Oh absolutely
hi babes i’m back
hey, how are you? hope everything is okay.
i have a request to make. something like rhea and reader are friends. reader has a boyfriend, but he doesn't know how to satisfy her, so reader is frustrated, tried to get off alone, rhea catches her in the act and well...she is a friend who wants to help
maybe sub!reader, dom!rhea, dirty talk, some sort of degredation and stuff like that
ps: sorry if something is wrong. english is not my first language
SHE DANCES ON MY TONGUE
summary: rhea finally gets the chance to taste you.
pairings: rhea ripley x fem!reader
warnings: cheating
you stared up at the ceiling, rhetorical silence in the bedroom louder than your thoughts. beside you, your boyfriend ethan was already snoring, completely oblivious to the feeling tightening your chest. it was the same routine as always. you guys had sex, he finished, he rolled over, and he went to sleep, leaving you stranded in a desert of unfulfilled frustration.
you felt that familiar, aching heat in your lower belly, that pleasure that never quite materialized. you sighed, shifting to your side and pulling the duvet tighter around yourself. you remembered the conversations you had tried to have with him, the hesitant suggestions whispered in the dark or the slightly more direct talks over coffee. you had tried to guide his hands, tried to explain what you needed, what you liked and turned you on, but it was like speaking a language he refused to learn.
ethan was gentle, sure, but he was clumsy and lacked the instinct to help you with your own satisfaction. every time you tried to help him, he either got defensive or simply forgot the moment it began.
you felt guilty even thinking about it because you loved him. you loved the way he brought you tea in the morning, the way he supported your career, the way he held your hand when you watched movies and the way he simply was by your side when you needed him. how could you leave someone so kind and so stable over something as carnal as sex?
it felt shallow, a betrayal of the emotional bond you had created, and yet, the physical void was growing. it was becoming a slow resentment, making you feel lonely even when he was inches away.
the worst part was his confusion when you would eventually go quiet, pulling away after he was finished. he would ask if you were okay, his tone genuinely caring and your heart would just sink deeper. how could you tell him that he was failing you without making him feel wrong? you didn’t want to be the demanding girlfriend, or making him feel like he wasn't enough, so you always just faked a smile and said you were just tired, hiding your true feelings deeper and deeper.
you felt shallow, like you were invalidating all the good and steady parts of your relationship. you were a grown woman, someone who was confident and capable in every other area of her life, yet here you were, lying in the dark and feeling like a child who couldn't communicate her most basic needs. it was a cycle of desire, frustration, and eventual giving up.
you had never thought that sex was that important in your life. this was your first, real relationship and you had always told yourself before getting into it that the most important thing was trust, loyalty and of course love. you saw sec like something that came right after all those things, not as important as them.
but now you were rethinking all of that.
it wasn’t that it was more or less important, but it was just as equal.
that night you tried to fall asleep with that same frustration growing inside you, and trying not to let it keep you awake as many other nights.
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
the next night your friend melissa had invited you and ethan to an house party to celebrate her promotion. you had accepted happily of course, needing to see your friends after weeks of just being busy working.
you had spent an hour getting ready, between shower, make up and dressing up. you were wearing a short, black slip dress, simple but daring. the skirt was shorter than your usual but you loved how it looked on your body. at your feet, you were wearing red pointed high heels that added that bit of colour to go against the black of your dress.
for the make up, you used eyeliner, paired with shimmering eyeshadow and mascara, and then a red lipstick to top it all off. you also wore your hoop earrings, loving the contrast of the golden of them against the color of your hair.
you looked at yourself smoothing the fabric of yourself and smiled, you were ready to go and have some fun. ethan was waiting at the door already, wearing a simple white blouse and black pants with boots.
he smiled at you as you walked up to him and kissed you on your lips, taking your hand and murmuring a quick “let’s go” before opening the door and guiding you towards the car.
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
the party had already started and was crowded when you and ethan walked in, the bass thumping against your chest and the air full with the smell of beer and expensive perfume.
ethan’s hand was on your lower back, walking with you inside the house and greeting some of the guys that were there.
soon you stopped to talk to a group of girls that were your friends, laughing with them as they talked about the last gossip of the office. ethan was with you until some guys called him over and he planted a quick kiss to your cheek before going over to them.
as you stood there chatting with them, a magnetic pull made you look toward the center of the room.
rhea ripley, wwe superstar and weirdly one of your circle, was leaning against the kitchen island, a red solo cup in one hand.
she was wearing a cropped black and white tshirt paired with baggy military jeans that sat low on her hips. her shoulders and arms looked even more massive than you remembered, the muscles defined and bursting with raw power. she was wearing silver hoop earrings, her usual bracelets around her wrists and black converse. as if she felt your gaze, her eyes darted across the room, and the moment they landed on yours, her entire expression shifted and a slow grin spread across her lips.
she pushed off the counter, walking through the crowd and ignoring some people that were trying to get her attention. when she reached you, she pulled you into a warm hug. she smelled like cologne and something uniquely her.
“y/n, it’s been way too long, hasn't it?" she murmured against your hair, her voice vibrating right through you.
you pulled back, your heart hammering against your ribs. you blinked, looking up at her and for the first time, you didn't just see your friend. you saw the sharpness of her jaw, the way her top clung to her shoulders, her gaze that made your stomach flip.
you had never really questioned your attractions before, always assuming you were just attracted to guys and that was it, but staring at rhea in that moment, a strange heat bloomed deep in your chest as her eyes traced the line of your collarbone.
"yeah," you managed to whisper, your throat suddenly dry, “it has."
rhea didn't let go of your arm immediately, her thumb brushing against your skin in a way that felt entirely too intentional.
“you know, we need to catch up properly, didn’t know you had one of those.” she said as her eyes flicking pointedly toward your boyfriend in the distance before returning to you with a small smile.
you let out a laugh, your gaze dropping down on the ground as you adjusted your dress before looking up at her again, “yeah, right, that’s ethan. i met him during a seminar and… yeah, it just happened. we’re together now.”
your eyes flicked to him and then towards rhea again. you didn’t know why but you found yourself gulping down heavily, feeling like you couldn’t even breath in the moment as she continued to observe you and him, her arms crossed over her chest.
