the link, which we’ve included in our latest update to members. If you’re looking for a room-mate, just add your con name and email address for others to see, and you can email each other to organize. A reminder that the room rate is for up to four sharing. Roll-away beds are available at a cost of $10 each, but can only fit into rooms that have one bed.
Please get in touch if you have any questions, and we look forward to seeing you in September!
Amanda & Rhaegal
KiScon 2017
Just a reminder that our membership price rises by $10 after this Saturday, October 15th! To benefit from the lower rate of $130, register on our website and make sure we receive your payment by Saturday October 15th (for checks, we’ll take anything postmarked by that date).
You can also defer the cost by signing up for a supporting membership for $40. If we receive this by October 15th you will be able to upgrade later by paying the difference at the original lower rate.
Thank you to everyone who has signed up so far! We’ve had a great response and I’ve already almost recouped the hotel deposit. We have some great Spirky goodness planned for this convention and can’t wait to see lots of you there!
I uploaded the opening ceremony video from Kismet 2016, in which Kirk and Spock check out K/S conventions.
Announcing: KiScon 2017!
We are thrilled to announce that KiScon is returning to Los Angeles 15-17 September 2017, and membership is open! We will be celebrating 50 years since the airing of Amok Time on 15 September 1967 – that slashiest of episodes that launched a thousand fanfics!
We’ll be spending the weekend reminding ourselves why we love this fandom so much through a strong program of panels and talks, a fabulous art show and auction, and a wonderful vid show and sing-along. We’ll also be hosting the Babel Banquet on Saturday night, during which members will vote on the best costume in the cosplay contest. The emphasis is on fun, so we’ll start the con with icebreakers and games in the Opening Ceremony, and in addition to the program, we’ll have lots of quizzes, games and a caption contest with prizes for each throughout the weekend.
Membership to KiScon is $140, and includes all three days of programming, a membership pack to include the con zine and a DVD of the vid show, plus lots of other goodies and a lovely meal on Saturday night. If you book before 15 September 2016, you can get a discounted membership of just $130.
KiScon will be held at the LAX Holiday Inn where we’ve negotiated a discount room rate of $139 per night for up to four people per room. If you’re flying in, we’re just a stone’s throw from the airport. The rate is also available for three days either side of the con, so if you’re from out of town, you can spend time being a tourist! We’ve booked out all the function space, which means we’ll have complete privacy for the entire weekend!
If you can’t make the convention, please consider supporting the con. With the passing of the Great Recession, all hotels have ramped up their booking fees since we were last in the city, so while we’re working to a tight budget, every little extra in the coffers helps! Supporting Membership is $40, for which you’ll receive the convention membership pack, and the satisfaction of knowing that some of it will be donated to the con charity (to be voted on at the con), and you’re also helping a great fandom event. The wonderful thing is, if you change your mind and decide to come to the con, you can convert to the full membership at the rate when you initially supported.
Further details about KiScon and how to book the hotel is available at our website: kiscon.org.
We look forward to seeing you next year at KiScon 2017!

Just an PSA that the discounted rate of $130 is being extended for another month to 15 October 2016 because Amanda and I have been traveling and forgot to send out reminders that it was supposed to end today. Oops. So if you’ve been procrastinating: here! a whole nother month to get the discounted rate on this awesome celebration of 50 years of pon farr!
Happy K/S Day! Amok Time aired for the first time 49 years ago today. And since 49 is divisible by 7, Kirk and Spock are keeping each other busy tonight... To commemorate the occasion, this is my love letter to Old Married Spirk, in vid form.
September 8th, 2016.
That K/S turbolift scene in Beyond...
I thought the K/S in Beyond was pretty muted (as Simon Pegg said it would be), but there is one scene I can’t get out of my head and I need to talk about it. Spoilers (kinda) below the cut...
