No More Bulletproof Boys? 🔫

Most recently ibighit released the new BTS logo animation on its company channel, featuring a sleek new style.

The new logo appeared in a monochrome 26 second video reminiscent of the the Wings mini films aesthetic, in which Namjoon’s voiceover can be heard saying their revamped English name or upcoming concept tagline: “Beyond The Scene”.

Any confusion about this apparent change has been quickly cleared by Seo Taiji’s 25th Anniversary song ’Come Back Home’ which showed the symbol representing BTS at the end of his explosive mv.

Its symptomatic of a clear change, the ending of the Bulletproof Boys as we know them after their metaphorical shooting during the previous era. Gone is the bulletproof vest, replaced by the clean lines of a parallel image resembling a closed door (BTS) and an open door (ARMY) letting the bright lights of fame bleed into the darkness behind the stage, its message is clear.

But will this redesign change their visual message going forward?

The short answer is yes, they are finally shedding their identities as boys and going over the threshold as men with cool clean styling, and a more mature, adult vibe.

A new look, for a new era.