“that’s… great. i’m sure you’re happy. he seems a nice guy.” she said, her eyebrow arching at her own words, almost like she was challenging you to tell her the truth.
because one thing about rhea, she always noticed when something was wrong. even if you didn’t see her for months, she always found a way to understands what was going on with you.
you two had met through melissa, since she was a producer for wwe. when you met, you immediately found yourself feeling comfortable with rhea. she was guarded at first, kinda introverted and shy, but as soon as she saw that you were easy going and talked to her like a normal human being instead of the superstar, she started to open up more and soon she became one of your friends.
it was a weird friendship, because since rhea was always almost away, you didn’t really see her everyday, but when you two did meet up, it was like the distance never happened. there was no weird silence or awkward conversations.
well, not until that night.
you didn’t know why you were feeling that way to be honest. you felt like you were making everything weird, because she was just talking to you normally, as she always did, but you couldn’t ignore her little sarcastic tone and kinda disgusted face when she looked at ethan.
and you couldn’t ignore the way you were feeling inside as she did that.
suddenly, you felt a hand on your shoulder. you turned around, and ethan was there, a cup in his hand as he stared between you and rhea, his eyes slowly widening when he realised who was standing infront of him.
“no way," ethan breathed, his voice dropping into that awkward high pitched tone he reserved for people he saw as important, “rhea ripley? standing infront of me?"
you felt a flush of embarrassment creep up your neck, watching as he ignored your existence, his hand sliding off your shoulder so he could reach out to her, suddenly desperate to be seen as cool by rhea.
"i'm such a huge fan," he continued, completely oblivious to the way you were now standing awkwardly to the side, “i mean, your match at mania? insane. i've been following your work since your nxt days."
rhea didn't even blink. she didn't offer a polite smile or lean in to shake his hand. instead, her gaze remained fixed on you, her eyes traveling from your lips down to your throat, then back up to your eyes. she offered ethan the bare minimum, a tight lipped smile and a nod that barely acknowledged his presence.
"thanks.” she muttered, her voice dismissive, not even bothering to pretend she cared about his commentary.
she didn't introduce herself or tried to make small comments, she just stood there, her massive frame looming in a way that made ethan look small and boyish in comparison.
you felt your face heat up from the judgmental intensity in rhea’s gaze. she was watching ethan with a mix of boredom and annoyance that made you want to crawl into the floorboards. you couldn't stand the way he was babbling, nor the way she was dissecting his behavior with that predatory look in her eyes.
"ethan, babe, come on," you interrupted, your voice strained while offering rhea an apologetic look, “sorry, rhea, we’re gonna grab a drink, we'll catch you in a bit."
you didn't wait for her response, your fingers digging into his forearm as you pulled him away until you reached a quiet hallway. the dim light was a relief, though your heart was still thumping against your ribs.
"did you see that? that was rhea ripley!" ethan was practically vibrating, his eyes wide and unfocused. he was definitely feeling the liquor now, and you could tell by his movements since they were slightly loose and his grin a little too wide, “why did you pull me away? we should go talk to her more. maybe we can get a picture, or-“
"ethan, stop," you said, firmer than you intended and put a hand on his chest to steady him, “take a breath. you’re being a bit much, she’s just here to relax, she doesn't really like people fanning over her like that."
he blinked, the excitement dimming into a tipsy confusion. "oh. yeah, i guess. sorry. i just get excited."
he laughed, his hand coming up his neck before gripping your waist. “don’t be mad at me, baby.”
he leaned in, pressing his lips against yours. he was heavy, his weight pinning you back against the wall with a dull thud. his mouth was warm, tasting of gin and lime as he started trailing kisses down your neck, his stubble grazing your skin.
it was nice, but even as your hands rested on his shoulders, your mind kept going back to the kitchen, to the way rhea looked in that cropped shirt and how big her and perrault she looked. you let your head fall back against the wall, trying to find the satisfaction in his touch.
his hands went up the skin of your thigh, the fabric of your dress bunched up under his palm as he moved higher, his fingers pressing against the lace of your panties.
"let's go to the bathroom," he mumbled against your neck, his lips dragging over your skin as he sucked a small mark into your collarbone, “i want you."
you nodded, your head lolling back against the wallpaper. the sensation of his hand was technically pleasant, but as he pulled back to look at you with intoxicated eyes, the void inside you felt wider than ever. he was looking for a reaction and you played the part, letting out a soft sound that satisfied him.
the truth was bitter though, because that need pulsing between your legs wasn't for him. but for another person that had made you reconsider everything you knew just by a small talk in the kitchen.
"okay.” you whispered, the word feeling hollow in your own ears.
he didn't notice the hesitation. he just took your hand, leading you toward the bathroom, his touch heavy and possessive. you followed, the click of your red heels echoing against the wood, your heart racing with a dangerous anticipation. you knew what was waiting in that bathroom, just a temporary escape, but as you walked, you couldn't shake the feeling that the one you were really craving was only a few rooms away, oblivious to the fact that you were starving for her attention.
as soon as you two arrived to the bathroom, ethan didn’t waste any time. he moved with that same clumsy urgency, his hands fumbling with his belt before he pushed you against the cold vanity. he was loud, his grunts and whispers filling the room, but none of it reached you.
it was over as quickly as it had begun. he finished with a groan that sounded more like a sigh of relief than passion, his forehead dropping onto your shoulder. he stayed there for a moment, unaware that you were still standing exactly where you had started, aching and unfulfilled.
he pulled away, adjusting his clothes with a careless, satisfied grin that made your stomach turn.
