explicitly parental role, though if you slip up she'll try and make a joke
about how you must think she's "so freaking old!"
╱ given her upbringing, being parentified is difficult for deb, who has a
complicated relationship to his own parents. however, deb loves when you
call him "sis", "bubba" or debs, playfully crowing with delight whenever
dexter is around as if to show him who's boss.
╱ big sister deb who calls you silly nicknames like "stinker" and "squirt",
always making silly exaggerated faces to keep you entertained. she's
always making you laugh out loud, perking up whenever she hears your
boisterous guffaw you're never quite able to contain.

police officer she takes your safety very seriously, sometimes buffing up
her role in the force before her promotion, and being careful not to discuss
ongoing cases with you in your vulnerable state. she's not afraid to talk
crap about his brother, or tell stories where she's "totally badass," swearing
they're true.
╱ as much as she may talk shit, deb is fiercely loyal both to you and to dex.
as much as her mouth tends to get her in trouble, she's not afraid to stand
up for you even if it earns him a swat on the wrist.
╱ big sister deb who is very impulsive, always down for a good time. if you
wake up with a hankering for ice cream, you're getting ice cream as deb
eagerly pokes at you. "who's the best bubba ever?" he'll coax with a
chuckle, then feign humility when you crow his name as she takes a lick
from your cone.
╱ big sister deb who has quite the potty mouth, forgetting to watch herself
before declaring the person who shoved past you to be a "stupid shit" or
the movie you showed him to be "fuckin' intense!" when she remembers
she'll slap a hand over his mouth, blushing and waiting for you to tease
him. she tries to tell you not to curse, but finds it hard not to snicker when
you find yourself mimicking his speech later.
╱ big sister deb who loves to play with you, always immersing herself
eagerly in play. whether its a board game, imaginative game, or anything
involving your impressive toy collection, deb always has ideas for how the
game can work when you run out of them yourself.
╱ big sister deb who loves to spoil you whenever money allows. she's
constantly buying trinkets that remind her of you, finding it hard to say no
when you beg or use your puppy eyes on him in a store. she hates saying
no, not wanting to seem like she doesn't care. if its really not in the
budget, she may bring dexter along to give it to you straight.
── deb is also a puppy caregiver, viewing you as his human charge while in his puppyspace. she tends to regress to puppyspace when feeling intense emotions, though she's only able to act as a carer when these emotions are more positive, otherwise tending to regress as a trauma response and thus requiring more attention herself.
╱ she loves to keep you active, oftentimes taking you for walks or bringing
his ball to you to play fetch. an eager deb is always happy to chase you or
let you chase him as well, the two of you often collapsing into the grass
exhausted after an especially intense game.
╱ if you're feeling fussy, deb will lay with you to calm you down, encouraging
you to pet him, whining when she can tell you're not doing well and
wordlessly bringing you a favorite plush or a pacifier, looking up at you
with big hopeful eyes. she can be squirmy but will lick you to cheer you up
as well!
╱ puppy deb still loves to play with you! she's fond of playing tug of war and
playfighting, though she lets you dress him up and decorate his collar on
calmer days or when you're feeling too young for these rougher activities.
╱ puppy carer deb who is very protective of you, despite being largely
nonspeaking in his regression. she can be very loud, barking and growling
at anything she perceives to be a threat to you. she'll put his body
between you and the threat, unafraid of getting hurt if it means you'll be
safe.
╱ of course being only a puppy, she makes mistakes sometimes and you
can't help but giggle when she tries to "protect" you from a squirrel.
╱ puppy carer deb who loves to watch over you when you take naps,
guarding your room and oftentimes stretching out at your feet, watching
you dream. if you have a nightmare, she's quick to wake you up with gentle
licks, grounding you with his gentle presence.
╱ puppy carer deb who is very attentive, always by your side. she's very vocal
when you babble to him, arfing and yipping in response so you know she's
listening and is invested in what may seem to others to be a whole lot of
nonsense.
╱ she tends to get anxious when you're out of sight for too long, padding
around the house nervously when you're out without telling him, and
tending to follow you to wait outside the door when you're changing or
using the bathroom.
