I saw this tweet(yes Ik twitter is a terrible place) about how Kokichi is the Jax of v3 and that irked my soul SO BAD.
Let me begin with the fact that yes, Kokichi is a jerk throughout the game. Constantly causing conflict, ratting people out, causing distrust, leading to Miu and Gonta dying, and all of the chapter 5 fight before he strikes the deal with Kaito. Not to mention the lying throughout the game.
Jax was also a jerk, but also abusive to the other castmembers, especially gangle, even leading to Ribbit abstracting and a debate could be made about Jax helping push Kaufmo to abstraction. Also, the misogyny from Jax throughout the show.
The BIGGEST difference between these two characters, ignoring the misogyny aspect because as far as I know(please educate me if I have forgotten a scene) Kokichi isn't misogynistic, is their enviroments.
Kokichi is in an active killing game. Him lying and creating a facade of being a powerful leader, going as far to him claiming to be the mastermind, while it was an insane claim, could be understood. He's one of the smaller members of the killing game, a route to take so he could live longer was to make a facade, because truly if he didn't act as confident and powerful as he did, I do not believe Miu would be the first to act against him.
As well as that, the goal in his mind was a goal that benefitted everyone, finding the mastermind then ending the game--even if that ended up failing in the end.
Going back to Jax, he had no reason to harrass, bully, and abuse the cast members he was with. Sure, he wanted to escape the circus but being murdered or dying was not a looming threat. The only threat close to what Kokichi and the members of Danganronpa in general were going through was the threat of abstraction. Even abstraction could be prevented with the use of being grounded and supported in the circus. Which Jax had went against.
I'm not writing this to say that Kokichi is a Saint from heaven, but It irks me with the amount of people online saying that Kokichi and Jax are such similiar characters when in reality, they really aren't. The only similarity that I can really see is the fact that they strum up drama throughout their game/show.
I find it really irritating when people call you edgy or rag on you when you say you relate to Dazai from Bungou stray dogs or look at him for inspiration in a way because a lot of people who don't watch the anime or read the manga will just think "haha you relate to/ look up to a suicidal/emo man." Like sure, but I do find him as a message that you can change as a person even if you doubt yourself as he subtly does throughout the show. I find it beautiful that even if he's searching for a meaning for life, he took Odasaku's wish to heart and tried to change to be a better person in order to find that meaning of life.
So this was inspired after I saw a tweet mischaracterizing Kokichi by comparing him to another character and I might write a post about that after this one, but I wanna talk about Chapter 4 V3 and Chapter 5 THH because I wanna see if I'm just seeing similarities when they aren't there or if I'm cooking.
To start, in THH Chapter 5, the canon route of the game is Kyouko throwing Makoto as the culprit in order to find the Mastermind of the game. Throughout the game, Kyouko had wanted to find the Mastermind, and if I remember correctly, it was her main goal. Such a goal that she was willing to risk Makoto's life not thinking he'd be saved.
Now to compare this to Chapter 4 of V3 may be crazy but hear me out. Throughout the game as well, Kokichi also had a goal of finding the mastermind, though in chapter four it began to shift to ending the killing game. With this goal being so strong in his mind, after hearing and finding out that Miu was planning on killing him with no chance of surviving if her plan went through, his only solution was to enlist someone who would trust him, the only option at this point was Gonta.
This obviously led to Kokichi throwing someone else into a execution in order to fulfill his goal. While I'm not saying I agree with what Kokichi did this chapter, I did find similarities with what he and kyouko did, at least in the trial, but there are some differences as well--obviously.
While I'm not here to compare the situations and characters involved back to back, I did see the similarities of Kokichi's and Kyouko's motives. I think this is why I have Kokichi as a favorite character in my mind because I can understand the motivations of what he did, even if Gonta was unfortunately taken because of that