“that was great, babe," he murmured, completely oblivious to your silence as he leaned in to kiss your cheek, “i’m gonna go grab us some drinks. meet me out there?"
you didn't say anything, just nodded as you watched him stumble out of the room. the door clicked shut behind him and you let out a shaky, frustrated breath, your hands trembling as you reached down to fix your dress. the ache in your lower belly was screaming now, a need that had been ignored for too long.
you stared at your reflection, meeting your own gaze in the mirror. your makeup was slightly smudged, your hair a mess, and the sight of yourself, so desperate and so incredibly alone, shattered whatever composure you had left.
you couldn't do this anymore. not like this. not for him.
you sank down onto the cold, tiled floor, dropping to your knees. it was a surrender to your own body's demands, a final abandonment of the act you’d been playing all night. you didn’t care about the dress, the party, or the fact that someone might knock. the only thing that existed was the heavy, rhythmic ache between your legs that ethan hadn't even come close to soothing.
with a trembling hand, you reached between your thighs. you started to move, slowly at first, your fingers finding the slick heat you had been denied for months. your eyes squeezed shut, your head falling back against the cabinet as you tried to focus on the pressure, on the way your own touch felt significantly better than his ever had.
a needy moan escaped your lips, raw and unfiltered. you were lost in it, your fingers knowing exactly what you needed.
then, the air in the room changed.
you didn't hear a knock, you didn't even hear the lock click.
you only realized you weren't alone when you felt a shadow fall over you. you blinked your eyes open, your breath catching in a jagged, painful gasp, and your gaze traveled up from the tiles to a pair of converse planted firmly in front of you.
you froze, the feeling between your thighs vanished, replaced by a jolt of adrenaline that made your heart stop.
slowly, you lifted your head up totally, rhea was there. she was leaning against the wall, her arms crossed over her chest. she didn't look shocked or disgusted, instead she looked unbothered, her gaze heavy as it went from your flushed face down to your hand, which was still lingering close to your core.
a slow smirk appeared on her lips. she didn't move to leave and she didn't offer an apology for walking in. instead, she shifted her weight, the movement causing the muscles in her arms to ripple under her tattoos.
you scrambled, your heels catching on the tiles as you tried to push yourself up, your face burning with a heat that had nothing to do with arousal and everything to do with pure, mortified shame.
“i-i'm so sorry, rhea, i didn't - i thought the door was locked, i'm so, so sorry.” you stammered, your eyes darting toward the sink, the mirror, the floor, anywhere but those eyes.
you didn't even get to your feet. before you could straighten up, rhea moved. she was fast, her frame crowding your space before you could even register it. one large hand shot out, pinning you back against the bathroom wall.
she didn't let you look away, instead she reached out with her other hand, two fingers hooking under your chin to tilt your face until you were forced to meet her eyes. her thumb grazed your lower lip, her touch gentle compared to the intensity radiating from her.
"do you need some help?" she asked, her voice low, so low that it made the space between your thighs ache with renewed tension.
you couldn't speak, you just stared at her, your chest heaving against her own.
she leaned in closer, her gaze dropping to your mouth.
“i asked you a question, baby.” she murmured, her eyes searching yours, “if you do, you need to speak up.”
you didn't have the words, but you didn't have the will to lie, either. you slowly nodded your head, your hair brushing against the wall.
a satisfied smirk spread across her lips and she didn't waste another second. she closed the distance between you, her mouth crashing onto yours with a hunger that felt like she was keeping herself back for a long time. the kiss was deep and possessive, tasting of beer and absolute intent.
rhea’s fingers tangled into your hair, her grip possessive as she tilted your head back. her lips grazed your pulse point, but then she paused, her breath hitching as she spotted the faint mark ethan had left on your skin just minutes ago.
a dismissive scoff rumbled in her chest, vibrating against your collarbone.
“he really has no idea what he's doing, does he?" she muttered, her voice dripping with disdain.
she didn't wait for an answer, she immediately pressed her lips against your skin, this time with a strength that promised a permanent, deep bruise. she sucked hard, her tongue swirling against you as she claimed the space.
while her mouth worked its way down your neck, her hand slid down your body and legs. she pressed her palm firmly against your core, right over your panties, and groaned at how soaked you were.
"fuck, you’re so wet, you really need this, don’t you?” she whispered against your skin, sending shivers down your spine, “mami is here for you.”
she hooked her fingers into the lace of your underwear and ripped them down. she tossed them somewhere into the bathroom, not even caring where they landed.
then she didn't hesitate, her hand returned to you and her thumb found your clit, rubbing firmly against the swollen bud. you gasped, your knees buckling, but she held you upright, her other hand sliding under your thigh to hike your leg high up onto her hip. the position left you completely exposed to her, forced to feeling the weight of her touch.
"look at me," she commanded, her eyes burning as she watched the way your body reacted to her, “yeah, that's it. tell me how it feels."
your fingers gripped the fabric of her tshirt before anchoring themselves in her black hair. rhea was relentless, still moving her hand in circles sending pleasure straight to your nerves.
"rhea - oh my god, rhea, please, it-it’s so good.” you whimpered, the sound breaking in your throat. it was messy and desperate, a cry you had been trapped in for so long.
her eyes locked onto yours, dark and hungry as she tracked every moan that wrecked your frame. the thought of having you like that, against wall and screaming her name was something she had always dreamt of, something she craved for months since knowing you.
and now it was real, it was infront of her, and she didn’t want to miss any of it. so of course, to make you even louder, she inserted a finger inside you.
at that, you let out a high pitched moan that bordered on a sob, your spine snapping straight before you collapsed back into her hold. you were rambling, just repeating her name like a prayer while your hips bucked against her hand.
the world outside the bathroom was completely erased by the way she was rearranging your insides, showing you exactly what you had been missing.
"you're such a good girl for mam, such a slut," rhea rasped, her mouth still working on your neck and jaw, "you're taking it so well. say it, say you’re good for mami.”
suddenly, she left a last kiss on your neck before taking her hand away. the withdrawal of her touch made you let out a broken, needy sound. you blinked at her, your vision blurred and your lips trembling as you reached out for her.
