He swallows hard as her words reach his ears. Positive. That means she’s pregnant. It takes him a moment to comprehend just what that means. He’s going to be a father. Maggie’s having a his baby. He should be terrified, considering all of the things that could go wrong, but he can’t feel anything but happiness. 

“What? Really?” 

He feels a smile spreading across his face as he pulls her into an embrace, holding her as tight as he can. “That’s incredible,” he mutters, pulling back to press a kiss to her forehead. “God, I love you.”

Without thinking much of the action, his hand travels down to her stomach, resting on the place where their baby is growing, his smile even wider than before. “And I love our baby.”
