also I just noticed from a gifset that Joyce leads for Will when teaching him how to dance before the Snow Ball, which means if Joyce knows anything about traditional gender roles in social dance, which she probs does, she’s deliberately teaching Will how to dance with boys. even today in a lot of social dance communities it’s unusual for boys to follow and girls to lead, and most people who flip the script are gay/gnc.