“please," you sobbed, your voice small and desperate, “mami, please, i’ll be good for you, don't stop. please."
hearing that title caused something inside of her to snap. seeing you so willing to give her that power made her blood run hot.
she didn't say a word as she slid her hands under your thighs with effortless strength, lifting you off the floor.
you gasped, your legs instinctively wrapping around her waist as she hoisted you up, setting you firmly onto the edge of the cold sink.
you were braced against the mirror now, your dress lifted up around your waist as rhea stepped into the space between your thighs, her presence overwhelming. she leaned in, pressing a lingering kiss to your inner thigh, her lips moving slowly toward your core. you felt yourself melt, your head falling back against the wall as your legs trembled, instinctively opening further.
she looked up at you once, a smirk playing on her lips before she ducked her head. you let out a strangled cry, your fingers digging into her shoulders as her tongue finally made contact with your clit.
rhea’s grip on your thighs was strong, her large hands anchoring you in place as she devoured you, her tongue finding that exact spot that had been aching for hours. every time you tried to pull back when it became too much, her hands would squeeze, forcing you to stay put and take everything she was giving you.
the sound of her slurping filled your ears and echoed off the bathroom tiles, adding to the fire in your belly.
"you taste so fucking good, so sweet.” she mumbled against you, her voice was muffled but you heard clearly a possessive growl escaping against your skin.
you were losing the battle with your own restraint. you tried to bite your lip, your hips bucking instinctively against her mouth as you fought to keep your moans back. you didn’t want the whole party to hear, you didn't want ethan to hear.
you couldn’t deny that the thought of that, of him hearing how finally good you felt and of another woman being the reason of it all, wasn’t appealing.
but still, you had some kind of dignity in you that you wanted to keep.
rhea seemed to sense the internal war you were fighting. she paused for a fraction of a second, looking up between your legs, her eyes hooded and daring. her thumbs were digging into your inner thighs, forcing your legs wide open and completely exposed to her.
“no, don't fucking hide it," she commanded, her voice a raspy challenge, “i want to hear you. i want everyone out there to know exactly who you’re with and how much of a slut you are for me. let it go. scream my name.”
she didn't give you time to protest as she dove back in, her tongue flicking with a sudden precision that was too much to contain. your plan shattered instantly. your head whipped back, your fingers clutched into her hair, and you let out a ragged, shattering cry.
"oh god, rhea! i’m about to -" you gasped, your voice echoing as you finally gave in, your words disappearing and your body arching violently as the first wave of your climax tore through you, leaving you completely at her mercy.
rhea didn’t stop and she kept sucking, drowning out the rest of your climax. she caught every twitch, every hip jerk and every whimpered syllable of her name until your vision was nothing but white static. you were shattered, just a trembling mess of nerves and sweat as you finally collapsed.
once the last part of pleasure faded, rhea finally pulled away. she stood up, her frame towering over yours and braced her hands on the sink on either side of your hips, boxing you in.
her chest was heaving just as hard as yours and her eyes, still burning with a predatory hunger, pinned you to the spot. she wasn’t satisfied, she was just getting started and you could see that.
you reached down to pull the hem of your black slip dress back into place. your hands were shaking too hard to get the fabric to cooperate and you felt exposed. rhea watched you struggle for a long moment, then stepped in. she smoothed the silk over your thighs, and she finished by straightening the straps on your shoulders.
you were suddenly hyper aware of everything that just had happened and how she was supposed to be just your friend. your cheeks burned at that and suddenly looking into her eyes was difficult.
your graze went from her blue eyes to your hands that were now interested suddenly in the hem of your dress, playing with it like you always did when nervous.
rhea smirked down at you, completely understand what was going on inside you. for her, this was bound to happen. there was no way in the world that you two wouldn’t end up in that situation. she had always known.
for a heartbeat you smiled back, but then the reality of the situation came back to you. you froze, your smile dropping, and you darted a panicked look towards the bathroom door.
rhea’s expression darkened instantly. she saw the shift, the way the guilt and the anxiety instantly got the best of you and and she scoffed, her eyes rolling back with disdain.
“don't," she snapped and took your face in her hand to make you look toward her instead, “wipe that look off your face. don't you dare start thinking about him."
"i can't help it," you whispered, your voice cracking, “i feel so guilty, h-he’s outside and i just… i liked it. i liked knowing it.“
rhea sighed heavily at your words and took a step back, her hands moving in the air as she looked at you in disbelief.
“you feel guilty? for what? for finding someone who actually knows how to treat you?" she laughed, a dry, humorless sound, “that loser couldn't even fuck you properly, could he? that’s why you were in here while he was out there bragging to his idiot friends about how he had fucked you."
you felt the blood drain from your face, leaving you cold. "what? he… he did what? he told them?"
rhea’s eyes narrowed, a flash of genuine fury crossing her face, "the second he walked out of this bathroom, he went straight to kitchen and i heard every word. he was telling them how he just had fucked you in here and talking about you like a fucking trophy. i couldn't let it slide. i walked over and i slapped him so hard it turned his head. left him standing there stuttering like the bitch he is."
your jaw went slack, shock washing over you. "you... you slapped him? rhea, why?"
she walked closer to you again, leaning in, her scent overwhelming your senses. "because he’s a fucking asshole and doesn’t deserve you. stop feeling guilty for someone who treats you like like that. you’re done with him and he’s lucky i didn't do a lot worse than just a slap."
the silence in the bathroom was loud as you stared back at rhea, your mind consumed by the revelation. the betrayal stung, but the relief that it was finally out in the open was better. a single tear escaped down your cheek before dropping onto your shoulder.
rhea reached up, her thumb brushing the tear away with a tenderness that caught you off guard and she let out an hevay sigh as she pulled you into her, her arms wrapping around you.
you didn't hesitate, your fingers clutching the back of her shirt as you pressed your face into the crook of her neck. the small sobs you had been holding back finally broke loose. she held you, her hand stroking your back gently.
"stop crying," she murmured, her voice now calmer, "he isn't worth a single tear, you know it.”
she pulled back just enough to look you in the eyes before she moved closer, her lips brushing against your mouth before she pressed a small kiss on it.
