Studying for the exam on Wednesday
Eating while studying is something you do when you fall asleep the day before your exam and cannot study. #studygram #studyblr #studyspo #exam #tuesday #pasta
First study session (realted to my courses) of the semester. Yaay! Psychology is fun #psychology #studyspo #studygram #egbcommunity
My dorm desk :) I can fit my PC, books, and a notebook while I study on it. I painted the crate, and decorated the pencil holder right next to it with washi tapes. It was a wafer container before. I have two postcards: one from a friend and the other came inside a Steven Wilson album who is my favorite musician. I also put my succulent and reed diffuser but I haven't started diffusing it yet, it smells jasmine #studyspo #studygram #insurgents #stevenwison #jasmine #reeddiffuser #succulents
Ready to improve my knowledge in Python! #studygram #studyspo #egbcommunity #python #weekend #coffee
Weekend study. I was too lazy during my vacation and now I have to read 2 really difficult chapters. Also, the fall themed starbucks cups are soooo pretty! #studygram #studyblr #stydyspo #coffee #weekend
You cannot study 7/24 :p #dontstarve #shipwrecked #surfacepro3 #calmsea🌊
16-sep-2016 8 am and I am writing my summer training report. Honestly, I wrote what I had not done more than I had done. Follow my studygram: rhinostudies
13-sep-2016 Writing down some recipes for the upcoming semester. I have bought a blender to make quick smoothies as breakfast. I can make soup, too! Anything is possible with a blender :p
my study moods
Tired but still going: eyes twitching, didn't sleep more than two hours last night (or not at all), "I can study a little bit more, it's okay"
Not today: opens book, reads a word, sighs, closes book
Doing a lot, learning a little: drinks 7 liters of coffee while listening to someone explain magnetic fields (even through I'm taking notes on biology), thinking about my to do list
The procrastinator: "I know I have like 36 chapters for tomorrow but I suddenly have this urge to research about aromatherapy"
Time traveling: studies for nine hours straight, "when did the sun go down?"
Inverse pomodoro: is very proud because I wrote like two sentences, time to take a four hours break
Hate/love relationship: "I hate this subject" I mumble as I keep studying it
Planted succulents from my mom's pots. Added tiny stones to make it look prettier, I don't want a dull desk to study on. Make studyspos great again! :p Follow my studygram: rhinostudies
Tried out my mom’s stamps. They are sooo cute. She has lots of them, it was fun to try each of them as much as possible. Some of them were giant stamps, really, it was so hard to put ink on them. Applied the one from Muji (letters and numbers) for a bujo header. Also shared on my studygramÂ

Active Study Tasks
Hi everyone! One of the hardest things to do is active studying before exams! While many of us study hard, we may not be considering that we are not studying actively! Passive studying is things such as only reading previously highlighted material and continuously reciting the same information over and over. To actively study, first break your study time down into two different categories: Preparation and Review!Â
The key to Preparation is ICOW! Identify, Condense, Organize, and Write. These strategies will help you do it:
Develop study sheets
Develop concept maps and charts
Create flash cards for vocab, questions, formulas and problems
Make self-tests
Remark (rehighlight or review previously highlighted material and finding what is the most important information)
Find practice problems
Outline
Rewrite any notes
Summarize text or lecture notes into main ideas
List the steps needed for a problem or concept
Plan essay answers
Answer questions at the end of the chapter.
Prepare material for a study group
Create a 5-Day study plan
Next you want to actually Review the information you gathered through your prep. The key to review is RE-USE: Rehearse, Extend, Understand, Self-Test, and Evaluate. Here are some strategies:
Recite outloud information from your study sheets
Replicate concept maps with little to no help
Recite any flashcards you made. Separate out any difficult cards so that you can continue to review them.Â
Practice writing formulas
Complete practice problems, circle steps you did wrong and try again in a different pen color (to help you identify the differences)
Take the self-tests you made before.Â
Attempt reverse testing. Make questions out of the answers from before and work them backwards.
Take notes on remarked tests and notes
Explain material to group members
Write essay answers from memory
Go through lecture slides or textbook and recite all the information you know based off of the heading.Â
Evaluate how much you know and how much you have to review again. Take longer in reviewing missed material and simply review information you learned quickly for the end of your study session.Â
Note: Many of these tasks are from the book Taking Charge of Your Learning by Dianna BlerkomÂ

Science for the Signs
Biology: Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Capricorn, Pisces
Chemistry: Aries, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Aquarius
Physics: no one fucking deserves to have physics lmao
This is so true on all levels I’m chem and chem was the subject I expected to hate but ended up loving and acing Don’t get me started on physics
Physics was my favorite subject and always wanted to be an astrophysicist, yet, I have failed so many times in high school until 12th grade (my fifth year). That year I changed my field and got no science classes.Â
My boyfriend’s choice of spending this nice early autumn afternoon. Reading The Pelican Brief with a cup of vanilla rooibos tea.
Don’t forget to follow my studygram, too!Â