╱ while normally too afraid to come across overbearing, when puppy
regressed, deb views you as her responsibility, and becomes clingier in her

an exhausted tiny with curled up fists and an uncomfortably stiff back. dark circles swallowing the damp eyes above your quivering lip. rue knows the signs all too well, rather familiar with them herself. that putrid, all consuming feeling that the weight of the world could crash down onto your shoulders at any moment. a feeling that still steals moments of rue's life, though admittedly less so since she started with the drug shit she tries to keep you away from. her movements are fluid as she plops herself down a few feet away, half lidded eyes lightly glazed over from whatever she's taken before your arrival. you don't want to know, squeezing your eyes shut as the thought of her clumsily snorting whatever she can get her hands on settles over your brain, settling over your mind, your insides, your skin like a thick layer of smoke. barely able to suppress a whine of distress, you can practically hear her dismissive chuckle if you try to interrogate her about clearly being high like she promised she wouldn't be.
"hey, hey now," she rasps, a note of concern clear in her tone. she shifts an inch closer, trying not to be hurt by the way your fists curl even tighter, a whimper escaping through your clenched teeth at the gesture. hot. her body is warm, heat radiating off of it, another sensation that is just too much to handle right now. "shit," your carer curses herself under her breath as she realizes this. rue scoots back to her initial position, an apology evident in her eyes, a tremoring hand raking through her messy curls as though to reset herself.
"shhh," she hums, relaxing her body in an exaggerated manner as though to remind you how to loosen your own stiff limbs. neither of you speak for a moment as rue takes a big deep breath, holding it for a few seconds before letting it go, her brown eyes fixed loosely on your tense, awkward figure. "c'mon, baby," she coaxes, attention rooted on you though she stays in her spot. her voice is soft and gentle as she continues. "just like me, hmm?" she quirks her eyebrow, a playful touch that to her chagrin goes unnoticed on your part. "i know you remember how." her tone is teasing but firm. she stops to take a few more breaths, stubbornly continuing until you take a shaky one of your own.
"good, good. there ya go!" she has to restrain herself from reaching over to tousle your hair, a smile evident in her voice as she praises you. a hand comes over her face to recenter herself, get herself calm enough to continue. she counts aloud one, two, three, four and five deep breaths before settling back on her haunches, cooing sympathetically. "you're so tense, baby." you simply mewl in response to this, so completely and utterly worn out that your heavy brain can't seem to formulate a verbal response. she hums as though you've said something, anything of substance. "yeah," she drawls. "so fuckin' tense." her words linger in the space between you as you manage a slight, almost imperceptible nod. rue's hand twitches as she instinctively begins to reach toward you though a moment later her body catches up with her brain.
still, she shifts a half centimeter closer, testing the waters now that you're able to breathe with more ease. you don't protest, and she continues by asking you to open your eyes first before slowly moving through all of your body parts from head to toe, drawing awareness to the achy tensity in each of your limbs. though not often a ritual which calms rue's own similar fits, she knows you well enough to walk you patiently through it, even in her drug addled haze. slowly but surely your body loosens, relaxing in a manner that makes you sigh dramatically, making her chuckle. although she wants to hold you, she doesn't take your shifting demeanor as an invitation, waiting for you to initiate contact first. god, she always hated when a well meaning lexi or a concerned gia would do it to her, oftentimes lashing out and only hurting feelings in the process of agitating her overwhelmed body further.
silent moments pass before you crawl into your sister's arms, with her smiling as she tuts her approval. her gangly arms envelop you, the musk of sweat clinging to her oversized hoodie. "had a hard day, huh?" you simply hum an affirmative and she clicks her tongue in understanding. "don't i know it, kid." there's a lighthearted note in her voice but it doesn't mask the tiredness underneath as you sit quietly entwined in each other.
ໃ ͝ ݂ ۫◡◡ ᣟ݂ ݄◞ຽ˳ i love talking about adult!shauna as a regressor because she never gets any content made for her and her regression is such an important part of who she is and what made her so tragic as a character before the Great Caricaturization. i think people shy away from it because its too "real" and raw and "unsavory" but sighs. i wish others would create more realistic yellowjackets stuff. i've never seen anyone else even create anything for any of them regressing in the adult tl ... this is an untapped market with lots of potential.