"i have wanted you for a long time," she whispered, her kisses now going down your neck again, "i don’t want you to be with someone who doesn't even know how to touch you properly. do you want me too?”
her voice was soft as silk as he looked into your eyes, cupping your chin as her thumb carefully caressed your jaw. you were lost in that colour that was so alive and shining as she looked like she was internally praying that you said yes.
and that’s exactly what you did, because how in the world could you say no to her?
you nodded frantically, a smile appearing on your face and a small and shy giggle escaping you. “y-yes. of course i want you.”
she grinned widely at that before tilting your head to the side, her lips finding your ear, licking it slowly, “good. i’m going to take care of you. and when we get out of here, i’m going to fuck you until you can’t even remember his name, do you understand me?"
the words hung in the air, heavy and intoxicating, a promise that sent that feeling of need straight to your core all over again. the shame that had been burning in your gut only moments ago was being replaced by a consuming desire that was entirely for her.
you looked up at her, your eyes, still rimmed with the trace of tears, were now wide and dark with a desperate hunger. you didn't need to say a word, the way you leaned into her touch were all the answer she needed.
rhea saw the surrender in your eyes, the total admission of desire that you had been hiding from everyone, yourself included.
she didn't give you another second to doubt. she pulled you flush against her, her hands sliding down to grip your hips, pulling you into her solid, muscular frame until there wasn't a breath of space left between you.
she crashed her mouth onto yours again, harder and deeper than before, and this time you didn't look at the door, you didn't think about the party, or ethan, or the guilt. you just wrapped your arms around her neck, pulled her closer, and let her take everything she wanted.
finally realising that she was everything you had ever wanted for a long time.

the mirror was an enemy you hadn’t conquered yet. it didn’t just reflect your image, it whispered every cruel thing you had ever been told back to you.
your ed was the ghost of high school hallways, the echo of laughter when you walked by, and the lingering shadow of every comment about your hips, your stomach, your thighs.
some days, you felt like you were winning. you would eat a meal and tell yourself it was okay, that it wasn’t a mistake.
but those days were fragile, easily shattered by a glance at your reflection or a tight waistband. it was a cycle of drowning, surfacing for air, and then being dragged back down by the weight of your own skin.
you hated that you felt trapped in your own body, something you had never chosen to have and to live in, yet paralyzed by the lack of strength to change it. you existed in a state of constant war with yourself.
many times you had tried to pull yourself out of it; you had been to doctors, to clinics, to therapists who sat in quiet rooms and asked you to describe your feelings until your throat felt raw.
you went because they made you go, because rhea, your beautiful and loving girlfriend, in her protective way, had held your hands and begged you to see a version of yourself that didn’t involve hurting.
for a while, those interventions worked. there were months where you felt steady, where the voices in your head were muffled enough for you to breathe, and for a fleeting moment, you almost believed the people who swore they didn't see what you saw.
your mom, your dad, your siblings, your friend, rhea. they always told you how beautiful you were, how you didn’t have to live in this pain and that there was a way out.
but you couldn’t believe them. their words seemed just like words. it hurt to be loved so hard and not being able to feel it, because you didn’t love yourself first, so how could you believe that anyone else was capable of it?
when rhea told you you were beautiful, you wanted to believe her with everything in you. you let her believe the worst was behind you, let her think that the progress was permanent.
but this monster was relentless. it didn't care about your therapy appointments or your girlfriend’s love. it only took one stray comment, one bad look in a shop window, or one day where your clothes felt a fraction too tight and the floor would drop out from underneath you.
you had lost count of the times you had seen her cry for you. rhea, who could stare down any opponent in the ring without blinking, reduced to tears because she couldn't reach you, couldn’t help you in any way. her eyes would brim with a desperate kind of grief, her hands trembling as she tried to pull you back from your own thoughts.
every tear she shed for you, or that your parents shed for you, became a stone you added to your own burden. it felt like your existence was a slow motion tragedy that you were forcing everyone you loved to watch.
the guilt was a suffocating. you wanted to scream at yourself to stop, to just be normal, to just look in the mirror and see what she saw, but you just couldn’t. you were a black hole, pulling everyone close to you into the darkness, and you hated yourself for it. you hated being the reason for their pain, for her pain.
rhea always reassured you though.
even in the moments where you were convinced you were dragging her down with you, rhea never wavered. she didn't view your struggle as a task or an inconvenience, she viewed it as a battle she was fighting with you.
in those moments, where everything felt like it was just deteriorating, she would pull you in her chest and rock you until you calmed down. when you hated yourself so much you couldn’t get out of bed, she would stay with you, cuddling you. when you didn’t want to be touched or seen by her, she accepted it and waited until you were ready, never rushing you.
you thought that soon enough she would get tired of you, especially when your intimate life was becoming hard to deal with because of your mental states.
many times where she had tried to get closer, you would refuse. the thought of a strong, beautiful and breathtaking woman seeing you naked, especially in those moments, made you shiver.
you thought that maybe she would judge you, she would see that you were right, how unlovable you felt and break up with you.
she could’ve had anyone she wanted. everyone loved her and flirted with her, especially girls from wwe. so why would she choose to be stuck with you?
everything sounded real to you. your mind didn’t let you have a break.
and that night was no different.
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
the hotel room was draped in that heavy silence that only followed a show day. you were curled up on the bed, the lights dimmed low, the tv playing something muted that you weren't actually watching.
your mind was a mess as usual. earlier that day, you had caught your reflection in a mirrored pillar at the arena and that one split second glance had been enough to ruin you. you had spent the last few hours trying to shrink yourself, looking at any mirror you encountered to be sure that you had seen right, and every time you saw a worse version.
the bathroom door creaked open, releasing a cloud of steam into the room. rhea stepped out, a towel wrapped low around her body, her hair dark and damp sticking to her shoulders.
she looked wrecked.
the street fight against raquel had been brutal, you had watched from the back, seeing the way they threw each other into the steel and the barricades. even now, you could see the faint welts blooming across her collarbone and the way her movements were heavy with exhaustion. she had been on her feet since dawn, dealing with fan meet and greets and back to back interviews where she had had to be "the nightmare" for the cameras.
now, the mask was off. her posture was slumped, the intimidating edge of her persona replaced by the human fragility of a woman who had been pushed to her absolute limit.
she didn't say a word at first. she just walked over to the bed, her movements stiff and clearly fighting the ache in her muscles. you felt so useless compared to her. she fought for a living, she took hits and kept standing.
and here you were, losing a fight to your own reflection, hiding under an oversized hoodie because you didn’t want to let her see the body she had been trying to love all day.