You guys don’t understand how much I love these two ships. Like ishimondo could’ve been so peak, dare I say I’d love a little bit of a toxic or unhealthy ishimondo but even if it’s 100% healthy the dynamic goes crazy. And Leosaya will always be peak in my heart, it also makes the first chapter that much heart breaking because imagine you killed your girlfriend without knowing you guys even met yet omg </3 it’s a shame I can find almost no content for the ship on ao3
Literally! I remember seeing a headcanon of Ishimondo which was that they were dating before the amnesia or wtvr, which is why their souls became so close as friends so quickly. IM RUNNING WITH THAT😭
Now I have an image to the parents when they find out their son killed people since that’s 100% the story Mira would be spreading to save their own kids reputation
It’s always a jumpscare when someone on ao3 comments on my SaiOuma fic that I’ve been writing since the summer before freshman year that only has ten chapters. Like YES you like my fic but… why?😭

I never thought my fixation on among is would ever come back to this degree to be honest, I am SO tempted to write a fic based off of Blue and Lime because I love that ship💔 Blue could have anyone on that ship but TRUST he wants the rugged engineer.
You could never convince me Geto and Gojo never met during that TEN YEAR PERIOD. What happened in those meetings isn’t my business but come on… ain’t no way you could spell Getou after ten years. And if he could it’s definitely because he kept like an article of clothing that smelled liked Getou.
It irks me when someone is talking about how they suspect something is wrong with them mentally, whether it’s smth like depression or anxiety or a personality disorder, and they immediately get hated on. I could understand it if they’re approaching it with the sense of “oh. I HAVE this disorder” instead of “I feel like something is wrong with me and this kind of Aligns with it.” Because that’s one thing, or doing it online because that’s kind of iffy.
But if someone is whole heartedly talking about some issues they have trusting you personally and you immediately start yelling at them saying
“you don’t know what you’re talking about”
“You’re overreacting”
I feel that could discourage people from trying to reach out for help again. Maybe I’m wrong with this take but it just irks me.
I dont really under why people hate on gacha games so much, (Gacha life, club, etc) because like.. yes I’m 17 and YES I have and use Gacha life two because I can’t draw for shit and it helps me visualize characters🙏

I feel like you can tell if I’m getting obsessed with a piece of media based off of my activity on Tumblr. Like when I’m CONSTANTLY on this app when I want more media based off of something I’m interested in. Then I’m gone for like…. Months.
It’s taking me a bit longer to write my Blime fic for my ao3 so I’m writing a shorter one here<3

Lime shortly left after Blue had took his body scan, he disliked how Blue had to wait a hour at least for the physical copy of the scan to print, but he’d come back by the time that hour ended. That’s what he told himself.
During that time, he roamed through the vents of the skeld. Not really with a plan, even if he had a plan he wasn’t great at navigating ironically enough. Admittedly, he lost track of the time when he popped up into security where Red, Purple, Orange, and Green resided.
He wasn’t given the chance to really ask what was going on as Purple quickly asked whether he could reach Medbay using the vents, which he could, and Red quickly changed ideas, switching to Red navigating green using a map. Though he did gather the fact that he needed to check on Blue. Which concerned him a small amount since Blue was the only one on this crew ship whom he trusted, even if it was just a little.
Even with Red’s help, he was misguided into the storage room, scaring Black and Cyan in the process.
With Purple’s help, he finally made it to the medbay vent. Lime pushed the vent up and slowly crawled out to be greeted by the sight of Blue just staring into the wall. Lime waved into the camera before inching closer to Blue, before finally placing his hand on their shoulder and turning them around.
They were dead. All they could get out of their mouth was a scream. Blue’s body finally fell to the ground.
Trust was a construct yes, but out of all the people on the ship, Lime trusted blue. Lime would never admit this out loud, but he enjoyed Blue’s company, would even go as far to say he viewed him as a…friend?
Even if he wanted to tell Blue, he lost the opportunity to ever be able to. His throat grew tight as he knelt down to Blue’s body. They hated this. They never liked being vulnerable, whether that’s because them being vulnerable would be used to sell their organs or if being vulnerable would be used against them, it didn’t matter.
No one was here. The cameras were off. It was fine. Lime felt a tear roll down his cheek. For a brief moment, he forgot all about the scan result needing to be destroyed.
This brief moment of grief was ended when Lime heard someone—likely red— walking down the hall. Lime jolted up to erase that he truly cared. For all he knew the alien would use it against him.
