Highlights of my Weekend!!

Friday

I take the bus to uni,

And it makes me anxious,

Because sometimes the drivers forget to open the back doors.

I stand outside the classroom of my tutorial, debating whether or not to go in - I’m already 10 minutes late, and I don’t really want the attention.

I thoroughly consider the pros (of not attending) and cons (of attending),

And before I know it,

I’m running 25 minutes late.

It’d be pretty pointless to go with only 35 minutes left,

So

I head home.

Bring on the weekend!!!

Saturday

I see the guy I’ve been flirting with (on Facebook) ahead of me on the street.

I duck into the Chinese grocer on my right and hope he hasn’t seen me.

In comes the guy.

“Are you avoiding me?” He asks.

“Oh, Hi! No! Of course not!” I say. “I just have to buy something from this Chinese grocer. You see, I’m making, ah, Chinese food tonight. I didn’t see you walking towards me at all! If I did I would have said hello! Were you, like, on the street or something?”

Lucky I’m good at thinking on my feet.

My friends want to go clubbing,

But I stay home.

I don’t like going out,

It makes me feel short.

Sunday

I order $40 of Indian food to be delivered to my door. My excitement outweighs my self-loathing.

I watch a cockroach eat my leftovers for about 30 minutes,

And worry that I have cancer.

I have an assignment due tomorrow so I

Marinade some fish (for lunch tomorrow)

Experiment with eyeliner

Apply for a job in New York

Condition my hair twice in the shower (like the bottle says)

And then head into West End for a well-earned drink.

I sleep on mum’s couch. Again.