"hey, baby.” she rasped, her voice rougher than usual, stripped of its stage ready gravel.
she looked at you, really looked at you, and you saw that flicker of concern cross her features. she didn't know yet that the war in your head was currently going on at full volume. she just saw you sitting there, small and distant.
“long day.” she sighed, letting her weight sink into the mattress beside you. she reached out, her hand was just an inch from your knee, waiting for you to invite her in.
the guilt rose in your throat like bile. she had just been through hell in that ring, and you were sitting there, unable to even be the comfort she needed. you were supposed to be her soft place to land, but tonight, you just felt like another obstacle.
you forced a smile on your face, trying to put on a mask and seem normal. you shifted, making room for her on the bed, and tried to push your thoughts to the back of your mind.
“you were incredible out there," you said, your voice sounding steadier than you felt, “raquel didn't stand a chance, really. you looked like a beast."
rhea let out a short laugh, leaning her head back against the headboard and closing her eyes for a moment. "i feel like i went ten rounds with a freight train, honestly. my back is killing me."
she opened her eyes then, her gaze locking onto yours. even through the exhaustion, that intensity was still there, the way she looked at you like you were the only thing in the room worth seeing.
she shifted, moving closer until her leg was pressed firmly against yours. her skin was warm, still radiating the heat of the shower, and she reached out, her hand resting possessively on your thigh.
your breath hitched, but you didn't pull away.
you let her touch you, even though the only thing you want to do was to run, to hide and never come back out. she traced the line of your leg with her thumb, her touch was slow and deliberate, a silent question she was asking.
you wanted to be the version of yourself she deserved, so you tried to mirror her, leaning into the contact, letting your muscles relax under the touch of her hand. she sighed, a low sound, and moved her hand higher, her fingertips barely grazing the hem of your hoodie.
you were terrified, but you were also starving for that connection, starving for the way she made you feel like you mattered. you always felt the way she felt, always craved her, always wanted her to just make you forget how much you hated your body, but it was hard and that was another reason you hated yourself.
so, you stayed still, praying that for just one night, you could keep the ghosts of your past quiet enough to let her love you.
rhea leaned in closer and she pressed her lips against the sensitive spot just below your ear, sending a shiver racing down your spine that had nothing to do with the air conditioning.
“i missed you," she murmured against your skin, her voice dropping into that low tone that always turned your insides to liquid, “not just today. i missed this.”
her lips traveled a slow, agonizing path down your neck, lingering over your pulse point. her hand, still resting on your thigh, began to travel upward, her palm hot against your skin, “it’s been way too long, baby. i feel like i haven't really touched you in forever, and i need to love you. i need to feel you under me."
she paused, shifting her weight so she was right over you, her blue eyes dark and heavy with a hunger that made your breath hitch.
“i have been thinking about what i want to do to you all day," she whispered, "i want to take my time with every single inch of you. i want to hear you say my name when i’m making you feel things you can’t even imagine right now."
her touch was becoming impossible to ignore, so impossible that you felt your heart hammering against your ribs.
your fingers found their way into her damp, messy hair, pulling her head closer to yours. you needed to feel her, knowing that she was there, and that she wanted you.
when she finally captured your lips with hers, it was a a desperate kiss that tasted of unspoken things. you let out a shaky breath against her mouth, desperate to lose yourself in the feeling of being wanted even if it was just for tonight.
the kiss deepened, but even as you tangled your fingers into her hair, a part of you was still outside your own body, watching the scene from the ceiling, and judged you like everyone always had.
rhea pulled back just an inch, her forehead resting against yours, looking into your eyes as she searched your face for an answer.
"can i?" she breathed, the question heavy with a weight that went beyond physical permission, “will you let me do it?"
you blinked, the pleasure clashing with your own insecurity. you were lost, caught between need to be with her and the fear that once she saw your body, once that hoodie was gone, she would realize the mistake she had made.
rhea didn't push. she never pushed, she just watched your expression, noting the way your eyes darted toward the room, the way your grip on her hair faltered for a heartbeat. she sensed the shift in your mood.
her hand, which had been sliding up your side with grace, stopped. she moved her thumb in a gentle motion against your ribcage.
"hey," she said, her hand moving then towards your jaw, "it’s okay. you don't have to. i’m not going to do anything that makes you feel anything less than safe."
she pulled back just enough to look you in the eyes, her gaze searching and completely devoid of judgment. she wasn't asking to be satisfied, she was asking to connect. it made you want to cry, not out of sadness, but because the contrast between her kindness and the hatred you threw at yourself was staggering.
your throat tightened. you wanted to be brave, you wanted to let her in, to stop the war, to just surrender to the fact that someone wanted you even when you didn't want yourself.
"i want to," you whispered, your words barely audible, “i’m just... i'm scared, rhea. i'm so scared."
she leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to the center of your forehead, holding you there, anchored by her warmth.
“i know, baby," she murmured, her voice a promise, “i'm right here. we go as slow as you need. we don't do anything that isn't for you."
the ache of wanting her that you had been suppressing for your own body finally won over your insecurities.
you took a shaky breath and nodded, looking up at her with pleading eyes, "i want you," you whispered, the words barely audible, “i need you, rhea. please."
the shift in her was instantaneous. her entire posture changed, her eyes darkened, turning sharp and predatory, but not in a way that scared you. it was the look of someone finally being given permission to worship.
she stepped in the space between your knees, her hands finding your waist with a possessive heat. she leaned in, pressing her lips to the skin of your neck. she tasted you, her tongue tracing the curve of your jaw, then flicked against your ear, making a shiver go down your spine. then finally her lips captured your mouth in a kiss that tasted like desperation and relief.
her hands slid down, tracing the curves of your hips, her palms pressing against your skin as she observed your reaction. you leaned into her, letting out a shaky exhale as her fingers moved between your thighs.
she moved slowly, her hand resting over your panties, feeling the evidence of your want. she didn't push past the fabric though, she stayed there, feeling you for the first time in months.
she went to reach for the hem of your hoodie, her fingers hooking into the fabric to pull it up, and that’s when your pulse spiked. the need to hide your body began to get higher.
you grabbed her wrists, stopping her instantly. your grip was tight, tighter than it ever was, your knuckles white, as you shook your head with wide eyes, the fear of exposure threatening to ruin the moment.
rhea froze, her hands held captive by yours. she didn't pull away or act frustrated. instead, she pulled back just enough to look you directly in the eyes. she leaned forward, pressing a kiss to your forehead, then your nose, and finally your lips.
"look at me," she murmured, her voice steady and grounding, "you are beautiful. you have to stop being afraid of me, and you have to stop being afraid of yourself. you don't have to hide, not from me and not from the truth of how gorgeous you are. let it go, just for tonight. just let me love you the way you deserve to be loved."
you felt the familiar crawl of shame up your throat. you shook your head, your hair falling over your face to hide yourself.
“i’m not like you, rhea," you whispered, your voice cracking, “look at me. i’m ugly. i don't look like anyone you should want to touch."
the air in the room seemed to sharpen. rhea’s expression hardened, her eyes suddenly narrowing down with fire in them. she wasn't angry at you, she felt angry at the voices inside your head, her hands sliding from your waist.
"don't," she commanded, her voice dropping into a dangerous, low rumble, "don't you dare talk about yourself like that. it pisses me off, and it pisses me off because you're wrong."
she stood up abruptly, and the loss of her body against yours made you feel the familiar sting of abandonment, your heart going up into your throat as you thought she was finally tired of the games, tired of the broken parts of you. you reached out, your fingers twitching, but she had already moved.
"rhea, wait-“
"calm down.” she said immediately, already knowing that you were spiralling. she didn't walk toward the door. instead, she circled the bed and gripped your hands, pulling you up from the mattress with a strength that was both firm and grounding. she then guided you across the room toward the full length mirror attached to the closet door.
the harsh light caught your reflection and your instinct was to close your eyes shut, to hide from the image that always made you want to disappear.
"open your eyes.” she murmured, standing behind you. she didn't wait for you to comply, she moved with purpose. you were now standing in front of the glass, and she only let you go when she sat down infront of it right on the floor. she looked up at you from, her expression unreadable but intense.
she tapped the floor in front of her, “come here.” she said softly.
you hesitated, your legs feeling like lead, but the way she watched you made it impossible to refuse. you slowly sank down to the floor, settling infront of her, still trapped inside the oversized hoodie and still feeling like a fraud.
rhea kept her eyes locked on yours. "i’m not leaving and i’m not going to let you hate yourself anymore. we’re going to do this my way. you’re going to sit there, and you’re going to let me show you exactly what i see when i look at you."
she shifted her position, so that she was sitting better behind you with your back pressed firmly against the solid wall of her chest.
you felt her fingers brush against the hem of your hoodie as she started to lift it just an inch. you immediately tried to look away, but rhea’s hand went up to cup your jaw and tilted your head towards the mirror again.
a soft hum vibrated in her chest against your back, a firm "no" that acted as a gentle correction. she leaned forward, pressing her chin into the crook of your shoulder, her breath hot against your neck.
"look," she whispered, her voice a low command, “i need you to look."
slowly, you forced yourself to look at your reflection instead of around the room. the mirror reflected the two of you, a contrast of her ink stained frame and your own, fragile and small.
"i promised i would always respect your boundaries," rhea murmured, her gaze locked onto your reflection in the glass rather than your actual face. she moved her hand slightly, her thumb tracing the line of your waist, “and i do. i will never push you further than you can handle, but this is something we have to overcome together. you can't keep hiding the person i love."
you watched her reflection, mesmerized by the way her eyes searched your face in the mirror, looking for any sign that you were drifting back into your mind.
before you could brace yourself, rhea moved with a wrestler’s precision. in one swift motion, she pulled the hoodie over your head and threw it aside. the sudden loss of that barrier left you feeling raw and exposed.
your instinct was twist and squirm as you tried to scramble away from the mirror. but rhea was faster. she hooked her arms around your waist, pulling you back firmly against her body, locking you in place.
"no, stay with me.” she breathed against your ear, her voice dropping into a soothing tone that rhea rarely showed anyone else.
she pressed a trail of soft kisses to your cheek, moving from your jaw up to your temple, over and over again.
"you're okay," she whispered, her lips tight against your earlobe, sending shivers down your spine, “nobody is looking at you but me. you’re not allowed to run from yourself anymore, not while i’m here."
she kept her arms locked tight around your midriff, her palms pressing firmly against your ribs as she felt your heartbeat.
"you’re beautiful, do you hear me?" she murmured, shaking you a little in her arms, "stop fighting me, stop fighting the way i see you. just breathe, baby. look at what i see."
she shifted her hold, pulling your shoulders back so you were forced to confront the mirror again. the beating of your heart began to slow, softening under the weight of her presence. you reached up with trembling hands, your fingers wiping the tears you hadn't even realized you were sharing.
rhea didn't stop. as your breathing steadied into deep gasps, she moved her hands with worship. her palms slid from your waist, tracing the skin of your thighs with deliberate pressure.
she ran her hands upward right after, her touch dragging heat across your skin. she didn't rush. she traced the curve of your hips, and then she moved to your breasts, her hands cupping them with a firm weight that sent electricity son your body.
"i want every inch of this.” she whispered as she leaned down, her lips grazing the skin behind your ear, her hands moving lower to trace the curve of your butt before pulling you tighter between her legs.
the sensation was overwhelming, not because of the fear you were used to, but because of the raw intensity of her attraction and the atmosphere shifted from one of comfort to something far more sensual.
you felt that liquid warmth pooling in your belly. rhea noticed the change in you instantly, her grip tightening, her hands becoming bolder, more explorative. she was claiming
she shifted her weight, sliding her hand firmly between your thighs, your head falling back against her shoulder.
she started moving her finger above your clit right above the panties you were wearing, slowly in circles, before letting her hand go in. the direct contact with you sensitive spot made you moan loudly, even more when her other finger started teasing your hole before she decided to thrust it into you.
all the while, she kept her other hand busy, her thumb and finger teasing your nipple, rolling the sensitive peak until it stood rigid against the cold air of the room.
“you don’t know what you're doing to me," she growled, her hand exploring you with a possessive hunger that made your stomach clench, “you’re so wet, so ready. stop hiding. just watch yourself."
then, the moment shifted. rhea’s eyes darkened, a flash of something more carnal crossing her face. "i need to fuck you, get on your back baby."
you moved as she said, the transition clumsy and disoriented as you moved to lay on the floor, but as you shifted, you caught your reflection in the mirror again from a new angle. the movement twisted your stomach, pulling your skin in a way that your brain instantly saw as flawed.
you froze mid motion, your eyes widening as you stared at the reflection you had been trying so hard to embrace. the air left your lungs, replaced by that suffocating cold.
rhea, who had been watching you with such hunger, saw the exact moment your eyes changed. she saw the way you went still, the way your gaze dropped from the mirror to the floor, your frame going back into defensive shape.
she loomed over you, her hand coming down to grip your hip with a force that was demanding your attention. "i told you to stop looking for faults. i don't see what you see. when i look at you, all i see is the woman i want to fuck until she can't see straight. look at me, not the glass. don't freeze on me now."
she was trying to pull you in again, to make you forget everything you had ever thought about yourself and damn, she felt really close to it.
but it was useless. you shook your head as tears began to fall down your face again.
"don't!" you shrieked, the sound raw and jagged. you twisted out of her grip, “don't touch me, rhea! just don't!"
you scrambled away from the mirror, feeling small, exposed and disgusted by your own skin. "i can't do this, i can't, i can't!"
your hands shook violently as you fumbled for your clothes scattered around the room.
"i hate it," you choked out, "i hate looking at myself, just stop, please, never make me do this again.“
rhea went still. she sat on the floor with her hands falling to her sides, her chest rising and falling heavily. she didn't try to stop you, she watched and gave you the space you were so desperately needed of.
you pulled your hoodie over your head quickly, hiding your trembling body back into the oversized fabric. every time you caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, you turned your head away, your sobs becoming louder.
suddenly, rhea stood up, her hands pushing through her black hair with exasperation. she began pacing slowly around the room, her eyes everywhere as her hands fell down on her hips. it was like she was trying to calm down herself.
she wasn't mad at you, she was mad at the world, at the illness that had stolen your confidence, and at herself for thinking she could make you see what she saw.
without warning, she turned around, her fist connecting with the heavy wooden night table with a heavy sound, breaking it with the force of it and creating a whole in the desk.
“fuck!” she cussed loudly, her hand was throbbing, but the physical pain didn't even compare to the guilt she felt.
then she collapsed on the bed, her shoulders shaking as she buried her face in her hands. she began to sob as you stood frozen in the corner, your heart stopping.
seeing her break like this because of you was a shock. you had seen her cry before but you had never seen her reach this point, she had never shouted, punched or showed any sign of aggression before, and it frightened you more than the mirror ever could.
you moved slowly, your legs feeling heavy as you approached the bed.
“rhea," you whispered, reaching out to touch her trembling shoulder, “rhea, please. look at me. calm down."
she didn't look up, her head hung low as she continued to cry. you climbed on her lap, trying to pull her arms away from her face.
but as you tried to hug her, she shook her head violently, pushing back against your touch.
"i'm sorry," she choked out, her voice broken and unrecognizable, she rubbed her eyes, her face wet with tears that she refused to show the world, “i shouldn't have done that. i thought if i just showed you, you would finally see what i do. but i only hurt you and i made you feel worse."
she let out another sob, her forehead resting against your shoulder as she curled into you. "i should never have made you do that, i’m so sorry. i just wanted you to feel loved, and i ruined everything."
you felt the wetness of her tears soaking into your hoodie as you pulled her closer, wrapping your arms around her neck and burying your face in her shoulder, holding her as tight as you possibly could.
"no," you whispered, your voice trembling but firm against the side of her neck, "it’s not your fault, rhea. none of this is."
you pulled back just enough to look at her, her eyes red, her usual sharp gaze softened by a raw vulnerability. "you were only trying to help me, and i just wasn't ready. i’m sorry. you deserve someone so much better than me, someone who doesn't come with all these problems."
she shook her head at your words, her movements as she gripped your waist.
"stop it," she said, her voice raspy from all the crying, "i don't want better. there is no better. do you understand me? i only want you, i don’t want anyone or anything else."
she searched your eyes, her gaze grounding you, pulling you away from your own self hatred.
she pulled you back into her embrace, tucking your head securely under her chin, her arms forming a protective barrier that felt like the safest place on earth. she held you there, rocking you slightly, her silence finally offering the comfort you needed more than any words.
then she shifted her weight, going back against the mattress until you were both lying down, then she pulled the blanket over both of you.
your head was tucked under her chin and her arm draped heavily over your waist. you were both still shaking, the occasional sob escaping from one of you, but the panicked energy had finally left the room.
rhea moved her hand in slow circles across your back and she pressed a soft kiss to the top of your head, her lips staying there for a long moment.
you could feel the residual tension in her muscles, the way she was still holding on to the guilt she felt, and you reached up, pressing your hand against her cheek to pull her face closer to yours.
you pressed a kiss to her tear stained skin, feeling the salt on your lips. "rhea," you whispered, the sound barely a breath, “you're the best. you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, even when i make it hard for you to see it."
she shifted, pulling back just enough to look at you, her eyes searching yours in the dim light of the bedside lamp. she looked exhausted, completely tired by the vulnerability of the moment. she leaned down, resting her forehead against yours, and let out a shaky breath.
"i'm not the best," she murmured, her voice thick and raspy, "i’m just trying, and i will keep trying every single day, until you finally love yourself."
she leaned in and kissed your lips firmly, an apology and promise all in one. she pulled you back into the safety of her arms, tucking your face into the crook of her neck, and you felt her thumb caress your cheek with care.
the world outside the hotel room felt miles away, and you found solace in the fact that, despite all your broken parts, she was still holding on.
